Abstract

This study aims to measure the level of stakeholder satisfaction with the quality of service and education at the Faculty of Education, State University of Malang. The research employs a quantitative analysis method, utilizing a structured questionnaire based on five service quality indicators: Tangible, Responsiveness, Reliability, Empathy, and Assurance. The questionnaire was distributed to stakeholders, including students, lecturers, and staff. The results indicate that the overall level of stakeholder satisfaction is high, with the Assurance indicator scoring the highest at 76.6%, reflecting strong trust in services provided. The lowest score was observed in the Responsiveness indicator at 72.8%, suggesting a need for improvement in addressing stakeholder needs promptly. The study is limited to stakeholders at the Faculty of Education, and the findings may not be generalizable to other faculties or institutions. The findings provide valuable insights for the Faculty of Education to enhance service quality, particularly in responsiveness, to better meet stakeholder expectations. This research contributes to the ongoing efforts to improve educational service quality by providing empirical data on stakeholder satisfaction within a specific academic context.

Abstract

The learning process greatly influences student activity and behavior, causing students to be more active in the learning process when learning is designed with a good teaching style. Students are expected to always be active and have intelligence that will be a provision when they become educators, but in fact, in the field, many students always complain about the indoor lecture process and that interpersonal intelligence is not used enough by students. This research aims to analyze whether the application of the two stay two stray learning model can improve PKN students' understanding of concepts. The method used in this research is a quantitative survey method. The population in this study was 98 students and 10 people with PGSD doses. Data collection uses observation and questionnaires with data analysis methods including validity and reliability tests, normality tests, linearity tests. The results of the research show that the significance value for the influence of X1 and It is hoped that this will serve as material for consideration in order to increase students' motivation and interpersonal intelligence and also as a suggestion for future researchers so that they can carry out research by encouraging students' interpersonal intelligence to be better and developing the learning process

Abstract

Given the significant increase in the use of AI tools in academic writing, this study aims to assess the AI literacy skills among postgraduate students in academic writing, focusing on their affective, behavioral, cognitive, and ethical competencies. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected via a survey conducted among 54 postgraduate students from Muhammadiyah University of Pringsewu Lampung and the State Islamic Institute Ambon. The survey included 20 items measuring the four dimensions of AI literacy. Data analysis involved computing frequencies and percentages to evaluate the participants' demographic profile and AI literacy levels. Findings revealed a generally high level of AI literacy, with students demonstrating positive attitudes towards AI tools, active integration of these tools in their writing processes, and a strong understanding of AI's benefits. However, areas for improvement were identified, particularly in motivation and ethical considerations. This research provides insights into the current state of AI literacy among postgraduate students and highlights the need for a targeted AI literacy model to enhance their academic writing skills efficiently and ethically. In conclusion, the research underscores the need for a targeted AI literacy model to enhance students' academic writing skills while addressing motivational and ethical gaps, fostering more effective and responsible use of AI in academic settings.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism at SMA Negeri 1 Lasolo remains low, as evidenced by the underutilization of the school's website despite its availability since 2019. Meanwhile, one of the teachers at the school is a CS50X Harvard University alumnus, presenting an opportunity to enhance the professionalism of other teachers. Therefore, this study aims to empower the CS50X alumnus to improve teacher professionalism through the development of technology-based teaching materials. This study employs a research and development (R&D) approach using the MPI + R method, involving 29 teachers as participants. The MPI + R method consists of Material, Practice, Innovation, and Reflection phases, designed to enhance teacher competency through peer teaching. Data were collected using questionnaires, observations, and document analysis, then analyzed using paired t-tests and correlation analysis to measure the effectiveness of the program.  The findings indicate that the program successfully enhanced teachers' skills in developing application-based teaching materials integrated with the school's digital platform. In kind off Google Sites. Furthermore, teachers showed a significant increase in motivation and interest in utilizing technology for instructional purposes. However, challenges such as infrastructure limitations and internet connectivity issues were identified as barriers to technology adoption. This study concludes that empowering CS50X Harvard University alumni through peer teaching is an effective strategy for improving teacher digital competencies. It is recommended that schools and policymakers invest in infrastructure improvements and provide ongoing teacher training to maximize technology integration in education. Moreover, this program contributes to strengthening the Merdeka Curriculum by enhancing teachers’ digital readiness in classroom instruction.

Abstract

The teaching skills of preschool teachers in Mogadishu require significant improvement, particularly in adapting to modern educational methodologies. Despite the growing importance of digital resources, many preschool teachers do not integrate or utilize technology during teaching practices. This preliminary study aims to conduct a needs analysis for developing an educational website focused enhancing the teaching skills of preschool teachers. Data collection was conducted through structured and unstructured interviews with 20 preschool teachers from four preschools in Mogadishu, Somalia. Participants were selected using a stratified purposeful sample and categorized by experience: 10 with < 3 years and 10 with > 3 years. This study used the ADDIE model, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. However, this study is limited to analyze stage to identify challenges in teaching materials, technology integration gaps, and the role of educational websites in addressing these needs. The study reveals that preschool teachers in Mogadishu predominantly rely on traditional teaching materials, facing significant gaps in resources, while the integration of educational technology remains limited due to insufficient training, digital skills, and technical support. Teachers expressed a strong need for accessible technology-integrated resources. More than 50% of the interviewed teachers preferred educational website for ready-made materials, though some favored offline e-books due to unreliable internet access. Thus, this study underscores the critical need to develop an educational website to enhance preschool teachers' skills in Mogadishu, addressing gaps in technology integration and access to modern teaching resources.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning results of mathematics fraction material for grade IV students of SDN-13 Palangka in Palangka Raya city in fraction calculation operations, the problems that arise are what are the types and factors that cause student errors in completing fraction calculation operations. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of errors and factors that cause student errors in solving problems related to fractional calculation operations, The procedure for analyzing student errors used is the Newman procedure. This type of research is a quantitative research with a case study design. Data collection was carried out by test techniques and analysis of student answers on test answer sheets, with 32 research subjects. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis. The questions used for data collection were first tested to determine the distinguishing power and difficulty level of the questions. The results showed that all 32 research subjects made mistakes in each question item with various types of errors, namely concept errors of 45.93%, principles errors of 16.25%, operational errors of 1.87% and errors due to lack of thoroughness of 5%. There are 3 factors that cause students to make mistakes, namely: 1) difficulty understanding concepts; 2) not understanding the principle of fraction operation; 3) and because of forgetting and not being thorough. The factors that cause student errors in solving problems are related to instrumental factors, one of which is the teacher who is incomplete in providing an understanding of mathematical concepts, especially the concept of fractions and their operations.

Abstract

Health is one of the gifts and grace given by the creator to humans, with the gift of health, humans can carry out all their activities properly to fulfill all their life needs and their existence. This study aims to analyze the implementation of health education values in Dayah Bustanul Ulum and Dayah Futuhul Ma'arif Al-Aziziyah, focusing on the behavior of students in implementing cleanliness, healthy eating patterns, exercise, and mental health. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological design is used to understand students' understanding of the concept of holistic health that includes physical, mental, and spiritual aspects, which are in accordance with Islamic teachings. Primary and secondary data were collected through interviews, observations, field notes, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that both dayahs have a strong commitment to educating students about healthy living as part of worship and social responsibility. Dayah Bustanul Ulum emphasizes the provision of public health facilities with adequate leadership support and facilities, so that the health culture there is more effectively implemented. Meanwhile, Dayah Futuhul Ma'arif Al-Aziziyah faces challenges in leadership support and limited facilities, which hinder the effectiveness of health program implementation. These findings reinforce the importance of health-conscious leadership, provision of adequate facilities, and integration of health education into the curriculum as effective steps to increase awareness and implementation of healthy living behaviors among students. The conclusion is that the different approaches in these two dayahs reflect variations in the application of health values, such as healthy diet, hygiene, and physical activity, which are based on Islamic principles.

Abstract

The development of a web-based educational game for the teaching of Physical Education, Sports, and Health (Penjasorkes) represents an innovative approach aimed at enhancing student engagement and comprehension of fundamental soccer techniques, including passing, dribbling, and shooting. However, traditional methods in Physical Education classes often rely heavily on verbal instructions and textbooks, leading to low student motivation and limited mastery of basic techniques. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) methodology based on the Alessi & Trollip model, which encompasses stages of planning, design, and development. The research subjects include media experts, content specialists, Penjasorkes teachers from high schools and vocational schools, and students as end users. The research involved two media experts, two content experts, three Penjasorkes teachers, and 93 students from high schools and vocational schools in the Boyolali region of Central Java. Data collection was conducted through observations and questionnaires, followed by qualitative and quantitative analysis. The alpha test results indicated a "very good" validation from experts and practitioners, with an average score of 89%, while the beta test conducted with students yielded an average score of 90%, demonstrating the feasibility and appeal of this media. These findings affirm that the web-based educational game can significantly boost student motivation and engagement, serving as a practical solution to the limitations of conventional learning media. Consequently, this educational game is not only pertinent to Penjasorkes instruction in high schools and vocational schools but also has the potential to serve as a model for the development of similar media in other educational contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of local wisdom, environmental sensitivity, and disaster anticipation on social balance in Jember Regency. This study uses a social theory that underlies that local wisdom, environmental sensitivity, and disaster anticipation can affect social balance. The research method used is a survey with cluster and stratified random sampling techniques on 50 respondents in Panti District, Jember Regency. The collected data were analyzed using SEM PLS by calculating the multiple linear regression values ​​of three independent variables (local wisdom, environmental sensitivity, and disaster anticipation) and one dependent variable (social balance). The results of the analysis show that local wisdom, environmental sensitivity, and disaster anticipation have a significant positive effect on social balance in Panti District, Jember Regency. The novelty in this study is that it can integrate three important elements of local wisdom, environmental sensitivity and disaster anticipation in one complete framework to improve the social balance of junior high school students in disaster-prone areas. The findings of this study enrich the theory of contextual learning based on local culture and broaden the understanding of disaster mitigation education at the junior high school level. The theoretical implications of this study are to provide a positive contribution to the development of social theory on the influence of local wisdom, environmental sensitivity, and disaster anticipation on social balance. While the practical implications are recommendations to improve local wisdom, environmental sensitivity, and disaster anticipation in order to improve social balance in Panti District, Jember Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia.

Abstract

In programming education, problem-solving skills are essential for high school students to understand and apply coding concepts effectively. Traditional teaching methods often lack interactive elements, making it difficult for students to engage with complex programming concepts. Digital modules offer an interactive and structured learning approach that can enhance students' engagement and cognitive abilities in problem-solving. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of digital modules in enhancing high school students’ problem-solving skills in programming education. A quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test assessments was used to compare the outcomes between experimental and control groups. The study involved 60 high school students, divided into two groups: 30 students in the experimental group using digital modules and 30 in the control group relying on conventional methods such as lectures and PowerPoint presentations. The digital module was designed with structured tasks and collaborative coding activities to support analytical thinking and practical problem-solving. Data analysis, including independent sample t-tests and N-Gain calculations, demonstrated a significant improvement in the experimental group’s problem-solving performance. The experimental group achieved an N-Gain score of 85.2%, categorized as "high effectiveness," highlighting the module’s ability to enhance critical problem-solving skills. These findings indicate that digital modules are effective tools for improving problem-solving competencies in programming education. This study suggests that integrating digital modules into teaching practices can foster student engagement and skill development, addressing the needs of modern education. Further research is recommended to explore their long-term impact and application across different subjects.
