Abstract

As a visible phenomenon where online media is one of the many correspondence media that is often used by the public in general. Likewise, the use of online media such as YouTube to further develop listening skills where students cannot listen well in Indonesian lessons, especially on the theme of living things and plants, because the teachers use boring reading stories without using learning media. So the motivation behind this goal is to see the use of web-based media such as YouTube to further develop students' listening skills. This research uses quantitative methods with the type of pre-experimental research using pretest-posttest. With a sample and population of 22 individuals. Based on data analysis using a t-test with the paired sample t-test formula, t-test using SPPS version 25. From the results of the research data it is known that (Ho) is rejected and (Ha) is accepted with a significance of t-test of 0.00 which is <0.005. Then, at that time, there was an increase in listening skills by utilizing web-based media such as YouTube.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of assistant teachers for autistic children in grade VI at Theodore 1 Elementary School, Batu Ampar District, Batam City. Design of research was qualitative research. Research informants include accompanying teachers, homeroom teachers and parents of autistic children. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative analysis which included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Testing the validity of the data using triangulation. The results showed that the role of the assistant teacher included: (1) Coordinating and collaborating between and among education and education personnel, as well as the community. (2) Building a network with educational institutions. . (3) Develop academic instruments. (4) The accompanying teacher plays a role in drilling. (5) Develop a compesatory service program for students with special needs. (6) Implementing mentoring academic learning. (7) Providing special service assistance. (8) Special learning in the resource room for autistic children has not been implemented. (9) Implement compesatory services according to the special needs of students. (10) Provide continuous guidance. (11) Conduct case conferences. Thus, it is concluded that the accompanying teacher has carried out his role well to assist the autistic child.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketertarikan antara varaibel independen terhadap variabel dependen. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah  395. Sampel yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 189 responden dan menggunakan metode non probability sampling. Penelitian dilakukan pada sekolah Dasar Negeri yang ada di Kecamatan Sekupang. Alat pengumpul data menggunakan kuesioner dengan perolehan nilai menggunakan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian secara parsial yaitu variabel  budaya organisasi berpengaruh terhadap motivasi kerja guru. Variabel  komitmen organisai berpengaruh terhadap motivasi kerja guru. Variabel  gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh terhadap motivasi kerja guru. Untuk hasil uji secara simultan budaya organisasi, komitmen organisasi dan gaya kepemimpinan mempunyai pengaruh terhadap motivasi kerja guru. Koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,455 menunjukkan bahwa 45,5% motivasi kerja guru  dipengaruhi secara simultan oleh variabel budaya organisasi, komitmen organisasi, dan gaya kepemimpinan

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 berdampak terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran di Kampung Inggris Pare. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran teknologi pembelajaran di kampung Inggris pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi dan kemudian dianalisis melalui model analisis interaktif yang terdiri atas pengumpulan data, penyajian data, reduksi data  dan kesimpulan. Kredibilitas data diuji menggunakan teknik triangulasi metode dan sumber data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peran teknologi pembelajaran terdiri atas media pembelajaran, sumber belajar dan inovasi pembelajaran berkelanjutan. Pentingya peran teknolog pendidikan didukung oleh penguasaan kompetensi digital yang dimiliki oleh tutor – tutor di kampung Inggris Pare yang rata – rata berusia 25 tahun dan keseriusan lembaga – lembaga kursus untuk berinvestasi pada pembelajaran digital dengan menyediakan sarana dan prasarana yang dibutuhkan. Peluang kampung Inggris untuk memasuki era pendidikan 4.0 cukup besar, namun perlu memperhatikan beberapa tantangan di masa depan seperti, efektivitas, kualitas, dan kebermaknaan pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research is based on the problem of low student learning outcomes, during the transition from covid-19 to endemic, learning that is usually done is only teacher-centered because most learning is done online so that it affects the low learning outcomes of students, especially in learning the volume of cubes and blocks. This study aims to determine learning through the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach in learning the material for the volume of cubes and blocks in fifth grade elementary school. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of experimental research. The sample in this study was the fifth grade elementary school students, totaling 24 students consisting of 13 boys and 11 girls. Data was collected using observation sheets and tests (pretest and posttest). While the data processing is done by calculating the average value (x), S2 variance, standard deviation (S) and t test. The conclusion of the study shows that the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach cannot improve student learning outcomes on the material for the volume of cubes and blocks in fifth grade elementary school during the Covid-19 transition to endemic. Learning activities carried out by teachers and students obtained a percentage rate of 87% (very good), and student learning completeness in the volume of cubes and blocks only 6 students or 25% of students achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria

Abstract

This study aims to describe suspense, surprise, and moral values in the story “Cerita Tak Berujung” by Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid (2002). The data source of this research is "Cerita Tak Berujung” in the book "Mendidik dengan Cerita" by Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid (2002) with the original title Al-Qissah fi al-Tarbiyah. Data collection is carried out in the form of reviewing theories or relevant research results and developing theories in accordance with the aspects of the study. Data analysis was carried out in the form of content analysis following steps (1) reading/studying the story of "Cerita Tak Berujung" in detail, (2) determining the part of the text of the story that contains suspense and surprise referring to the results of theoretical studies and relevant research findings regarding these two things, (3 ) determine the moral values contained in the story which are stated implicitly refer to the theory of values in literary works, (4) describe the data from the analysis, and (5) draw conclusions from the results of the analysis. The results showed (1) the suspense of the story has begun to be woven by the author when choosing the diction for the title of the story and so it can be found at the beginning, middle, and towards the end of the story, (3) the strongest suspense is found near the end of the story, (4) surprise is found at the beginning of the story, in the middle of the story and like the suspense, the strongest surprise is found towards the end of the story, and (5) the dominant moral values found are honesty, respect for others, patience, and keeping promises.

Abstract

Bencana yang sering menimpa sebagian besar wilayah Indonesia menyadarkan kita akan pentingya kesiapsiagaan bencana. Kesiapsiagaan bencana haruslah dimiliki oleh setiap individu maupun masyarakat, tak terkecuali anak-anak. Khususnya anak usia sekolah dasar, sangatlah penting bagi mereka memiliki kesiapsiagaan dalam menghadapi ancaman bencana. Dongeng sebagai bagian dari sastra anak dapat di manfaatkan sebagai media penyampaian pesan-pesan kebencanaan kepada anak-anak, karena dongeng bisa membangun cara berpikir anak-anak, bahkan bisa mengubah prilaku mereka. Pengkajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana dongeng dapat dijadikan sebagai media untuk membangun kesiapsiagaan anak usia sekolah dasar menghadapi ancaman bencana. Penulisan artikel ini menggunakan metode deskriptif melalui studi kepustakaan. Dari pengkajian ini menunjukkan bahwa dongeng mampu meningkatkan daya serap informasi pembelajaran yang diberikan kepada anak sehingga dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran anak. Dengan demikian maka dongeng sangat layak di dijadikan sebagai media penyampaian pesan-pesan kebencanaan kepada anak usia sekolah dasar untuk membangun pengetahuan dan kesadaran mereka akan kesiapsiagaan bencana.

Abstract

The work carried out must be based on high work motivation and supported by balanced job satisfaction so that it has an impact on maximum work productivity. The aims of this study are 1) to determine the effect of work motivation on teacher work productivity; 2) to determine the effect of job satisfaction on teacher work productivity. The research method used is a quantitative method with questionnaires and documentation data collection techniques, while the data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS 23. Research findings are: 1) has a fairly significant effect of motivation on work productivity of 41.4 % > 5% which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So that the contribution of motivation to work productivity is quite influential; 2) has a significant effect of job satisfaction on work productivity of 70.05% > 5%, which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So that the contribution of satisfaction to work productivity has a good effect. The conclusion is that motivation and job satisfaction need to be increased in order to achieve high productivity from teachers at the Kefamenanu Catholic Vocational School.

Abstract

Since the future of the world is English, many countries now include English in their primary education curriculum, so language proficiency can be achieved more quickly and effectively. As two or more languages knowledge are competing linguistically in the brain, the early introduction to English means putting the other languages known by the Indonesian English language learners in a competition. On the other hand, despite its controversy, bilingualism and multilingualism, when achieved fully and proportionally, is cognitively and socially beneficial. This article reviews the potential effects of including English early in the Indonesian curriculum and the recommendation for the Indonesian’s future multilingual education and research. The discussion resulted in some important conclusions. Firstly, considering the Indonesian-English far typological distance, learning English requires some time and cognitive effort. For Indonesian bilinguals/multilingual, this means early introduction to English means higher confidence in producing the language verbally later on. During this early learning of English, the Indonesian language (and any other ethnic language that forms the speaker’s identity should also be used simultaneously to create the same purpose; a sense of belonging towards and confidence in using the language(s). In short, multilingualism that includes foreign language instruction; national and minority language use and maintainance,  should be enhanced and normalised from childhood.
