The Journal of Nonformal Education and Community Empowerment is published twice a year in June and December. This journal is published by the Department of nonformal Education Faculty of Education Semarang State University since 2012, in 2017 changed with the new ISSN and in collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Non-Formal Education Academics. Disclose research results on non-formal education focus areas covering topics, (1) Community Based Education: literacy, equity, courses, training, life skills, community counseling, community empowerment, social work; (2) Family-Based Education: parenting, early childhood education, play group, homeschooling.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the process, results, supporting and inhibiting factors of training in making accessories made from corncobs in developing an independent business in Diparcraft Kedung Halang Bogor. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the training process for making accessories made from corncobs in developing independent businesses through the process of problem identification, research objectives, determining the place and time, determining training methods, and implementing 30% theory learning and 70% practice. The results obtained from the training process were declared effective. Supporting factors include the ability of the tutor in implementation that can adapt to the needs of training participants, high motivation of participants in developing self-sufficiency businesses. The existing inhibiting factors are the insufficient facilities used in terms of quantity and quality, lack of training teaching materials, and the lack of tutors which are obstacles to its implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to skill to understand the implementation of the education automotive academic year 2019 / 2018 provided by social institution youth kabupaten indralaya ogan an ilir.Type used the quantitative research descriptive.Population were 14 people and entire population object sample taken to be research.Data collection method used in this research was survey methods, and observation.Research show that the implementation of education skill automotive seen from ten members, indicators learning instructors learning, of learning, learning methods, learning facilities, place learning, funds, learning study groups, a learning program and study results good criteria. they came from ten indicators it is still for facilities there is a shortage of learning that is a machine tool motor still less like a piston , a weaver shuttle ring , the crank shaft , and the not institution based on the learn to an apprentice dibengkel automotive in a society.

Abstract

This research aims to determine how the art preservation of the Ranau area is done by the Art Gallery of Duagha, judging by the aspects of nurturing, creation, and staging of art. This type of research is descriptive by using a qualitative approach. The subject of this study amounted to five people, consisting of one workshop builder, one workshop trainer, and three members of the workshop, as well as the data collection techniques on the study were observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research in the art gallery Duagha seen from the Four indicators: (1) The indicator of preserving the arts, art Gallery Duagha has been maintaining the art of Ranau area by means of maintaining its characteristic, dance motion, ornaments on clothing, and also a crossfire in music; (2) The indicator of creation, art gallery Duagha has been doing creations by creating new arts and creating new creations; (3) Art performance indicators, Duagha Art Gallery has done so, by participating art competitions and also art performances; (4) The indicator of art training implementation, Duagha Art workshop to conduct art training with the method of training of skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Peroses PembelajaranPengolahan Barang Bekas Di Sanggar Belajar Keluarga MahasiswaFKIP di Desa Sribanding yang meliputi tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaandan hasil. Jenis penelitian ini deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif.Subjek penelitian berjumlah 6 orang dengan 1 orang pengelola, 2 orangtutor, dan 3 orang warga belajar dari umur 7 sampai dengan 15 tahun.Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalahmetode wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitianmenunjukan bahwa proses pembelajaran dalam pengolahan barangbekas di bidang keterampilan bagi warga belajar ini bisa mendapatkaninformasi mengenai daur ulang barang bekas menjadi hasil karya yangindah dan dapat dijadikan sebagai peluang usaha. Bahwa warga belajaryang mengikuti kegiatan tersebut semuanya dapat mengikutipembelajaran dengan baik tanpa adanya kesulitan yang mereka hadapikarena materi dan bahan ajar yang diberikan sesuai dengan tujuanpembelajaran dan kemampuan mereka.

Abstract

COVID-19 is rapidly expanding and is becoming a global issue affecting all sectors of life. World Health Organization (WHO) has applied this virus as a global pandemic. Community participation is needed in the prevention of the virus. Bejiharjo Village participated in the prevention of covid-19 to create the Covid-19 Task Force. The purpose of this study was to determine: the stages and forms of community participation in the prevention of COVID 19 in Bejiharjo Village, Karangmojo, Gunungkidul. Qualitative research with case study methods. Collecting data using interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data used was the persistence technique of field observations, triangulation of sources and methods. Data analysis used an interactive model, namely data reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study are the stages of community participation starting from the process of planning, implementing, evaluating and utilizing the results.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to describe the problems of the community in the management of homestays, and knowing the community empowerment effortsthat can be done in developing homestays in Bejiharjo tourism village. This actionresearch was carried out on 20 homestay groups. This action research was carriedout using the model of diagnosis, planning, action implementation, andevaluation. Data and information were collected by interview technique, FGD,observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that theproblems that exist in homestay management include internal and externalproblems. Internal includes: lack of knowledge from homestay owners regardinghomestay management, homestay services and facilities that are still limited; andpromotions that have not been maximized. Externals includ: the absence ofhomestay groups in Gelaran II Bejiharjo, problems or complaints originatingfrom visitors, as well as the number of visitors staying at homestays every month.Empowerment efforts in homestay development are carried out through homestaymanagement training and sustainable tourism, the establishment of WiraHomestay organization, increasing homestay marketing through media websites,facebook, IG.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi program pelatihan keterampilan budidaya ititk petelur di Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat Nurul Fitri Kecamatan Cikedal Kabupaten Pandeglang. Metodologi dalam peneilitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, sample dari penelitian ini terdiri dari satu orang pengelola, satu orang tutor dan 5 warga belajar. Hasil dari penelitian ini dilihat dari aspek (1) Perencanaan Program langkah yang ditempuh dalam menyusun Perencanaan program pelatihan keterampilan budidaya itik petelur di Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) Nurul Fitri pertama menentukan tujuan, menentukan sasaran, menetukan waktu dan tempat, hasil diskusi panitia sebelum pelaksanaan program PKW, dan menetukan anggaran. (2) Pelaksaan Program pelatihan keterampilan budidaya itik petelur diawali dengan an perekrutan peserta pelatihan, merekrut istruktur, menyiapkan sarana dan prasarana dan proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran. (3) Evaluasi Program pelatihan keterampilan budidaya itik petelur di Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat PKBM Nurul Fitri pertama pada ranah kongnitif, ranah afektif dan ranah psikomotorik.

Abstract

This research aims to find out response of family and community members to existing businesses or activities, how to change the social behavior of familymembers and the community towards a business or existing activities. Thisresearch is a continuation of previous research where the results of the research arein the form of a social action model for tackling the waste problem. The socialaction in question is carried out through a community education process in theform of waste recycling training for the community of Way Huwi village.Through the training process, it is hoped that behavior changes will occur not onlyfrom an economic perspective but also from a social and environmentalperspective, so that the purpose of the training is achieved, namely a change inbehavior towards waste problems. This research was conducted through aqualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that there is a change inbehavior and a good assessment of the Way Huwi village community towardstackling household waste problems. The form of behavior change referred to isfrom being indifferent or disgusted by waste to caring and being able to carry outactivities to tackle the waste problem.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the ability of non-formal education tutors in implementing a reflective learning model. The quality teaching in non-formal education environment will be largely determined by the competence of tutor, one of which is mastery of reflective learning methods. Reflective action as an alternative teaching method is an important part for tutors to increase their professionalism. A total of twenty-five tutors were involved in the workshop on the application of reflective learning model, and then it was observed to what extent the tutor’s ability to plan, implement, and evaluate reflective activities in learning. Tutors were also interviewed to measure their understanding of reflective pedagogy. The data was collected from the informan were then analyzed using thematic analysis. The results showed that the tutors from PKBM Insan Madani and PKBM Abdi Pertiwi in Serang City, Banten, practiced reflective action in simple way, but did not understand the basic concepts of the reflective learning model. Tutors also understand the benefits of reflective action in classroom learning, both the benefits for the tutors themselves in order to increase the professionalism, as well as the benefits for students, namely to asses self-satisfaction in the learning process and outcomes.

Abstract

Thos Study aims to answer the practices of Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) in the Keluarga Harapan Group in Serang City, Banten Province. Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) or Learning From acting in a participatory manner. Learning and acting together or participatory action -reflection. Participatory learning and action (PLA) is an approach to the learning process and interacting with the community or society. In fact, this approach combines various participatory methods to facilitate collectivity and learning processes in the community. Whereas the participatory Learning and action (PLA) approach is closely related to the community empowerment process where the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) is one of the community empowerment programs. This Study used a qualitative approach by exploring data from PKH facilitators and recipients. The results of the research show that this implementation process involves a lot of community participation as a Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) step where it is the main point of implementing needs-based empowerment programs. So that PLA becomes an encouragement fo PKH recipients to behave protively, have a good quality of life and be able to optimize insights in the use of education or health.
