Abstract

Obesity a condition of excessive body weight, is a major nutritional issue and a known risk factor for degenerative diseases. Based on the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey, the prevalence of obesity among adults over 18 years old reached 23.4%. A preliminary survey of 10 students at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Jambi, found 3 students to be obese. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with obesity among students at the faculty. This quantitative study used an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach and involved 136 respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data collection utilized instruments such as the Stunkard Figure Rating Scale, PSQI, IPAQ-SF, PSS, and FFQ, along with direct measurements of body weight and height. The study found that 21% of the students were obese. There were significant associations between obesity and sex (p=0.017), parental body shape (p=0.025), sleep quality (p=0.005), and physical activity (p=0.005). However, no significant association was found with stress (p=0.361), consumption of high-risk foods (p=0.277), or fruit and vegetable intake (p=0.070). Sleep quality was identified as the most dominant factor (Adj PR 12.788). Sex was a protective factor, while parental body shape, poor sleep quality, and low physical activity were risk factors for obesity. Abstract

Communication failure can lead to malpractice, misunderstanding, delayed diagnosis, service, additional costs, incomplete information, patient and family dissatisfaction and can even cause death, so effective communication with the SBAR method is needed during patient handover in the recovery room. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the attitude of SBAR communication during patient handover in the recovery room in Anesthesiology Nursing students at 'Aisyiyah University of Yogyakarta. This research method uses quantitative correlation with a cross-sectional design. Sampling with random sampling totaling 67 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire with Spearman rank analysis. The results of the Spearman Rank correlation test obtained a p-value of 0.000 <0.005 and a correlation value of 0.758 (strong), meaning that there is a relationship between knowledge and the attitude of SBAR communication during patient handover in the recovery room in Anesthesiology Nursing students at 'Aisyiyah University of Yogyakarta. The majority of respondents had good knowledge of 35 respondents (52.5%) and good attitudes of 37 respondents (55.2%).

Abstract

Anxiety can weaken uterine contractions or reduce maternal pushing power (power), thereby inhibiting labor progress and potentially leading to prolonged labor. Many pregnant women experience anxiety during childbirth. Aromatherapy can help relax the body, improve mood, and refresh the mind. Rose essential oil has been shown to reduce relative sympathetic nerve activity by 40% and decrease plasma adrenaline concentrations. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest with control group. The population and sample included all mothers who gave birth at the Lena Barus Binjai Clinic between October and December 2024, totaling 20 individuals, divided into intervention and control groups. The result of the t-test showed a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant effect of Rosa damascena aromatherapy on reducing anxiety levels during the first stage of active labor. The mean ranks for the control and intervention groups were 5.70 and 15.30, respectively, with sum ranks of 57.00 and 153.00.

Abstract

Welding workers are vulnerable to various accident risks, such as electric shock, fire, and explosion, which can result in serious injury and even death. One of the main causes of work accidents is failure to use personal protective equipment (PPE). This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of video and leaflet-based counseling methods in improving knowledge, attitudes, and actions related to the use of PPE among welding workshop workers. A quasi-experimental study with a non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design was conducted in Tanjung Gusta Village, Medan, involving 36 welding workshop workers who were divided into intervention (video) and control (leaflet) groups. The results showed that both extension methods significantly improved workers' knowledge, attitude, and action scores (p<0.05). However, video counseling showed a greater advantage, with a higher mean score increase and a significantly higher N-Gain value (61.8) compared to leaflet (43.3) (p<0.001). Mann-Whitney analysis confirmed that the intervention group using the video showed a significant increase in mean knowledge, attitude and action scores compared to the control group. This study concludes that video education is more effective than leaflets in improving PPE use among welding workshop workers. Integration of video-based education into occupational health programs is recommended to improve worker safety behavior.

Abstract

Drug logistics management is a crucial aspect in ensuring drug availability in primary healthcare facilities. This study aims to analyze logistics management strategies to improve drug availability at the Dalu Sepuluh Tanjung Morawa Community Health Center. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with two key informants and direct observation. The results showed that all stages of logistics management—planning, procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal—have been implemented in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulations. Planning was carried out using LPLPO and referring to DOEN. Drug storage applies the FIFO and FEFO principles, but storage space is still limited. Distribution is carried out routinely every two months, although delays are often encountered by the district pharmacy installation. Stock monitoring is still predominantly manual, despite the availability of applications such as SIMPUS and SIODANG. The process of eliminating expired drugs has not been routinely scheduled due to limited funds and space. In conclusion, the logistics strategy has been implemented comprehensively, but improvements are still needed in technology integration, storage capacity, human resource training, and drug disposal management to ensure optimal and sustainable availability.

Abstract

Increased blood pressure during pre-anesthesia if not treated will cause bleeding both intra and post-operatively.Furthermore, it also increases the anesthetic dose, which prolongs the patient's recovery period after anesthesia. One therapy that can lower blood pressure is the recitation of the Asmaul Husana (Asmaul Husana) because it has a relaxing effect on the body. This study aims to determine the effect of dhikr Asmaul Husana on blood pressure in pre-anesthesia hypertension patients at the Yogyakarta Islamic Hospital PDHI..This research method used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design with the Wilcoxon test. The sample in this study were 54 pre-anesthesia patients with accidental sampling. The results of data processing using the Wilcoxon test obtained a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05), which means Ha is accepted. These results indicate that there is an effect of dhikr Asmaul Husana on blood pressure in pre-anesthesia hypertensive patients at the Yogyakarta Islamic Hospital PDHI. Abstract

Primary health care is a very important first-level service in the health system, especially in remote and low-income areas. The development of digital technology has great potential to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of primary health care through integration in management strategies. This article is a literature study that aims to explore the role of technology in primary health care management strategies based on the results of recent research. Data were obtained from various national and international scientific journals between 2021 and 2025 through searches on databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus, and ScienceDirect. The results of the analysis show that the use of technology such as electronic medical records, telemedicine, and mobile health applications can improve access, service quality, and managerial efficiency. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, digital literacy, and human resource readiness are still major obstacles. This study recommends the need for contextual adaptive strategies to optimize the use of technology in primary health care, especially in developing countries like Indonesia.
