Abstract

Based on observations conducted at the Muhammadiyah Kepong Guidance Center, Malaysia. One of the causes of the problems faced is learning media that is less interesting and interactive. Many teachers still use traditional approaches that make students feel bored and less motivated, and have a negative view of mathematics subjects that are claimed to be difficult and confusing. The objectives of this study are 1) to analyze the effect of the counting funnel media used in students' numeracy skills. 2) to evaluate the improvement of mathematical numeracy skills in the multiplication material of grade III students at the Muhammadiyah Kepong Guidance Center, Malaysia. The results of the analysis show that the sig value (2-tailed) is 0.000, which means it is less than 0.05. Thus, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. These results indicate that the counting funnel media has a significant positive impact on improving students' numeracy skills, especially in multiplication material. The findings of this study confirm that the use of the counting funnel media has an effect on students' numeracy skills in grade III of the Muhammadiyah Kepong Guidance Center, Malaysia, thus indicating that the use of this media is very effective in improving students' numeracy skills.

Abstract

Interview results revealed that the learning participation of grade III students was low caused by a lack of learning media that was less interesting, causing students to quickly feel bored and less involved in learning, especially flat material. The limited variety of learning media made it difficult for students to understand the concepts in depth, resulting in their low activity levels in learning. The aim of this research is to evaluate how effective the use of bulletin board media is in enhancing active participation among third-grade students in learning about flat shapes. The research sample consisted of 10 students, and the method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was conducted in 2 cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, application, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through interviews and tests to measure the level of student activity before and after the use of bulletin board media. The results indicated that the use of bulletin board media in teaching flat shapes significantly increased student engagement. The percentage of student activity rose from 65% in the first cycle to 87.5% in the second cycle. Thus, bulletin board media proved to be effective in enhancing active student participation and helping them better understand the concepts of flat shapes.

Abstract

This study examines the optimization of policies and bullying prevention programs in two junior high schools in South Tangerang City through a civic education approach. This research employs a qualitative case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), and document analysis of school policies. Interviews were conducted with Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers at SMPN 18 Tangsel and SMP Islam At-Taqwa Pamulang. NVivo 12 software was used to analyze bullying patterns and evaluate the effectiveness of prevention policies. The findings reveal that bullying predominantly occurs in verbal and social forms, mainly targeting groups perceived as different in academic, economic, or social aspects. Case identification is conducted through student reports, direct observation, and group discussions, while intervention involves individual counseling and discussions with homeroom teachers and parents. School policies, such as disciplinary regulations, the Special Handling Team (TTPK), and routine socialization programs, serve as the foundation for bullying prevention strategies. Although there has been a decrease in bullying incidents, challenges persist, particularly in the low reporting rate among students. Thus, this study recommends enhanced teacher training, the integration of civic education into the curriculum, and improved communication among school stakeholders to create a safer, more inclusive, and supportive school environment.

Abstract

Climate change is a global issue that has a significant impact on the agricultural sector, including tobacco commodities in Bojonegoro Regency as the main producer of Virginia tobacco in East Java. This study aims to analyze the relationship between climate change risks and the resilience index of tobacco farmers, with a focus on identifying risk forms, measuring resilience based on five capitals (natural, human, physical, financial, social), and the dominant factors that influence resilience. The research method uses a quantitative explanatory approach through a questionnaire to 436 tobacco farmers in five production center districts (Kepohbaru, Baureno, Kedungadem, Sumberrejo, Kanor), selected by stratified random sampling. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) and mediation tests. The results of the study indicate: climate change risks (managed with the SHARP/FAO approach) have a significant effect on farmer resilience; Productive factors (business efficiency), resilience (ability to survive), and human (adaptive capacity) are positively related to resilience; Social factors (networks, community support) have a negative relationship, indicating that weak social networks have the potential to reduce resilience. Adaptive factors have no direct effect, but are significant through mediation of adaptation strategies and access to information. This study found that increasing tobacco farmer resilience requires structured interventions that address access to climate information, adaptation training, and strengthening human capital and productivity. Policy implications include the development of a climate early warning system, business diversification, and farmer group-based mentoring to reduce social vulnerability.

Abstract

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is an ongoing global humanitarian crisis that demands a moral response from the Muslim community, including from local religious institutions. This article examines the implementation of Qur'anic values in responding to Israeli aggression against Palestine, focusing on the interpretation and actions of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Medan City. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with MUI scholars of Medan City and document analysis of tafsir and MUI Fatwa No. 83 of 2023. The findings show that the values of war ethics, universal justice, and ukhuwah Islamiyah-contained in QS Al-Baqarah [2]: 190, QS Al-Mumtahanah [60]: 8, and QS Al-Hujurat [49]: 10-is made the normative basis by MUI in formulating attitudes and concrete actions. The implementation of the fatwa in the form of public education, boycott campaigns, moral diplomacy, and donation raising confirms that local Islamic interpretations have a concrete driving force in shaping the solidarity of the ummah. This study emphasizes the importance of the role of regional ulemas in translating the teachings of the Qur'an into contextual and transformative social responses

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has had a significant impact on parenting patterns within families. This study aims to identify the parenting challenges faced by parents in the digital age and explore their expectations regarding digital literacy training. The study employs a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey technique targeting 67 parents at a preschool institution participating in digital literacy activities. Data was collected through a questionnaire containing closed and open-ended questions. The results of the study indicate that most parents face challenges in accompanying children who use gadgets too frequently, as well as difficulties in fostering discipline, responsibility, and emotional management in children. As many as 55.2% of respondents admitted they had never received clear digital literacy materials. Parents' expectations for digital literacy training encompass five main themes: increasing knowledge and understanding (40.7%), obtaining concrete solutions and strategies (20.3%), positive changes in children (13.6%), strengthening the role of parents (10.2%), and personal transformation (15.3%). These findings highlight the urgency of strengthening family-based digital literacy, so that parents can wisely and effectively guide their children in navigating the challenges of the digital world.
