Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed the educational landscape, prompting institutions to rethink conventional learning management practices. The integration of Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) has emerged as a strategic innovation that fosters inclusive, interactive, flexible, and learner centered education. This study adopts a qualitative multiple case study design to explore how VLE integration transforms learning management across three schools with distinct characteristics. The findings indicate that transformation occurs across three dimensions planning: shifting from traditional design to digitally integrated curriculum development, implementation: evolving from instructional teaching to facilitative digital engagement and evaluation: transitioning from manual assessment to adaptive digital analytics. Major challenges include teachers limited digital competence, low self efficacy, and resistance to pedagogical change. Continuous professional development and emotional readiness programs are essential to strengthen teachers’ capacity for technology integration. The qualitative scope and limited number of cases constrain the generalizability of the findings, as contextual and infrastructural variations may influence implementation. Future studies should broaden contextual coverage and employ mixed methods to enhance the validity and applicability of results. Theoretically, this study advances understanding of digital pedagogy transformation, while practically emphasizing the importance of teacher competence, robust infrastructure, and adaptive learning cultures in sustaining educational innovation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to observe that the value of education in the era of globalisation has shifted from education to economic education. Education, which has a noble ideal of liberating humans from a life of shackles, has become economic education with a single goal: profitability in the era of globalisation. The narrative of globalisation promotes the connectedness and interdependence between individuals and ideas, but places education within a perspective of industrial education. This study employs a sociological approach to critically and logically explain this shift, drawing on access to books, journals, academic writings, and historical manuscripts. The results of this study suggest that globalization, driven by technological advancements, has transformed education into a commodity in the industrialization process. Ultimately, the conclusion of this study is the shift in educational values brought about by technological developments, which have elevated economic education as a key educational value in the era of globalisation.

Abstract

This article examines participatory-based management strategies of Grassroots Reading Hubs, or Community Reading Parks (Taman Bacaan Masyarakat / TBM), in fostering inclusive learning spaces for rural communities from an adult learning perspective. Grounded in the andragogical principles of Malcolm Knowles, this study emphasizes self-directed learning, the use of participants’ lived experiences, and the practical relevance of learning activities. A qualitative case study approach was employed, using interviews, observations, and document analysis at TBM Rumah Inspiratif in Jombang Regency. The findings show that TBM optimization is achieved through a pentahelix collaboration involving government, academia, private sector, community, and media. Unlike conventional top-down instructional coaching models, this study highlights a community-led and experience-based learning approach that is adaptive to local needs. Program innovations, such as upcycled handicraft training and thematic literacy activities, demonstrate how andragogical principles are operationalized in practice. These initiatives transform TBMs from reading spaces into inclusive hubs for lifelong learning, skills development, and community empowerment. This study contributes by integrating participatory management with andragogical learning design, offering a contextual and sustainable model for grassroots literacy development in rural areas.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the application of the Naqsyabandiyah Order on the character formation of students at Al-Karomah Islamic Boarding School. The research method used is a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The research population consists of all 120 active students, with a sample of 32 students selected using random sampling technique. The research instrument is a Likert scale questionnaire to measure the intensity of tarekat practice and the character indicators of the students. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence of the application of the Naqshbandi Order on the character formation of students. Thus, the higher the intensity of practicing the Order, the better the character that is formed. The application of the Naqshbandi Order significantly affects the formation of students' religious character, discipline, responsibility, simplicity, and independence. Religious studies, the practice of dhikr, suluk, and guidance from the mursyid are the main factors that encourage the formation of noble character among the students.

Abstract

Data-driven decision-making regarding school facilities is a crucial element of effective school governance, particularly in vocational high schools (SMK), which require efficiency and accurate information. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of an expert system for managing facilities in vocational high schools, developed as a web-based management information system. This study employs a mixed-methods approach—combining quantitative and qualitative methods—to empirically measure the practicality of the developed product. The study subjects consist of 14 SMK principals in the city of Padang. The quantitative approach was conducted using a questionnaire as the instrument, followed by statistical analysis. Meanwhile, the qualitative approach was conducted through observation and interviews. Based on the results of the quantitative study regarding the effectiveness test, it was found that all indicators—namely usability, technical performance, security, content and information effectiveness, usage efficiency, and user satisfaction—achieved maximum scores. These findings indicate that the Expert System Platform is highly effective; however, this does not imply that the product requires no further development. Qualitative research through interviews revealed that school principals desire the addition of news channels and alumni-specific data, even though the current model has been deemed effective.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and optimize school financial management through the implementation of the School Financial Management Information System (SIMKEU-EDU) as a solution to inefficiencies in manual financial administration at SDK Manahan Surakarta. The research employs a mixed-method approach combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. Qualitative data were obtained through observation, interviews, and document analysis using triangulation, while quantitative data were used to measure the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of the system. The qualitative findings reveal that manual financial recording is prone to human error, data duplication, and delays in reporting, making financial monitoring and accountability difficult. In contrast, the SIMKEU-EDU system enables digital recording, automatic transaction tracking, and real-time financial reporting, significantly reducing administrative errors and time inefficiencies. Quantitative analysis demonstrates high system validity with an average score of 92.4%, high effectiveness shown by a 45% reduction in transaction processing time and a 60% increase in reporting accuracy, and strong practicality indicated by 90% user satisfaction among school administrators. The study concludes that SIMKEU-EDU is valid, effective, and practical for optimizing financial management, supporting digital transformation, and improving governance in school administration.
