Abstract

English: This study aims to reduce bullying behavior in early childhood through empathy training-based interventions using symbolic modeling techniques. The subject of the study is a 5-year-old boy with the initials RA from RA Al-Muslim Kota Baubau. The method used is an experiment with a single-subject design (Single Subject Research, SSR) and an A-B-A design. Data was collected through observation using a behavior monitoring instrument that recorded the frequency of RA's bullying behavior during the intervention. Visual analysis was conducted to compare the observation results in three conditions: Baseline A1 (before the intervention), Baseline B (during the intervention), and Baseline A2 (after the intervention). The results showed a significant decrease in bullying frequency from a very high category in Baseline A1 (average 14.6) to medium in Baseline B (average 6.2), and low in Baseline A2 (average 2.2). The intervention used short animated films teaching empathy, proving to be effective. Schools can integrate empathy training programs as a preventive and rehabilitative effort against bullying. Indonesia: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengurangi perilaku bullying pada anak usia dini melalui intervensi berbasis latihan empati dengan teknik modeling simbolik. Subjek penelitian adalah anak laki-laki berusia 5 tahun berinisial RA dari RA Al-Muslim Kota Baubau. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain subyek tunggal (Single Subject Research, SSR) dan desain A-B-A. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dengan instrumen monitor perilaku yang mencatat frekuensi bullying RA selama intervensi. Analisis visual dilakukan untuk membandingkan hasil observasi dalam tiga kondisi: Baseline A1 (sebelum intervensi), Baseline B (selama intervensi), dan Baseline A2 (setelah intervensi). Hasil menunjukkan penurunan signifikan dalam frekuensi bullying dari kategori sangat tinggi pada Baseline A1 (rata-rata 14,6) menjadi sedang pada Baseline B (rata-rata 6,2), dan rendah pada Baseline A2 (rata-rata 2,2). Intervensi menggunakan film animasi pendek yang mengajarkan empati terbukti efektif. Sekolah dapat mengintegrasikan program latihan empati sebagai upaya preventif dan rehabilitatif terhadap bullying.

Abstract

English: Assertive behavior is a person's ability to communicate in an equal relationship through feelings, opinions, thoughts and ideas directly, openly, without feelings of anxiety, being firm in rejecting requests that are unclear while still respecting the rights of others and being able to communicate with everyone. People without hurting their feelings. This background was carried out by the author because there was low assertive behavior in students. The aim of the research is for researchers to determine the level of assertive behavior in class XI students at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. This research takes a quantitative approach using the scale method. In this study, we used a probability sampling strategy based on simple random sampling to select 138 class XI students. Research on the level of assertive behavior of class XI students at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang showed an average of 58% of These students are in the medium category, while 19% are in the low category and 24% are in the high category. Indonesia: Perilaku asertivitas merupakan suatu kemampuan seseorang berkomunikasi dalam hubungan yang setara melalui perasaan, pendapat, pemikiran serta gagasan secara langsung, terbuka, tanpa perasaan cemas, bersikap tegas dalam menolak permintaan yang sekiranya tidak jelas dengan tetap menghargai hak-hak orang lain serta dapat berkomunikasi dengan semua orang tanpa menyakiti perasaanya. Latar belakang ini di lakukan penulis dikarenakan terdapat perilaku asertivitas yang rendah pada siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu agar peneliti mengetahui tingkat perilaku asertivitas pada siswa kelas XI di SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. Penelitian ini mengambil pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode skala. Dalam penelitian ini, kami menggunakan strategi pengambilan sampel probabilitas berdasarkan simple random sampling untuk memilih 142 siswa kelas XI. Penelitian mengenai tingkat perilaku asertif siswa kelas XI di SMK Negeri 7 Semarang menunjukkan rata-rata 58% siswa tersebut masuk dalam kategori sedang, sedangkan 19% berada pada kategori rendah dan 24% berada pada kategori tinggi.

Abstract

English: The phenomenon of educational equity has facilitated educational mobility across regional boundaries, it makes many students choosing to study at educational institutions in other regions. However, this experience is often followed by unique psychological challenges. Self-concept plays a role in determining an individual's mental/psychological development. Self-concept is also a better predictor of future-oriented motivation for career aspirations in science. This study aims to explain the description of the self-concept of overseas students in the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at Yogyakarta State University. The research design used in this study is to use descriptive quantitative methods. The variable is self-concept. The subjects of this study were active students who were overseas students in the Guidance and Counseling Study Program of FIPP UNY. The data collection instrument used the Tennessee Self Concept Scale (TSCS) translated by Sri Rahayu Partosuwido, et al. The scale that has been translated are valid and reliable. Indonesia: Fenomena pemerataan pendidikan telah memfasilitasi mobilitas pendidikan lintas batas daerah, yang menyebabkan semakin banyak mahasiswa memilih untuk belajar di institusi pendidikan di daerah lain. Namun, pengalaman ini seringkali diikuti oleh tantangan psikologis yang unik. Konsep diri memiliki peran penting dalam menentukan perkembangan mental/psikologis individu. Konsep diri juga merupakan prediktor yang lebih baik dari motivasi yang berorientasi masa depan untuk cita-cita karir dalam ilmu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan gambaran konsep diri mahasiswa perantauan di Prodi Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah konsep diri. Subjek dari penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa aktif yang merupakan mahasiswa perantauan di Prodi BK FIPP UNY. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan skala Tennessee Self Concept Scale (TSCS) terjemahan Sri Rahayu Partosuwido, dkk. yang telah dilakukan oleh sri rahayu Partosuwindo, dkk, skala yang telah diterjemahkan semua butir item valid dan reliabel.

Abstract

English: The purpose of this study is to provide information on the form of guidance and counseling services through the Sundanese pop song "JANG" as a medium for individual or personal guidance in order to live life and life in the present and future. The research instrument is in the form of song lyrics and comments from the public who listen, while the analysis of the results is seen from the meaning of the song which is described through the relationship with guidance and counseling services and the content of comments from song listeners via the YouTube channel. The results of this research study concluded that the Sundanese pop song "Jang" is very significant to be used as advice for students, college students, and the community as a reference in carrying out daily life. The implications of this research can be used to provide personal strengthening of learners, students, and society in living life and daily life for and materials for providing guidance and counseling services for teachers and lecturers. Indonesia: Tujuan penelitian ini ingin menginformasikan bentuk layanan bimbingan dan konseling malalui lagu pop sunda “JANG” sebagai media bimbingan individu atau pribadi guna menjalani hidup dan kehidupan masa kini dan mendatang. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa lirik lagu dan komentar dari masyarakat yang mendengarkan sedangkan analisis hasil di lihat dari pengertian lagu yang didiskripsikan melalui keterkaitan dengan layanan bimbingan dan konseling serta isi komentar para pendengar lagu melalui chanel youtube. Hasil kajian penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa lagu pop sunda “Jang” sangat signifikan untuk dijadikan sebagai nasihat bagi para peserta didik, mahasiswa, dan masyarakat sebagai acuan dalam menjalankan kehidupan sehari-hari. Implikasi dari penelitian ini dapat dijadikan untuk memberikan penguatan pribadi peserta didik, mahasiswa, dan masyarakat dalam menjalani hidup dan kehidupan sehari-hari bagi  dan bahan memberikan layanan bimbingan dan konseling Guru dan Dosen

Abstract

English: Student well-being has an important role in optimizing students in achievement. However, students tend to have low student well-being due to a lot of academic pressure. This study aims to determine how much effect academic stress has on student well-being in senior high school students. Quantitative research using an inductive approach with the type of causality research on 219 students. Educational Stress Scale of Adolescents (ESSA) and Student Subjective Well-Being Questionnaire (SSWQ) were used as data collection tools. The results showed that there was no effect of academic stress on student well-being. Overall, most students have a moderate level of academic stress and student well-being. From the results of this study, the researchers suggest for future researchers to examine other factors that can affect student well-being besides academic stress, such as motivation, coping strategies, social support, forgiveness, self-esteem. Indonesia:Student well-being berperan penting untuk mengoptimalisasikan diri siswa dalam mencapai prestasi. Namun, siswa cenderung memiliki student well-being yang rendah disebabkan banyaknya tekanan akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji seberapa besar pengaruh stres akademik terhadap student well-being pada siswa SMA. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian kausalitas terhadap 219 siswa SMA. Educational Stress Scale of Adolescents (ESSA) dan Student Subjective Well-Being Questionnaire (SSWQ) digunakan sebagai alat pengambilan data. Secara keseluruhan, sebagian besar siswa memiliki tingkat stres akademik dan memiliki tingkat student well-being pada kategori sedang. Hanya satu aspek pada variabel stres akademik yang mampu memprediksi tingkat student well-being pada siswa, yaitu pada aspek worry about grades yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan. Dari hasil penelitian ini peneliti menyarankan untuk peneliti selanjutnya untuk meneliti faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi student well-being selain stres akademik, seperti motivasi, strategi coping, dukungan sosial, forgiveness, self-esteem.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of self-management techniques in reducing nomophobic behavior in vocational students. The research method used Single Subject Research (SSR) design with an A-B-A model. This research was conducted in 2024; the research subjects were students who experienced high levels of nomophobia. Data were collected through direct observation of smartphone use behavior, with visual analysis of changes during the baseline phase, intervention, and after the intervention was stopped. The results showed a significant decrease in the subject's level of nomophobia during the intervention phase and stability of behavior change after the intervention was completed. In conclusion, the study found that self-management techniques can be effectively implemented in intervention programs to reduce smartphone dependence, especially among adolescents. The contribution of this study is to provide practical guidance for teachers, school counselors, or other educational personnel in helping students who experience nomophobia through self-management techniques.

Abstract

Some students have low self-confidence and have a negative self-concept. The study aimed to determine the relationship between self-concept and self-confidence of second-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Salem. This research was conducted in 2024. This study uses a correlational method with a descriptive correlational design. The results showed a relationship between self-concept and students' self-confidence. The degree of relationship between the self-concept variable and the self-confidence variable is correlated with a strong category in a positive form. This study's conclusion reveals a positive and significant relationship between self-concept and self-confidence of second-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Salem. The higher the self-concept variable, the higher the self-confidence variable. The study strengthens the theory, stating that self-concept plays an important role in shaping students' self-confidence. The results can be a reference in developing theories related to adolescent developmental psychology.

Abstract

Good learning motivation will affect student success and achievement at school. Learning motivation is the power and drive that directs students to perform their academic responsibilities. This study was conducted to determine the learning motivation profile of students with Minang ethnic background. This study used a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The sample in this study consisted of 99 high school students who were taken by purposive sampling. The special criteria are students with Minang ethnic background. Data was collected using a learning motivation scale with a Likert model and tested for validity and reliability. The results concluded that the learning motivation profile of students with Minang ethnic background is moderate. This outlines that Minangkabau culture has a fairly good influence on student learning motivation, where, based on the data description results, no students have low learning motivation. The implication of this research is as a reference for guidance and counseling teachers regarding the importance of paying attention to the condition of student learning motivation at school. PayingIt should be done by looking at the background and characteristics of each student.

Abstract

The state of students who are bored and stressed is included in an unstable psychological condition. This psychological condition can affect the success of the learning process. One of the techniques that can be used by guidance and counseling teachers related to academic stress problems is the mandala expressive art therapy technique. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of mandala expressive art therapy techniques in group counseling to reduce the academic stress of junior high school students. This study used a one-group pre-test and post-test design, adapted from the Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents (ESSA) scale. The subjects of this study were six second-grade students of SMP Negeri 26 Surabaya. The data analysis technique used was the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Based on the results of the output test statistics, it can be seen that the Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) value is 0.027, which is smaller than 0.05. So Ha is accepted, and Ho is rejected, which means that the mandala expressive art therapy technique in group counseling effectively reduces the academic stress of junior high school students. This research contributes as a reference for guidance and counseling teachers in designing art-based intervention programs to help students who experience academic stress.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of video media in providing information that can influence learners' career decisions, which in turn can improve their understanding of the world of work and guide them toward more appropriate and realistic career choices. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 34 Semarang in 2023. This research used a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design model. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire of students' career choices, and data analysis was done using descriptive statistics. The analysis showed that the F-count value was 5.333 with a significance level of 0.036 <0.05, so information services with video media affected the career selection of third-grade students at SMP Negeri 34 Semarang. The study's conclusion reveals that information services with video media affect the career selection of third-grade students at SMP Negeri 34 Semarang. The research contributes to the field of guidance and counseling, especially regarding the use of video media as an effective information tool in helping students understand career choices.
