Abstract

This study describes the perceptions and motivations students of Department of Primary Education concerning about the teaching profession along with the knowledge and experience they gained in college. The implications of the results of this study can provide a spectrum going forward so that Department of Primary Education study program managers can sustainably develop teacher professional programs to strengthen the identity of students as teacher candidates. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. The method used in this study is a survey method using an open questionnaire. The subjects of this study were 36 students of Department of Primary Education, University to the students of PGSD S1 Campus V Makassar Negeri University City Pare – Pare in. The results showed all respondents stated that this profession is a noble profession, but they can switch to other jobs if income is more adequate. 83.33% of respondents said they were ready to become teachers while 16.67% said they were not ready to go into the field independently.

Abstract

This study aimed at producing Buginese–Makassarese culture-based-mathematics instructional packages of Grade X students of SMA which were valid, effective, and practical. The packages were Lesson Plan, Student Book, and Student Worksheet. This study was research and development. The utilized developmental model within this study was modification and adaptation of 4-D model (Thiagarajan, 1974), which consisted of four stages, namely: (1) define; (2) design; (3) develop; and (4) disseminate. In collecting data, it was used: (1) a validation sheet of instructional package, (2) an observation sheet, (3) students’ responses, and (4) learning achievement test. The data was then analyzed utilizing the descriptive analysis.The research results indicate that the average scores of student book and student worksheet validities are in very valid category. Lesson plan is in valid category. Analysis of the effectivity of instructional package shows that the average of overall student activities is in the tolerance interval of an ideal time percentage, and most activities used in learning are to bend on group presentation, to ask a question, or to provide an assistance. In addition, students responded positively to the implementation of the instructional package and the practice of Buginese–Makassarese culture-based-mathematics instructional model as 95.74%. Further, students are in high category, although on the observation process to the development of cultural values of Buginese–Makassarese, particularly siri’ and pacce/pesse values, some of them are still in the category of starting to appear, but this criteria must not be satisfied. The analysis of the practicality of the instructional package is in good category.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the learning outcomes of five-grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 55 Parepare who had not yet reached the predetermined minimum learning completeness standard (SKBM). The research approach used is a qualitative approach and the type of research used is classroom action research. Based on the data obtained, the research results in the first cycle showed the learning process increased to good qualification (B) and the learning test results were in sufficient qualification (C) while in the second cycle the research results on the learning process increased to good qualification (B) and the learning test results are in good qualification (B). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the snowball throwing type of cooperative learning model can improve the learning process and student learning outcomes about human and environment in the five-grade of UPTD SD Negeri 55 Parepare.

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research with the aim of knowing the application of games based learning methods and to increase learning interest in fourth grade students of SD Telkom Makassar. The focus of this research is the application of games based learning method to increase students' interest in learning. The subjects of this study were the fourth grade students of SD Telkom Makassar, totaling 13 people in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Data collection techniques used in this study are questionnaires, observation sheets and documentation. The results showed that in the first cycle the teacher's teaching activities were in the good category and in the second cycle had increased to a very good category. In line with this, the fourth grade students' interest in learning also increased, in the first cycle it was in the good category and in the second cycle it increased to very good. From the results, it can be concluded that the application of games based learning methods to increase interest in learning in fourth grade students at SD Telkom Makassar has been successful.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the pedagogic competence of teachers in implementing blended learning-based learning in elementary schools. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method, with preparatory steps, field work, and data analysis. The data sources were all 24 teachers of SDN 001 Salo, consisting of 3 male teachers and 21 female teachers. The data collection technique used is teacher pedagogic competency analysis and observation. The research instrument used was the teacher's pedagogic analysis sheet and the observation sheet for the implementation of blended learning-based learning. The data analysis technique was carried out using qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that the teacher's pedagogic competence seen from the teaching experience was at a good level. The teacher's pedagogic competence in implementing blended learning-based learning is at a good level. The conclusion of this study is that the teacher's pedagogic competence in implementing blended learning-based learning is at a good level. Elementary school teachers need continuous training and mentoring in order to maintain and improve their pedagogical competence.

Abstract

The research aimed to develop a traditional game-based leadership character education manual for 10-12 year olds. This research involved 10 teachers from various regions, 10 validators, and 8 children aged 10-12 years. The results of the study showed that 1) the character education handbook was developed using the ADDIE stages; 2) The quality of the manual showed a score of 3.90 (scale 1-4) in the category "Very good" and "no need for revision"; 3) The guidebook had an effect on the character of leadership. The mean score at the end (M = 3.7625, SE = 0.6797) was higher than the mean score at the beginning (M = 2.0500, SE = 0.8660). Significance test t (7) = 14.616; p < 0.05. The level of influence in the "big effect" category, namely r = 0.98, meant that the guidebook could explain 96.83% of the variance changes in leadership character. The effectiveness level of the N-gain score was in the "High" category or 87.82%.

Abstract

The research aims to improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students on the theme 7 The Beauty of Diversity in My Country, aspects of knowledge and skills aspects of learning Indonesian language and social studies at SDN 04 Hadipolo. This research uses Classroom Action Research method. The subjects used in this study were the fourth grade students of SDN 04 Hadipolo, totaling twenty five students. This research consists of two cycles. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, tests, and documentation. Data analysis in the form of qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The learning outcomes of students knowledge aspects of Indonesian language learning content increased quite significantly from cycle I (56%) to cycle II (84%). The improvement of student skill aspect learning outcomes in the first cycle (40%) to the second cycle to (76%). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of Congklak media with the help of the unlucky card can improve student learning outcomes of fourth graders at SDN 04 Hadipolo.

Abstract

. This research is motivated by the low creative thinking ability of fifth grade students at SDN 024 Limau Manis. The subject of this researchis the fifth grade studenst of SDN 024 Limau Manis, totaling 9 students with 6 male students and 3 famale students. The results of this study can be concluded that the creative thinking ability of fifth grade students at SDN 024 Limau Manis has increased in each cycle. Whre the percentage results in cycle I meeting I reached (44%) and in cycle I meeting II increased to (55%) while in cycle II meeting I it reached (66%) and in cycle II meeting II it increased to (88%). Thus it can be concluded that using the Treffinger model can improve students creative thinking skills in class fifth grade students at SDN 024 Limau Manis.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of student motivation and understanding of concepts on learning FPB and KPK using the development of animated video media based on the Canva application at SDN Kedaung Kaliangke 10 in early June. The research method used is ADDIE. Media development was validated by 2 media experts, namely lecturers and 1 material expert, namely homeroom teacher. Data collection techniques in the form of validation sheets, questionnaires, pretest and posttest. Expert validation data analysis using a Likert scale. Meanwhile, the data analysis of learning motivation and understanding of concepts used the N-Gain test. The results of media validation with a percentage of 87.34% have a very valid predicate and the results of material expert validation with a percentage of 92.23% which state that the media is feasible to use. Students' learning motivation increased by having a score of 0.35 while students' understanding of mathematical concepts increased by having a score of 0.79. The result of the research is that animated video media using the Canva application is very feasible to use and can increase students' learning motivation and understanding of concepts.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the low learning outcomes in fourth grade students. The problem in this research is how the process of applying the make a match type of cooperative learning models in the students learning process on social studies content about economic activites in class IV UPT SD Negeri 4 Pinrang distric and wheather the application of the make a match type of cooperative learning model can improve students learning outcomes in social studies content on economic activities in class IV UPT SD Negeri 4 Pinrang Distric. Cycles I the research result on the learning process were in good qualification and the learning test result were in sufficient qualification. In the second cyclesthe research result on the learning process were in good qualification and the learning test result were in good qualification.
