The low reading abilities and skills of children have become an important reason to improve reading literacy among children in Kampung Gunung Bakti Rt 04, Desa Cihanjawar. The low level of education in the community, dominated by graduates of elementary school, is one of the factors causing a lack of awareness among parents in providing guidance to their children about the importance of developing reading habits from an early age. Reading can be a support for achieving educational goals in Indonesia and should be made a routine daily activity. Reading literacy is a process that involves the ability to read, comprehend and analyze various information obtained to solve problems that arise in daily life with the aim of improving the quality of life. This community service aims to improve the reading literacy abilities and skills, with a focus on improving children's reading abilities. The service used a collaborative Participatory Action Research (PAR) design. The author collaborated with the managers of MI Al-Barokah and Rumah Belajar Muttaqin located in Kampung Gunung Bakti Rt 04, Desa Cihanjawar. The research results showed a 60% increase in children's reading abilities. The improvement of reading literacy skills requires support from all parties to further increase the success.

Abstract

The determination of the initial of the Qomariah month is still a difference, especially in determining the initial of Ramadhan, Syawwal, and Dzulhijjah. This can happen because there are differences in the method of determination. The method is in the form of Hisab method and Rukyat method. The purpose of community service activities is to determine the initial of the month of Qomariah based on MABIMS criteria (agreement of the Minister of Religion of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore on 27-29 June 2012 in Bali) and determine the initial of the month using computer software in the form of Accurate Hijri Calculator (AHC) ver. 2.2.1. The method used in this activity is lecture, practice, and discussion. Based on AHC software application ver. 2.2.1 shows that according to calculation 1 Ramadhan falls on Saturday April 2, 2022, but according to MABIMS criteria it falls on Sunday April 3, 2022. This is a possible difference in the start time of fasting in 2022 in Indonesia. However, for 1 Syawwal, both the calculation and the MABIMS criteria fall on the same day, Monday May 2, 2022, both in Indonesia and in other countries.

Abstract

Arabic has two dialects, namely Arabic Fusha and Arabic Ammiyah. Arabic Fusha is the language used in the Al-Quran, al-Hadith, and scientific writings. Arabic Fushahh has become an international language that was inaugurated on December 18, 1973, by UNESCO (United Nations Education, Scientific, and Cultural Organization). Arabic fusha (standard variety) is the language used in the Qur'an, official situations, composing poetry, writing prose, and expressions of thought (scientific writings). Arabic Fusha is also commonly used as the official language of instruction on campuses or Islamic Universities in the Middle East. Meanwhile, Arabic 'Ammiyah (non-standard variety) is a variety of languages used for ordinary daily affairs. In Arab countries stretching from the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean Sea, there are various dialects of 'Ammiyah (non-standard variety), each with different phonetics, vocabulary, and structure. The Arabic 'âmiyah is different from the Arabic fushâ. This difference occurs in phonetic aspects and choice of words. At the level of choice of words, for example, ثلاثة أسابي مدة إقامتي هنا (muddatu iqâmtî huna tsalâtsatu asâbî’: I’m here for three weeks). This sentence in the 'âmiyah of Egypt is expressed أنا هنا ثلاثة أسابي (ana hina talâtasâbi’), and in Gulf Arabic it is expressed مدة ثلاثة أسابي أنا هنا  (ana hina mudah tsalâtha asâbi’), whereas in Levantine Arabic it is expressed أنا هون لثلاثة أسابيع (ana hoon li talâti esâbi’). The lack of knowledge of students in Indonesia about the Ammiyah language has an impact on the need for training for students with the theme "Training to speak Ammiyah Egyptian Arabic at the Muhammadiyah Darul Arqam Islamic Boarding School, Depok. This activity is divided into three stages: first, introducing the rules in the Ammiyah language. Second, speak Arabic Ammiyah with the rules that have been taught to Muhammadiyah Darul Arqam Depok Islamic Boarding School Students. Third, training in writing Ammiyah rules with the rules that have been given. This training is useful for students of the Muhammadiyah Darul Arqam Islamic Boarding School, Depok, to prepare students to continue their studies in the Middle East.

This device will be connected via a short message to each person's cell phone, such as an SMS notification. In this training, two eBeacon Cards uses, which should be applicable in two rooms with a radius of 20 m. However, due to space limitations, both are installed in one room. So that the target information announcement target can receive data from both eBeacon cards with the same announcement display twice. Some of the outputs used in evaluating this training were that they understood the IoT process, how to install and create eBeacon, and could use it for other needs such as announcements, advertisements, etc.
