Indayani I, Pulungan AS, Prasatya D, Miranda M, Mardiyah NU, Ramadhani CS, Umayah A, Gunawan B, Arsi A. 2022. Inventory and identification of mites on roses in Ogan Ilir District, South Sumatra Province. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-10 Tahun 2022, Palembang 27 Oktober 2022. pp. 751-758. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Roses are widely cultivated by the public because of their beautiful and beautiful appearance as well as their fragrant and distinctive aroma, so they are nicknamed the queen of flowers, but on the other hand, roses are easily attacked by various species of mites. This study aimed to determine the species of mites on roses so that this research can make it easier to recognize and overcome the symptoms of mite attacks on roses. This research was conducted in the villages of Timbangan, Palem Raya, Sembabu Island, and Tanjung Sejaro, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province using survey and sampling methods. The results of the study have obtained 2 species of mites with the genus Tetranychus spp. The spread of mites occurs rapidly due to wind and human activities. Mites are polyphagous, so the possibility of expanding the host due to this pest should be watched out for. Mites attack can cause the process of formation of leaves and stems to be hampered so that the productivity of ornamental plants decreases. The mites damage the plant by sucking the liquid from the leaf cells which results in pale spots due to the damaged epidermal cells due to being sucked in. Although the individual damage caused by mites is small, with a population of thousands of mites attacking plants, it will cause more injuries so that it can reduce the photosynthetic ability of plants. So, roses are plants that are liked by many people but are often attacked by mites. It is better if the rose has been attacked by mites to minimize the spread of the attack, it is expected to spray pesticide liquid, rely on natural enemies, and plant high-yielding varieties.

Abstract

Hendarjanti H, DB Heri, Nawangsari LC.  2022. Impact green training and environmentally friendly behavior to green supply chain management towards sustainable palm oil industry (case study on oil palm farmer in Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatera). In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-10 Tahun 2022, Palembang 27 Oktober 2022. pp. 885-897. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Oil palm smallholders have an important role in ensuring the supply of Indonesian crude palm oil. They must increase their production capacity and product quality of palm oil raw materials. Farmers need to make changes so that they can produce quality palm oil. Also, oil palm smallholders need to form a business entity to have strength and selling points in the palm oil processing industry. Farmers are the main actors involved in crude palm oil's environmentally friendly supply chain. This study aimed to examine the impact of green training and environmentally sound behaviour on the availability of green supply chains in a sustainable palm oil industry. This study uses quantitative methods through data collection using questionnaire sheets to 82 oil palm farmers who participated in Oil Palm Cultivation Technical Training in Palembang organized by Badan Pengelola Dana Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit  (BPDPKS), Direktorat Jenderal Perkebunan and Best Planter Indonesia (BPI). Data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modelling software (Smart PLS 3.3.3). The results show that Green Training and Environmentally Friendly Behavior significantly affect Green Supply Chain Management. Green Training implemented in Green Insight Behavior will encourage farmers to take initiatives and take environmentally friendly actions to minimize the impact on the environment. Environmentally Friendly Behavior positively affects Green Supply Chain Management, especially on Integrated Pest Management. This study develops a comprehensive empirical model that examines the co-effect of Green Training and Farmer Environmentally Friendly Behavior in achieving a sustainable oil palm agribusiness industry.

Species of pests on cassava plants include mealybugs, red mites and so on. These pests can cause direct damage to plants. This survey aimed to find out several species of pests found in cassava plants and to see firsthand the damage caused by these pests. The method used in this study is a survey method, namely observation (direct observation) on cassava plantations in Tanjung Pering Village, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. Based on the results of this survey, the types of pests that attack the cassava plant (Manihot esculante Crantz) are the mealybug species (Phenacoccus manihoti Matile-Ferrero), the urethral pest species (Xylenthropus) and the red mite pest species (Tetranychus Urticae Koch). The mealybugs and red mites attack the leaves, precisely on the back of the leaf bones and for the urethic pests attack the underground roots. So, it can be concluded that there are three pests that attack cassava plants, namely red mites, mealybugs and uret which cause some damage to cassava plants. Preferably, in field surveys it would be better if you document using a macro lens to make it look clearer.

(Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-11 Tahun 2023, Palembang 21 Oktober 2023. (pp. 498-506).  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).In the implementation of forest area protection, women face obstacles to actively contribute because the obstacles for women in carrying out conservation activities were greater than the opportunities available, so women's participation was quite low. This study aimed to determine the category of women's contribution in protecting the Kerinci Seblat National Park area. Respondents were selected based on purposive sampling method. The types of women's activities were categorized as active, passive, and negative. The results of in-depth interviews showed that the highest percentage of respondents' job characteristics were farmers. The results of in-depth interviews showed that women have high motivation to participate in programs implemented by the Kerinci Seblat National Park management such as counseling, planting, and other programs that can contribute to preserving the Kerinci Seblat National Park. The active participation of women through tree planting activities in the Kerinci Seblat National Park area such as pine, candlenut, and other woody plants carried out on formerly encroached land. The results of in-depth interviews with respondents also showed other activities carried out by women in the Kerinci Seblat National Park area, namely the maintenance of candlenut plants until they become saplings. The average respondent's garden visited directly to the field contained forestry plants such as sengon, acacia, onion wood, and other trees. So, the women of Pal VIII Village had made an active contribution in preserving the Kerinci Seblat National Park area.

Rubber and palm oil is an export comoditiy that is able to contribute to efforts to increase the country‟s foreign exchange. The purpose of this research were: (1) to analyze the characteristics of children of plantation farmers, and (2) to analyze the perception of farmers' children in continuing plantation farming.  The research was carried out at the end of December 2021 in Banyuasin III District, Banyuasin and Tanjung Lubuk District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The research method used was a survey method by interviewing children in productive age child in 2 village. The sampling method used was a proposionate stratified random sampling method. The samples taken in this study were 67 samples. The results showed that  Characteristics of children of plantation farmers in the dominant age are 15-17 years, education are junior high school graduates, dominated by women with a percentage, the length of time farmer children participate in family farming on average is about 3 years. The perception of children of rubber farmers in continuing rubber farming is in the criteria of being less interested with a total average score of 53.25. It means that in, there is an intergenerational transfer of agricultural business. However, it still requires guidance from both the family and counseling to reassure the perception of the farmer's children. The interest of children in continuing oil palm farming is in the criteria of being less interested with an average total score of 53.61, meaning that in farmer regeneration activities also took place in palm oil plantation. However, they still need guidance from both the parents' families and through agricultural counseling to reassure the interest of farmer children.

Yudianti, Y., Herlinda, S., Millinia, J., Rindiani, D. E., Marlina, D., & Netaria, N. (2023). Meliponiculture of Stingless bee (Hymenoptera: Apidae) in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-11 Tahun 2023, Palembang  21 Oktober 2023. (pp. 333-344). Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).The survival of stingless bee populations is threatened, partly due to loss of natural habitat due to land use change and deforestation. This study aimed to determine how to cultivate stingless bees in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. The method used is survey or direct observation in the field to observe tools and materials for making nest boxes, multiplying colonies, harvesting honey, packaging honey, marketing and conducting interviews with stingless bee farmers. This study interviewed one stingless bee farmer. Tools and materials used in making nests include trees, boards, nails, hammers, zinc, plastic, bricks, saws. The development and number of colonies depends on the forage plants around the hive. Honey harvesting tools and materials include a honey suction machine, sticks/toothpicks and honey storage. Honey packaging uses labeled syrup bottles. The resulting stingless bee honey products are sold in the Prabumulih traditional market, Palembang, social media and come directly to the stingless bee cultivation garden. The results showed that stingless bee cultivation is carried out by starting with land preparation, then finding colonies, moving colonies, maintaining colonies and harvesting honey. Stingless bee cultivation methods should be socialized to the community so that they can practice stingless bee cultivation which is beneficial for agricultural ecosystems, human health and also as a source of livelihood.

Abstract

Al-Hidayah, R., Susmiyati, H. R., Hardi, E. H., Diana, R., Palupi, N. P. (2023). Legal strategy for smart silvofishery pond development in mangrove rehabilitation in the capital city of nusantara. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-11 Tahun 2023, Palembang  21 Oktober 2023. (pp. 616-625).  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Mangrove ecosystem areas in The Nusantara Capital area have not been protected, especially those located in traditional fish pond cultivation development areas. The aimed of this research is to analyse the legal problems of developing smart silvofishery ponds in mangrove rehabilitation and formulate legal strategies to overcome them. The method is a socio-legal research method with a qualitative approach used. The research results show that legal problems in the development of smart silvofishery ponds occur as a result of the absence of specific regulations governing this matter. Government and the community feel that they have no obligation to develop smart silvofishery ponds which will affect mangrove rehabilitation efforts. Besides that, fish farming operators do not understand the concept and urgency of smart silvofishery. Facing these problems, legal strategies are important to implement. Referring to the theory of legal formation, the law aims to integrate and coordinate various interests in society because in a traffic of interests, protection of certain interests can only be done by limiting various interests on the other side. The legal strategy is developed by establishing regulations at the central, regional and local levels regarding legal protection, both preventive and repressive. Preventive legal protection includes provisions that are preventative (prohabited) and repressive legal protection that is punitive (sanction). Multi-stakeholder roles and meaningful community participation are also needed.
