Abstract

An aging society has caused several health and social problems in Japan. Therefore, in order to overcome the current problems and to prevent future problems, Japan has embarked on a human-centered transformation, namely Society 5.0 which is experienced not only domestically but also worldwide. This change requires everyone, especially the younger generation to prepare themselves to survive and even lead it. There is a set of skills that must be mastered by students to achieve these goals, namely communication, leadership, reading comprehension, and curiosity. This paper aims to describe methods for developing these skills in elementary school students. The conclusion states that some of the methods actually complement each other, meaning that they can be applied interchangeably in a school setting.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an overview of learning difficulties. This research was conducted in third class of SDN 2 Cintaraja. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique was carried out in two ways, namely by giving story questions and interviews. The story questions used in this study were three questions which refer to four characteristics of student learning difficulties according to Jamaris in 2014 (weakness in counting, difficulty in transferring knowledge, understanding of mathematical language, difficulty in visual operations) regarding the multiplication. The results showed that there were still many students who had learning difficulties in this multiplication material, of the six students who were sampled all of them were only able to master one characteristic of the four characteristics of learning difficulties, namely in terms of understanding the language of mathematics, while the other three learning difficulties had not able to be mastered by them, namely in terms of calculating weaknesses, difficulties in transferring data, and difficulties in visual operations of the multiplication material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the positive effect of the use of real media in learning Mathematics on the material for the division of class II Elementary School. Based on previous research, solving distribution problems is done by using stacking methods with lectures without using teaching aids, so this article discusses alternative methods of solving division problems using the media, namely Glass Division. This type of research is a literature study, using secondary data in the form of relevant journals and books. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by conducting an assessment of the advantages and disadvantages and comparing it with the usual method (compiling with lectures). The results showed that solving the distribution problem using the media was easier to understand and attracted the attention of students. The disadvantage of using this media is that it must be fixed on a counting tool, namely the Division Glass so that children do not think abstractly. It is recommended that teachers apply this alternative media in the classroom, especially for students who do not understand the problem of dividing numbers.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in understanding Mathematics material about explaining line segments through video media. The researcher chose the classroom action research method because of the problem found to be related to the learning process in the classroom, namely low results Cognitive learning mathematics lessons explain the segment lines of space in class II SD Negeri 2 Somagede. The process of action carried out in this study attempted so that the problem can be resolved. The results showed: it can be concluded that the completeness of student learning in cycle I was 43% with an average value of 73 and in cycle II was 94% with an average value of 90 From the data above clearly shows that in cycle I learning outcomes are not in accordance expectation which means that the indicators of success have not been achieved while in cycle II the learning outcomes are in accordance with expectations which means that the indicators of success have been achieved.

Abstract

Teaching material is a collection of material and images compiled by the teacher. Learning mathematics in elementary school (SD) really needs to provide content between mathematics in the daily world of students based on local culture with school mathematics. One of the innovative mathematics learning in elementary school can be done by linking the material with culture or ethnomatematics. Ethnomatematics-based teaching materials in elementary schools can be defined as a collection of special elementary materials compiled by teachers in facilitating the process of learning mathematics in class related to culture, either in the form or form that is often encountered by students. The advantages of teaching materials consist of: 1) Study From Anywhere, Anytime; 2) No Commuting; 3) Flexibility to Choose. While the shortcomings of teaching materials consist of: 1) High Chances of Distraction in the Class; 2) No Social Interaction; 3) Takes A Lot of Time and Money. The research method used is the Library Study (Library Research). The data analysis technique used in this study is the Content Analysis method.

Abstract

Persentase ketuntasan mengalami peningkatan 35%.

Abstract

A teacher always conditions learning that demands student activity in carrying out learning activities. some of the efforts that teachers can do in developing student learning activities are to increase student interest, generate student motivation, and use media or methods that can encourage students to interact with each other in learning. One example of an effort that can be done is the use of a cooperative learning model that has an orientation on student activity in the learning process and an orientation on student social development or student collaboration in groups. This study aims to improve the quality of the learning process in increasing student activity and achievement through cooperative learning of jigsaw techniques. This research can be said to be successful if there is an increase in student learning outcomes in accordance with the specified minimum level, which is 75% of the number of students participating in the learning process to achieve the KKM score. The results showed that using the Jigsaw method in learning for elementary school students, especially high grades, could increase student activity and learning outcomes from low to good categories.
