Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tantangan dan solusi dalam implementasi manajemen pendidikan madrasah di era modern dengan fokus pada peningkatan mutu pembelajaran dan penguatan karakter peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi pustaka terhadap berbagai literatur yang relevan, baik berupa jurnal ilmiah maupun buku akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen pendidikan madrasah memiliki peran sentral dalam menjaga keseimbangan antara pelestarian nilai-nilai Islam dan adaptasi terhadap kemajuan teknologi serta perubahan sosial. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi mencakup keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, kesenjangan teknologi, perubahan kebijakan, dan rendahnya kolaborasi dengan masyarakat. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, diperlukan strategi manajerial yang inovatif seperti pelatihan guru berkelanjutan, digitalisasi sistem pembelajaran, pengembangan kurikulum adaptif, dan penguatan kemitraan antar pemangku kepentingan. Dengan penerapan manajemen yang efektif, madrasah dapat menjadi lembaga pendidikan Islam yang unggul, relevan, serta mampu membentuk generasi yang berkarakter, berpengetahuan, dan berdaya saing global.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the transformational leadership model of Kiai based on Islamic psychology in enhancing teachers’ performance at Sunan Drajat Islamic Boarding School. The leadership of Kiai has unique characteristics that emphasize not only administrative aspects but also spiritual, moral, and psychological dimensions. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving Kiai, teachers, and school administrators. Data analysis was conducted using data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that the transformational leadership model of Kiai in Sunan Drajat Islamic Boarding School is manifested through four key dimensions: exemplary character (idealized influence), spiritual motivation (inspirational motivation), Islamic value-based intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration grounded in akhlaq (moral conduct). The integration of Islamic psychological values such as sincerity (ikhlas), patience (sabr), trustworthiness (amanah), and reliance on God (tawakkul) forms the emotional bond between Kiai and teachers. This model effectively enhances teachers’ performance by improving intrinsic motivation, loyalty, and psychological well-being. The study recommends the implementation of Islamic psychology-based leadership training for educational leaders in Islamic institutions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi manajemen hubungan masyarakat (humas) di MTs Terpadu Berkah Palangka Raya dalam membangun citra positif madrasah melalui tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan terdiri dari kepala madrasah, koordinator humas, serta guru yang terlibat dalam kegiatan kehumasan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana melalui tahap kondensasi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diuji menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan humas diintegrasikan dengan dokumen RKT dan RKJM madrasah. Pelaksanaan humas dilakukan melalui publikasi kegiatan, promosi digital, dan komunikasi langsung dengan masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan berbagai platform seperti Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook, dan website. Pengawasan dilakukan secara rutin melalui monitoring kepala madrasah, rapat evaluasi internal, serta penggunaan indikator sederhana seperti respon masyarakat, ketepatan publikasi, dan jumlah pendaftar siswa baru. Meskipun masih menghadapi keterbatasan SDM dan sarana, strategi humas yang dijalankan mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap madrasah. Penelitian ini menghadirkan gambaran strategi manajemen humas madrasah yang dijalankan secara terpadu dan fleksibel pada lembaga pendidikan Islam yang berbasis sosial, serta menyoroti dinamika keterbatasan dan upaya adaptasi dalam membangun citra positif di era digital.

Abstract

This paper explores the intricate relationship between positivism, pedagogical assessment, and teacher performance within the contemporary Indonesian educational landscape. Drawing upon a deep philosophical analysis of positivism, from its foundational tenets by Auguste Comte to its modern interpretations and critiques, this study integrates empirical evidence from Indonesia to provide a comprehensive understanding. The article delves into how positivistic approaches have shaped pedagogical assessment methodologies, influencing the evaluation of teacher performance in Indonesia. Furthermore, it examines the implications of these approaches for fostering Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) among students, considering the unique cultural and educational context of Indonesia, including the influence of Pancasila and local values. Through a synthesis of theoretical frameworks and empirical findings, this paper aims to offer insights into optimizing teacher performance assessment to promote a more holistic and effective educational system in Indonesia. Visual elements, including a diagram illustrating the conceptual framework, a relevant image depicting an Indonesian classroom, and a comparative table of positivism and post-positivism, are integrated to enhance understanding and provide a multi-faceted perspective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi pengembangan madrasah dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan melalui integrasi tiga komponen utama, yakni kurikulum berbasis kompetensi, kepemimpinan transformatif, dan pemberdayaan komunitas. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi terlibat, dan analisis dokumen, kemudian dianalisis secara sistematis melalui proses reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk memperoleh temuan yang valid dan kredibel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kurikulum berbasis kompetensi dengan penekanan pada konteks lokal mampu meningkatkan relevansi proses pembelajaran serta kompetensi praktis peserta didik. Kepemimpinan transformatif kepala madrasah berperan signifikan dalam membangun budaya kerja kolaboratif, meningkatkan motivasi guru, serta mendorong inovasi pembelajaran. Di samping itu, pemberdayaan komunitas memperkuat dukungan sosial dan menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan yang partisipatif dan inklusif. Integrasi ketiga dimensi tersebut menghasilkan model pengembangan madrasah yang bersifat holistik, adaptif, dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini mengimplikasikan perlunya kebijakan penguatan peran kepala madrasah sebagai agen perubahan, penyesuaian kurikulum dengan kebutuhan lokal dan global, serta optimalisasi keterlibatan komunitas dalam mendukung peningkatan mutu pendidikan madrasah.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (Pesantren) play a strategic role not only as educational and da'wah institutions, but also as institutions for the economic empowerment of the community. Law Number 18 of 2019 concerning Islamic Boarding Schools (Pesantren) emphasizes the role of Islamic boarding schools in education, da'wah, and community empowerment, including economic empowerment. This article aims to analyze the management of Islamic boarding school entrepreneurs in realizing economic independence in Islamic boarding schools, using a case study of the Al-Kautsar Modern Islamic Boarding School in Sumbersari, Srono, Banyuwangi. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, focusing the analysis on the management functions of planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling (POAC). The study results indicate that Al-Kautsar Modern Islamic Boarding School has developed a pesantren business unit as an alternative source of income. However, the implementation of pesantrenpreneur management still requires strengthening the planning system, organizational structure, implementation mechanisms, and integrated evaluation and control. Systematically strengthening pesantrenpreneur management has the potential to promote economic independence in Islamic boarding schools while strengthening institutional commitment without abandoning Islamic educational values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum optimalnya keterlibatan guru dalam berbagai aktivitas sekolah di luar tugas mengajar, yang menunjukkan bahwa organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) belum berkembang secara maksimal. Kondisi ini diduga berkaitan dengan bagaimana kepala sekolah memimpin serta bagaimana suasana kerja yang dirasakan guru di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh servant leadership kepala sekolah dan iklim organisasi terhadap OCB guru di SD Negeri Kabupaten Solok. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, serta didukung oleh observasi dan wawancara terbatas untuk memperkuat pemahaman konteks lapangan. Analisis data dilakukan melalui statistik deskriptif dan regresi untuk menguji pengaruh antar variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa servant leadership dan iklim organisasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap OCB guru, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Namun demikian, OCB yang muncul masih cenderung bersifat individual dan belum sepenuhnya menjadi budaya organisasi. Temuan ini juga menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan yang ada masih lebih dominan pada aspek relasional, sementara iklim organisasi yang terbentuk sudah relatif nyaman tetapi belum cukup mendorong partisipasi aktif guru. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa peningkatan OCB guru tidak cukup hanya melalui tuntutan kinerja, tetapi perlu didukung oleh kepemimpinan yang memberdayakan serta iklim organisasi yang tidak hanya kondusif, tetapi juga mampu menstimulasi keterlibatan aktif guru dalam organisasi sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of digital competence of educational staff on academic service quality through the dual mediation of work motivation and performance at Campus 2 of State University of Surabaya(UNESA). The research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design involving 106 educational staff selected through purposive sampling and stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with 68 items measuring digital competence (DigCompEdu), work motivation (Herzberg's Theory), performance (IWPQ), and academic service quality (HEdPERF). Data analysis utilized Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with IBM AMOS 24.0 and bootstrapping technique with 5000 resamples. Results revealed that digital competence significantly affects work motivation (β=0.453; p<0.001), performance (β=0.287; p<0.001), work motivation influences performance (β=0.394; p<0.001), and performance affects academic service quality (β=0.521; p<0.001). The dual mediation effect was significant with total indirect effect β=0.238 (p=0.002), and the model explains 67.4% of academic service quality variance. The novelty lies in integrating a comprehensive serial mediation model, demonstrating that digital competence transformation into academic service quality requires simultaneous psychological (motivation) and behavioral (performance) pathways within Indonesian higher education contexts. Digital competence improves the quality of academic services by strengthening work motivation and optimizing performance. These findings confirm that improving academic services in higher education requires an integrated strategy that combines digital competence development, motivational interventions, and systematic performance management.

Abstract

The phenomena of burnout and anxiety have become a serious concern in global mental health due to their impact on individual psychological well-being and productivity. Although research on work stress continues to grow, the literature remains largely dominated by Western perspectives, leaving sociocultural aspects in non-Western populations understudied. This systematic review aims to examine how sociocultural factors influence the prevalence, manifestations, and coping strategies for burnout and anxiety in adolescents and adults across various professions. This study followed PRISMA guidelines and searched the Scopus database through 2025. A total of 103 primary studies were selected after a screening process and methodological quality evaluation using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) instrument. The analysis was conducted using narrative thematic analysis and supported by bibliometric mapping using VOS viewer software. The results indicate that cultural context plays a role in shaping experiences of burnout and anxiety. Several studies in collectivistic societies reported more frequent somatization symptoms, while studies in more individualistic societies tended to show a predominance of emotional exhaustion. Furthermore, this study found a predominance of WEIRD (Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, and Democratic) samples in the mental health literature, indicating a limited representation of non-Western cultures. Factors such as social stigma, hierarchical structures, and demands for self-sacrifice were associated with an increased risk of burnout, particularly in caregiving professions. Conversely, communal support and spirituality were reported as adaptive coping strategies in various Eastern cultural contexts. These findings underscore the importance of developing more culturally sensitive mental health interventions and organizational policies. However, the results of this study should be interpreted with caution, as the heterogeneity of cultural characteristics and study designs analyzed may limit the generalizability of the findings. Therefore, further research with a more diverse cross-cultural approach is needed to strengthen our understanding of burnout and anxiety in a global context.
