Abstract

The deepening environmental crisis threatens the survival of humanity, especially in mountainous areas that are vulnerable to natural disasters. This study examines the role of religion from the perspective of Tasawwuf as a solution to increase awareness and environmental conservation actions in the community of Jatiarjo Village, Prigen Pasuruan. The purpose of this study is to focus on the implementation findings of how rural communities that are active in the activities of the Naqsabandiyah Qodiriyah Tarekat succeed in protecting the environment so that they can maintain and operate these natural resources. This study uses a qualitative approach of a descriptive case study. It explores the relationship between the spiritual practice of the Thoriqoh Qodiriyah Naqsabandiyah (TQN) community and natural resource management. The study results show that the spiritual values taught in this institute encourage people to behave environmentally friendly, understand their responsibilities as caliphs, and create harmony between humans and nature. Through practices such as dhikr, gratitude rituals, and the management of organic farming and traditional irrigation systems, the TQN people preserve the environment and strengthen their spiritual identity. These findings also confirm that the integration of eco-theosophical principles can have a positive impact on environmental sustainability and strengthen community bonds in facing the challenges of environmental crises. This research is an additional recommendation and reference for the Sufism community and society, in general, to contribute to developing a more massive spirituality-based environmental preservation concept, especially in rural areas.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze strengthening of religious character through the habituation of reading Asmaul Husna. This article is the result of field research at SDN 2 Karanggondaang. This research conducted with a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive method. Abstract

The PAI Learning Strategy Based on Multiple Intelligences aims to develop students' abilities in understanding and practicing Islamic teachings according to their individual potential. This research describes the planning, implementation and evaluation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning strategies based on multiple intelligences (MI) for class III students at SD Negeri 1 Bonipoi, using descriptive qualitative methods and case studies. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation, and analyzed through data condensation and display, as well as triangulation validation. Research results: 1) Planning: Includes MI identification through observing student activities and interviews, creating a syllabus and learning tools according to student intelligence, as well as preparing supporting media. 2) Implementation: Carried out with apperception, motivation, and MI-based activities, such as singing and reflection, as well as learning activities that are appropriate to student intelligence, such as verbal linguistics, logical-mathematical, visual-spatial, kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalist. 3) Evaluation: Does not use ratings, but rather authentic assessments that include cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse curriculum development at the Arabic Language Excellence Course (KUBA) Malang City. The research used a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with Ustadz Ahmad Ubaidillah as the director of KUBA, as well as documentation in the form of teaching materials, learning media, and evaluation. Data analysis was conducted using the theory of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, through the steps of data condensation, narrative presentation, and verification of conclusions. The results showed that KUBA developed a modern technology-based curriculum with an interactive learning approach. Innovations include the use of animated videos, educational games based on digital flashcards, and online quizzes. The curriculum also integrates the book Arabiyah Baina Yadaik which is relevant to local learning needs. Evaluations are conducted regularly to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and effective, with success measured through web-based exams and feedback from teachers. The findings underscore KUBA's commitment to creating Arabic language learning that is engaging, applicable, and in line with the demands of the digital age.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine how teachers play a role in instilling values of discipline and responsibility in students during Islamic-based thematic learning. In an increasingly complex educational world, teachers must not only inform students but also teach them the positive traits that are essential for their personal and social development. This qualitative study uses interviews, classroom observations, and teaching material analysis for data collection. The research results show that Islamic-based thematic learning incorporates religious values into the learning process, thereby helping to build students' discipline and responsibility. By being a role model, implementing structured routines, and providing a supportive learning environment, teachers play a very important role. Moreover, when Islamic values are incorporated into thematic lessons, students show more responsibility and adherence to rules. This study emphasizes that character education requires a holistic approach. This approach combines daily lessons with religious principles to help students develop into disciplined and responsible individuals.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the strategies implemented by school principals in developing teacher professionalism. Teacher professionalism is needed to obtain good quality output. This research is motivated by the importance of education in supporting the nation's future development and developing the potential of students in facing global competition. The type used in this research is a qualitative case study. The data source was obtained from the MIN 5 Labuhan Batu teacher by collecting data through observation, interviews and documents. Data analysis uses qualitative data analysis which follows the Miles and Huberman concept. The results obtained from the principal's leadership strategy in developing teacher professionalism at MIN 5 Labuhan Batu are (1) preparing school planning and development by formulating short-term vision, mission and goals (1 year) and medium-term goals (4 years), (2 ) implementing the school strategy by improving the work discipline of all school members, including students, teaching staff and education staff, both in terms of learning, administration and action, and (3) establishing good cooperation with supervisors, committees, student parents and other institutions. Internal regional government institutions supervision as well as academics asking questions and providing follow-up on school programs.

Abstract

In general, guidance and counseling teachers in educational institutions serve as key figures in fostering students' emotional intelligence and addressing behavioral conflicts. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study research design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique follows an inductive method involving three stages: data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing with verification. The findings reveal that teachers implement strategic efforts to enhance students' emotional intelligence through the integration of Islamic religious education values into the learning process. These strategies manifest in two domains of commendable student behavior—inside and outside the classroom. Within the classroom context, students demonstrate the ability to resolve problems wisely, express concern and empathy towards peers, and remind one another of their academic responsibilities. Outside the classroom, students exhibit emotional resilience by not reacting negatively to bullying and by exercising self-control to refrain from verbal aggression. The incorporation of Islamic religious education into the emotional development process underscores the teacher’s dual role as both an academic instructor and a moral guide who instills spiritual values in students’ daily conduct. This study affirms that strengthening students' emotional intelligence can be effectively achieved through a pedagogical approach rooted in religious values and humanistic principles. The role of religious education becomes pivotal not only in shaping students' cognitive and affective domains but also in building a resilient and emotionally intelligent character that contributes to a harmonious school environment.

Abstract

Penelitian Konsep ta’dib KH Hasyim Asyari: aktualisasi kebijakan sistem pendidikan nasional bertujuan; 1)memerinci konsep ta’dib KH Hasyim Asy’ari dalam kitab Adabu ‘Alim Wal Muta’allim, 2)menganalisis dan memperpadukan konsep ta’dib KH Hasyim Asy’ari sebagai aktualisasi kebijakan Sisdiknas. Metode penelitian kualitatif studi pustaka menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian: 1)prinsip-prinsip konsep ta’dib KH. Hasyim Asy’ari; menitikberatkan pada pendidikan; keutamaan ilmu, ulama, dan proses belajar mengajar. Konsep ta’dib bagi peserta didik; ta’dib peserta didik terhadap dirinya, pendidik, dan proses pembelajaran. Konsep ta’dib bagi pendidik; ta’dib pendidik terhadap dirinya sendiri, kegiatan belajar mengajar (KBM), dan peserta didik. Konsep ta’dib terhadap literasi dan tradisi ilmiah. Hal ini ditekankan antara pendidik dan peserta didik pentingnya adab sebelum ilmu dan hubungan harmonis antara pendidik dan peserta didik. 2)konsep ta’dib sangat relevan dengan tujuan pendidikan nasional yang diatur dalam UU Nomor 20 Tahun 2003. Sehingga kebijakan pendidikan karakter tidak hanya berfokus pada penguasaan akademis, tetapi juga pada pembentukan kepribadian yang mulia, moralitas, dan tanggung jawab sosial, sejalan dengan pilar-pilar Gerakan Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK). Serta aktualisasi dengan melakukan tradisi ilmiah dan memperkaya literasi; yakni membentuk jiwa pembelajar tidak hanya di peruntukan kepada peserta didik saja namun pendidik juga dituntut untuk selalu menggali dan mengasah kemampuan dan keahliannya.

Abstract

Teachers are the main actors in the success of the education system. Its vital role in achieving national education goals requires the existence of professional competencies that are constantly updated, especially in the digital era. One of the absolute requirements for today's teachers is the ability to communicate effectively with students through the use of information technology. Therefore, strengthening the readiness of prospective teachers is crucial in producing educators who are professional and adaptive to the times. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of students of education study programs who were undergoing teaching practices. The analysis was carried out by data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the readiness of prospective teachers is influenced by three main factors: (1) mastery of educational technology, (2) pedagogical communication skills, and (3) field practical experience. Prospective teachers who receive adequate digital training and hands-on interaction experience with students show higher levels of readiness than others. These findings indicate that educational institutions need to design curricula based on the needs of the times, which not only emphasize theoretical aspects, but also digital practices and soft skills. Systematically increasing the readiness of prospective teachers will support the creation of a professional, effective, and globally competitive education ecosystem in the digital era.

Abstract

Pesantren, as a traditional Islamic educational institution, plays a crucial role in shaping the character and mental well-being of santri (students). This study aims to explore how the pesantren environment contributes to the development of personality that is deeply rooted in psychological and spiritual values. Employing a qualitative approach through a case study model, data were gathered using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation within a selected pesantren setting. The findings reveal that pesantren shape the character of santri through various integrated mechanisms. These include the internalization of religious values, consistent implementation of discipline, and the habituation of positive behaviors such as honesty, responsibility, cooperation, and respect. In addition, the presence of exemplary role models—such as ustadz (religious teachers) and kyai (leaders)—fosters an environment of moral learning and emotional guidance. These figures provide daily examples of patience, integrity, and self-control, which become internalized by the santri through constant interaction and imitation. Moreover, the pesantren offers a spiritually conducive environment supported by structured routines in worship, communal living, and mutual support among peers. This unique ecosystem fosters not only religious knowledge but also strengthens mental resilience, self-confidence, emotional regulation, and social empathy among students. Santri learn to manage stress, overcome personal challenges, and develop a stable and integrated personality. Therefore, pesantren should not be viewed merely as centers for Islamic instruction, but also as holistic institutions for psychological growth, promoting comprehensive character formation, mental health awareness, and emotional maturity in a balanced and sustainable manner.
