Abstract

The world of education needs to keep up with the development of information technology in providing learning services for students. One of the tools that is currently widely known for its advantages and widely used in developed countries is the electronic portfolio. The background of this program is a problem that is often faced by schools, namely the lack of teacher competence in developing learning by utilizing electronic portfolios in teaching. SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta (SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta), as one of the private schools in Yogyakarta that has a high concern for the application of information technology in learning, in collaboration with the Community Service Team of Ahmad Dahlan University carried out an electronic portfolio-based learning development training which was attended by teachers of various subjects and education staff who served in various school service units. The objective of this activity is to improve teachers' understanding and skills by using electronic portfolios to support the realization of quality learning. The methods used are training and mentoring for teachers to develop electronic portfolio- based learning, improving internet infrastructure, and monitoring and evaluation. This training has resulted in an increase in the trainees' understanding of the concept of electronic portfolios and the improvement of participants' skills as shown by a total of 43 participants who have been able to develop their electronic portfolios. To ensure the implementation of electronic portfolios in schools, the Principal has decided that six classes with IT (Information Technology) specialization consisting of two learning groups from Grade 7, Grade 8, and Grade 9 will implement electronic portfolio-based learning. The impact of this training is that teachers have a positive mindset towards the use of information technology so that it further increases the opportunity for schools to improve the quality of learning in accordance with technological developments.

Abstract

Desa Karimunting has the potential for medicinal plants, such as nutmeg, sappan wood, lime citrus, and fruits. Sappan wood contains the antioxidant brazilin, which can give an orange to red color, depending on the pH. Meanwhile, lime citrus contains citric acid, which is used to modify the color produced by sappan wood. This PkM aims to provide education and training in making candied dried fruit with modified natural dyes from sapan wood and limau citrus. The method used provided material followed by training in making candied dried fruit. The PkM results were examined through a pre and post-test, and then the data was processed using the t-test. Evaluation of the program was performed using a Likert scale. The results acquired are candied dried fruit products with various colors. Based on the evaluation results, there was a growth in participants' understanding from 67 to 82.43, implied by a substantial difference between the pre and post-test results. The index value of opinion is 98.67% in the very satisfied category. This shows that PkM activities can supply education and skills for the community in processing fruit plantation products into candied dried fruit, which is beneficial for health and has economic potential.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide an understanding to teachers who are engaged in seeking to enhance the competence of teachers in conducting merdeka curriculum, improving critical thinking skills, and problem-solving using Computational Thinking with unplugged learning. Computational Thinking becomes the learning needed in 21st century education in an independent curriculum and one of the skills that needs to be integrated into education. Teachers, as the main pillar of education, play an important role in the mastery of Computational Thinking in pupils. Based on discussions with some teachers at Majalengka, the teachers still do not understand the concept and application of Computational Thinking in learning. Computational Thinking can be taught and trained without using a computer commonly known as unplugged learning. This activity uses the Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) methodology in which Teachers and Students of the Computer Science Studies Program collaborate with the Majalengka District Education Service to contribute to providing service learning to teachers at all levels of education to implement Computational Thinking learning with unplugged learning in their respective schools. The results showed that 54.8% of teachers understood and mastered Computational Thinking with unplugged methods, 78.6% of the teachers considered unplugged methods important to support the learning process.
