Abstract

This research explores questioning skills in the digital age as an essential competency in modern education. These skills support students' cognitive development, strengthen teacher-student interaction and promote critical thinking. This study examines teachers' tasks and challenges in developing students' questioning skills using digital technology. The approach used is a systematic literature review that analyzes recent articles to identify effective strategies as well as barriers faced by teachers. The findings show that technology-based strategies, such as project learning and virtual simulations, improve students' questioning skills by creating an interactive learning environment. However, barriers such as the digital divide and teachers limited technological expertise hinder full implementation. This research provides recommendations for technology-integrated teacher training to enhance effective questioning skills. The implication is that collaboration between teachers and curriculum developers is necessary to optimally utilize technology opportunities and create critical and meaningful learning experiences in the digital era.

Abstract

Introduction to the environment and social aspects in early childhood is an essential factor in shaping children's character and social skills. The family, as the first social environment, played a primary role in teaching fundamental values such as togetherness, affection, and responsibility. This study aimed to describe the scope of introducing social sciences to early childhood. The research method used was a literature study, involving the analysis of journals and related literature. The results showed that the family served as a vital foundation in children's social development through the formation of basic values and the teaching of social roles. Children were also introduced to self-identity, emotions, and their responsibilities in daily life. Early Childhood Education (ECE) played a strategic role in integrating this understanding into educational programs, which did not solely focus on academic aspects but also emphasized character building. Through comprehensive and systematic introduction, children could grow into independent, empathetic, and responsible individuals, ready to face a harmonious social life in the future.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to identify the indicators of romantic love, describe how romantic love is reflected, and explain why these elements are exposed in the film Little Women (2019) from a philosophical perspective. The research focuses on the emotional relationships within the March family, encompassing love, togetherness, sacrifice, and freedom among the sisters in various relationship dynamics. The study identifies six key elements of romanticism: love as an expression of deep emotion, freedom in love, the sublimity of love through nature, love as a process of self-discovery, tragic and unrequited love, and sacrifice in love. These elements are elaborated through the analysis of the main characters' interactions, such as Jo, Laurie, Meg, and Amy, which reflect the complexity of human emotions. The findings reveal that love in this film is a transformational experience, involving not only happiness but also sacrifice, freedom, and emotional journeys in self-discovery. This study provides new insights into how elements of romanticism enrich family dynamics and emotional values, making the film a significant subject for further exploration within the context of romanticism philosophy.

Abstract

The Direct learning model was one of the learning models commonly used in science education; however, it was considered less effective and resulted in monotonous learning. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the Direct learning model in science education. The research was conducted at Muhammadiyah Private Junior High School 1 Medan using an experimental method with a pre-experimental design model of the one-shot case study type. The results of the study showed that Direct learning was not effective for science education, as the calculated t-value of 0.519 was smaller than the t-table value of 1.697. The ineffectiveness of Direct learning was due to its teacher-centered nature, which was unsuitable for science education that required students to be active in the learning process. Therefore, the Direct learning model was not suitable for application in science education.
