Abstract

Students' ability to manage themselves during the learning process is essential for development. This research examines student behavior in completing academic assignments due to a lack of discipline and self-control in regulating their learning activities. This research is crucial for developing students' self-management skills in relation to the learning process. The purpose of this study is to develop a scale self-regulated learning with psychometric tests. This research uses a model confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) with the program. AMOS is done because the scale items are built from existing constructs, namely from self-regulated learning Zimmerman's Social Cognition. Therefore, CFA was done because the items were prepared to be used in the Indonesian context, so the scale's validity needed to be tested. Scale development self-regulated learning. This research is concerned with students' ability to prepare themselves for learning. The subjects of this study were 70 students from Makassar State University. The final selection results of the scale consisted of 21 items and loading factor ≥ 0.5 with good reliability, namely AVE = 0.753 (more than 0.50) and composite reliability = 0.955 (more than 0.70).

Abstract

Visual arts education in elementary schools plays a crucial role in developing students' creativity, imagination, and expressive abilities. This study aims to explore the use of stones as a painting medium in art education and its impact on enhancing the creativity of elementary school students. Stones were chosen as an alternative medium due to their easy availability in the surrounding environment, diverse shapes and textures, and their ability to stimulate students’ creative potential in producing artworks. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation of student artworks. The findings reveal that the use of stones as a painting medium significantly enhances students’ enthusiasm, active participation, and creativity in the art learning process. Students feel challenged to adapt their designs to the natural shapes of the stones, which encourages the development of original and flexible visual ideas. Additionally, this activity strengthens the connection between art and the environment while fostering ecological awareness from an early age. Teachers also found this method beneficial as a more contextual and enjoyable learning alternative. Based on these findings, it is recommended that art teachers integrate stone media into learning activities to enrich students’ aesthetic experiences. This study also opens opportunities for the development of more innovative and locally grounded art curricula.

Abstract

In today's digital era, it's clear that children prefer playing with gadgets to exercising or doing physical activities. This can interfere with students' physical fitness, so it's no wonder that many children today are less energetic, easily tired, and less mobile. This study aimed to determine the effect of traditional Bentenng games on increasing the physical fitness of SDN Sie students. This quantitative study used the pre-experiment method with 12 students as subjects. The sampling technique used was saturation sampling. Data were collected using the TKJI test instrument, which included the 40-meter run, elbow hanging (pull-up), 30-second sit-up, and upright jump tests. The students were then given treatment before and after the traditional fort game. Results of the homogeneity analysis showed a significance value of 0.516, which is greater than 0.05; therefore, the results (pre and post) are homogeneous. The normality test, using the Shapiro-Wilk test, showed significance values of 0.301 and 0.692 for the pre- and post-test data, respectively, indicating that the data were normally distributed at both measurement stages. The results of the two-sided paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.020, indicating a significant difference in the TKJI test results before and after the traditional fort game

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the sensory characteristics of savory bakpia with tuna and sambal matah flavored tempeh filling in various filling percentages, namely 30%, 40%, and 50%. The background of this research is the desire to bring innovation to new flavors of bakpia products, which have been dominated by sweet flavors. The research method used was experimental, with sensory tests conducted by 10 expert panelists on the aspects of color, aroma, taste, and texture. The results showed that bakpia with sambal matah filling of 40% had the highest average value in almost all sensory aspects, making it the most preferred formulation. Tests were also conducted with consumer panelists to determine which percentage of sambal matah was most preferred. The results of consumer acceptance obtained the type of percentage preferred by consumers, namely the 40% chili sauce matah treatment. This product was developed in the form of a business startup with the trademark “Bakkate” and marketed through social media such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok. Consumer satisfaction analysis revealed high satisfaction levels, particularly in taste (92%), packaging design (92%), and customer service friendliness (90.6%). Other aspects such as pricing, ease of purchase, and delivery speed were also positively rated above 84%. Financial analysis indicated that with a selling price of IDR 22,000 per box and an initial investment of IDR 412,740, the business reached a profit of IDR 845,102 in the first month, with a projected break-even point of approximately 9.1 months. The results suggest that savory bakpia with tuna and tempeh sambal matah has high potential as an innovative local food product and business startup, provided consistent marketing strategies and product development are maintained.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the changes in the social structure of the community in Nagari Mandeh, Mandeh Subdistrict, Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province. Over the past decade, this nagari has undergone significant social transformation, particularly in terms of livelihood and social stratification. The main shift has occurred from traditional economic sectors such as agriculture, plantations, forestry, and fisheries toward tourism and service sectors, driven by the development of natural potential and infrastructure improvements. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies involving six purposively selected informants. The findings show that the people of Nagari Mandeh have been able to adapt to these changes through increased income, social mobility, and quality of life. The application of Talcott Parsons’ AGIL theory indicates that the four functions of the social system—Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, and Latency—have been effectively implemented. As a result, the transformation of the social structure in Nagari Mandeh has proceeded in a balanced manner without eroding local cultural identity. These findings demonstrate that social transformation, when managed inclusively and adaptively, can lead to prosperity and sustainability for traditional communities.
