Abstract

Pemeliharaan ikan lele yang dilakukan pembudidaya ikan sebagian besar tidak melakukan upaya pengelolaan kualitas air seperti sirkulasi maupun penggantian air (water exchange). Salah satu teknologi untuk menjaga kualitas air media budidaya adalah menggunakan sistem resirkulasi. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk mengaplikasikan sistem resirkulasi dengan mengunakan filter dalam pengelolaan kualitas air sehingga diperoleh kualitas air yang mendukung bagi budidaya ikan lele. Metode penelitian terdiri dari dua perlakuan yaitu P0: perlakuan non filter dan P1: perlakuan sistem resirkulasi dengan filter. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa pengunaan sistem resirkulasi menggunakan filter dapat memperbaiki kualitas air yaitu penurunan kandungan amonia  yaitu dari 2,6 menjadi 0,1 mg/l, pertumbuhan panjang ikan lele sebesar 9,48 cm, pertumbuhan bobot ikan lele sebesar 37,15 g dan kelangsungan hidup sebesar 94%.

Abstract

Tanaman nipah (Nypa fruticans Wumb) dikelompokkan ke dalam tanaman hutan mangrove yang tumbuh di daerah pantai di muara sungai yang berair payau. Penggunaan daun nipah pada ikan baru sebagai antibakteri sedangkan kandungan nutrisi daun nipah dan aktivitas antioksidan daun nipah muda dan tua belum diketahui. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan nutrisi dan aktivitas antioksidan daun nipah muda dan tua sebagai bahan pakan ikan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan analisis proksimat dan uji aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan metode 1,1-difenil-2 pikrilhidrazil (DPPH). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daun nipah mengandung kandungan nutrisi terutama karbohidrat yang tinggi dan antioksidan sangat kuat sehingga berpotensi menjadi bahan pakan ikan. Kandungan nutrisi daun nipah muda yang dihasilkan yaitu protein 10,64%, lemak 1,27%, bahan ekstrak tanpa nitrogen (BETN) 41,07%, serat kasar 38,82%, abu 8,20%  dan nilai aktivitas antioksidan IC50 sebesar 29,04 µg/mL sedangkan kandungan nutrisi daun nipah tua yang dihasilkan yaitu protein 14,23%, lemak 2,33%, bahan ekstrak tanpa nitrogen (BETN)  49,99%, serat kasar 20,5*%, abu 12,88% dan nilai aktivitas antioksidan IC50 sebesar 43,59 µg/mL.Kata Kunci:  Antioksidan, Daun Nipah, Nutrisi, Pakan Ikan

Abstract

The kissing gourami (Helostoma temminckii) is a freshwater fish with high economic value, so it has a high potential for cultivation. However, increasing fish stocking density in aquaculture can result in a decrease in water quality in the culture media. A recirculation system is one solution for overcoming the decline in water quality caused by high fish density. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal density of kissing gourami fry size 6.00±1.00 cm in a recirculation system. The research was carried out in November - December 2020 at the Basic Fisheries Laboratory, Aquaculture Study Program, Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This research method used a completely randomized design (CRD), with 4 treatments of stocking density of kissing gourami, namely 2, 3, 4, and 5 fish L-1, respectively, which were carried out with 3 replications. The parameters observed included water quality, growth, survival rate, feed convertion ratio and blood glucose levels. The results of this study indicated that the best density was 1 fish L-1  with the water quality was 26.5 – 28.6oC for temperature, pH 5.9 – 7.4, dissolved oxygen 4.22 – 5.87  mg L -1 and ammonia 0.12 - 0.25 mg L -1, absolute weight growth was 0.90± 0.47 g, absolute length growth was 2.26± 0.17 cm, , survival rate was 100 %, FCR was 1.74, and blood glucose levels were 32.33 – 53.33  mg dL-1.  Key words : kissing gourami, production, recirculation, stocking density, water quality

Abstract

Desa Pulau Semambu merupakan suatu desa yang terdapat di Kabupaten Ogan Ilir yang memiliki potensial untuk dilakukan pengembangan bidang perikanan terutama dibidang budidaya ikan perairan tawar. Permasalahan dihadapi oleh pembudidaya ikan yang menjadi mitra adalah tingginya harga pakan di pasar sehingga menyebabkan keuntungan yang diperoleh oleh mitra rendah. Hal ini mendorong tim pelaksana untuk menginisiasi untuk membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut yaitu dengan membuat pakan tambahan. Pakan tambahan merupakan pakan yang diberikan selain pakan utama berupa pelet. Salah satu bahan yang dapat digunakan antara lain dedak dan ampas tahu. Penggunaan pakan tambahan berupa fermentasi dedak dengan ampas tahu diharapkan dapat mengurangi penggunaan pakan komersial sehingga dapat mengurangi penggunaan pakan komersil dan menghasilkan pertumbuhan ikan yang tinggi. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu: (1) Tahap persiapan, (2) Tahap sosialisasi atau penyuluhan dan pelatihan pembuatan pakan tambahan, (3) Tahap monitoring dan evaluasi dengan pendampingan teknis pemeliharaan ikan di lokasi mitra oleh mahasiswa praktek lapang. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, kelompok pembudidaya sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan dan secara aktif mengajukan pertanyaan pada sesi diskusi. Berdasarkan dempot yang dilakukan diperoleh bahwa ikan yang diberikan pakan tambahan menghasilkan pertumbuhan bobot dan panjang mutlak serta efisiensi pakan ikan patin yang tinggi yaitu sebesar masing-masing sebesar 6,7 g, 5,2 cm dan 133,0 %. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa pakan tambahan berupa fermentasi dedak dengan ampas tahu dapat diterapkan dalam budidaya ikan patin. Kata kunci: Pakan tambahan, Ikan patin, Desa Pulau Semambu ABSTRACT Pulau Semambu Village located in Ogan Ilir Regency has the potential to be developed in the fisheries, especially in the freshwater fish farming. The problem faced by fish farmers who are partners is the high price of feed in the market, which causes the lowly profits obtained by the partners. This prompted the implementation team to initiate to help solve the problem by making additional feed. Additional food is feed given in addition to the main feed in the form of pellets. One ingredient that can be used namely bran and tofu dregs. The use of additional feed form of bran fermentation with tofu waste is expected to reduce the use of commercial feed. The service activities were carried out through several stages: (1) Preparation stage, (2) Counseling and training stage for making additional feed, (3) The monitoring and evaluation phase was carried out with a demonstration plot of technical assistance in maintaining fish at a partner location by field practice students. Based on the results obtained, the group of farmers is very enthusiastic about participating in the extension activities and actively asking questions at the discussion session. Based on the demonstration plot that was obtained that the fish which were given additional feed produced growth and efficiency of high catfish feed that for each of 6.7 g, 5.2 cm and 133.0%. Abstract

Permasalahan yang sering dialami oleh pembudidaya ikan termasuk yang dihadapi oleh kelompok pembudidaya ikan di desa Karang Endah adalah tingginya harga pakan komersil sehingga menyebabkan biaya poduksi semakin tinggi. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah mengevaluasi pemanfaatan limbah usus ayam sebagai bahan baku pakan ikan lele di desa Karang Endah, Kecamatan Gelumbang, Kabupaten Muara Enim, Sumatera Selatan. Metode yang digunakan melalui sosialisai dan diskusi serta tanya jawab, pelatihan praktek pembuatan pakan serta pendampingan demplot pemanfaatan limbah usus ayam sebagai bahan baku pakan ikan lele. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) yang dilakukan terlaksana dengan lancar. Pembudidaya dapat membuat pakan dengan memanfaatkan limbah usus ayam dan mengaplikasikan pakan dalam kegiatan budidaya ikan lele. The purpose of this activity is to evaluate the utilization of chicken intestine waste as raw material for catfish feed in Karang Endah village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. The method used is through socialization and discussion as well as questions and answers, training in the practice of making feed and assisting with the demonstration plot of utilizing chicken intestine waste as raw material for catfish feed. Community service activities (PKM) carried out smoothly. Cultivators can make feed by utilizing chicken intestine waste and applying feed in catfish farming activities. Abstract

Biofloc Technology (BFT) menjadi salah satu teknologi alternatif dalam akuakultur yang bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kualitas air dan meningkatkan efesiensi pemanfaatan nutrisi. Tujuan dari Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah untuk memperkenalkan dan memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat dan petani tentang budidaya ikan Lele dengan sistem bioflok. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Desa Pandan Arang, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir dengan menggunakan metode pemberdayaan partisipati aktif kelompok pembudidaya ikan pada mitra yang diajak kerjasama dengan transfer ilmu dan teknologi, meliput beberapa tahapan yaitu: 1) Persiapan; 2) Penyuluhan pembuatan pakan dan budidaya ikan; 3) Pembuatan demplot dan pendampingan; 4) Evaluasi dan pembuatan laporan hasil kegiatan. Hasil yang didapat bahwa kegiatan budidaya ikan lele dengan menerapkan sistem bioflok memberikan hasil dapat memperbaiki kualitas air pada budidaya ikan lele, terutama dalam menurunkan nilai ammonia dalam media budidaya. Serta memberikan pertumbuhan optimal pada ikan lele dengan bobot mutlak 8,4 gram/ekor dan pertumbuhan panjang mutlak 8,6 cm/ekor. Kata kunci: Biofloc Technology, Ikan Lele, Desa Pandan Arang, Budidaya Ikan ABSTRACT Biofloc Technology (BFT) is an alternative technology in aquaculture that aims to improve water quality and increase the efficiency of nutrient utilization. The purpose of this social dedication are to introduce and provide information to the public and farmers with biofloc system. This activity is carried out in Pandan Arang Village, Ogan Ilir District with an active participatory empowerment method for farmers fish in partners who are invited to collaborate with the transfer of knowledge and technology, covering several stages, 1) preparation; 2) counseling for feed and fish cultivation; creating demonstration plots and assistance; 4) evaluation and making reports on the results of activities. The results showed that catfish culture using the biofloc technology could improve water quality in catfish aquaculture, particularly in reducing the value of ammonia in the culture medium. Abstract

Abstrak: Penyebaran virus Covid-19 menyebabkan terjadinya pembatasan aktivitas masyarakat oleh pemerintah baik pusat maupun pemerintah daerah di berbagai wilayah di Indonesia termasuk di Desa Sakatiga. Pembatasan aktivitas masyarakat di Desa Sakatiga menyebabkan perubahan sosial ekonomi karena banyak masyarakat yang kehilangan pekerjaan sehingga mengalami kesulitan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pokok sehari-hari. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat dapat memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari berupa sumber protein hewani yaitu ikan dan sayuran melalui budidaya ikan dalam ember dan akuaponik. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan pada bulan November-Desember 2020 di Dusun I Desa Sakatiga, Kecamatan Indralaya, Ogan Ilir. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan antara lain tahap persiapan, tahap penyuluhan dan pelatihan, tahap pendampingan dan tahap monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan, bertambahnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang budidaya ikan dalam ember mulai dari pembuatan instalasi hingga panen ikan dan sayuran. Berdasarkan pendampingan pemeliharaan ikan dalam ember diperoleh bahwa pertumbuhan ikan lele yang dibudidayakan menghasilkan pertumbuhan panjang mutlak 3,53 cm, pertumbuhan bobot mutlak 7,86 g, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 4,41%/hari, jumlah konsumsi pakan 571 g, efisiensi pakan 71,86%, kelangsungan hidup 92,50%, serta tinggi kangkung 40 cm.Abstract:  The spread of the Covid-19 virus has caused restrictions on community activities by both the central and local governments in various regions in Indonesia, including in Sakatiga Village. The limitation of community activities in Sakatiga Village caused socio-economic changes because many people lost their jobs so that it was difficult to meet their basic daily needs. The purpose of this activity is that people can meet their daily needs in the form of animal protein sources, namely fish and vegetables through fish cultivation in buckets and aquaponics. Community service activities were carried out from November to December 2020 in Dusun I Sakatiga Village, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir. The service activities are carried out in several stages, including the preparation stage, the extension and training stage, the mentoring stage and the monitoring and evaluation stage. The results obtained from this activity were that the community was enthusiastic about participating in the activity, increased community knowledge about fish farming in buckets, starting from making installations to harvesting fish and vegetables. Based on fish maintenance, it was found that the growth of cultivated catfish resulted absolute length growth 3.53 cm, absolute weight growth 7.86 g, specific growth rate 4.41%/day, total feed consumption 571 g, feed efficiency 71.86%, survival rate 92.50%, and high of water spinach 40 cm.

Abstract

Abstract This time fish farmers often face constraints on the high price of commercial feed which results in low profits for the farmers. One solution to reduce artificial feed is periodic starvation. Starvation can reduce and increase feed efficiency while increasing production and fish can grow equally without fasting. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth and survival of periodically fasted tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in Bedeng Munir Village, South Pagar Alam. The method used in fish farming consisted of two treatments, that is P0: control and P1: fasting treatment (fish were given commercial feed for 4 days and fasted for 1 day). The parameters observed were absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, total feed consumption, feed efficiency, survival, and water quality. The results showed that the P1 treatment produced the highest absolute weight growth of 16.5 g, the highest absolute length growth was 1.35 cm, the lowest amount of feed consumption was 1540 g, the highest feed efficiency was 204.94%, the survival rate was 89. %,. While water quality in both the treatment is still in the range of tolerance for tilapia as temperature 21.4 to 24.2 0C and pH 7.6 to 8.1.KeywordsGrowth, tilapia, starvation, survival.

This study aims to develop Red Claw cultivation through an apartment system in a small area, to facilitate water quality control and increase the production of Red Claw. The writing method in this study uses the literature study method. The results of the study explain the comparison between the production of Red Claw using an apartment system and the cultivation of Red Claw using pond or aquarium. To produce as many as 20 Red Claw requires a pond with a size of 2m × 1m × 1m, while lobster cultivation using an apartment system only requires land measuring 1.5m × 0.17m × 0.79m. In addition, the cultivation of Red Claw with an apartment system can improve water quality for the better because it uses the RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System) system, which is the use of water repeatedly through several stages of filtration to break down ammonia. So that the study of Red Claw cultivation through this apartment system can be used as a solution to developing and increasing the production and production of Red Claw.

Eel cultivation is still not widely controlled because of many factors that influence it, especially water quality conditions. Nanobubble technology is a technology that can maintain water quality, especially to increase oxygen in water. This study aimed to increase the production of eel fish through the nanobubble technology system and to improve the community's economic system in the fisheries sector. The writing method in this study used the literature study method. The results of the study explained that nanobubble technology was able to produce nano-sized air bubbles (70–200 nm) and rich in oxygen so that it could increase dissolved oxygen levels to 9 mg/L. Dissolved oxygen was needed to increase oxidation so that the nitrification process could take place so that it could eliminate ammonia levels in the water. In addition, the high oxygen content could increase metabolism so that it could increase the growth of eel fish. Dissolved oxygen concentration of water was a key control of habitat quality and a critical measure of water health for eel survival Therefore, with the nanobubble technology, it is expected to increase the production of eel fish. Advice for the public could be used nanobubble technology in the process of eel fish farming so that the production obtained could be maximized.
