Abstract

Parijoto jam is an innovative food product that comes from parijoto fruit, a typical fruit of Kudus City. Mothers who are members of the Aisyiyah Branch of Bakalan Krapyak Kudus Village have entrepreneurial potential in the field of food products. The aim of the service is to improve partners' skills in making parijoto jam (parsley) and marketing it as a typical Kudus food preparation. The process of making this jam uses heating and sugaring methods, sugaring is what makes the jam product have a longer shelf life. The parijoto jam product produced has a sweet, sour taste and has a thick texture according to jam standards and has a shelf life of 2 months at room temperature. The training activity was carried out for two days, the first day was socialization about the benefits and methods of processing parijoto fruit, followed by demonstrations and joint practice in making parsley. On the second day, training was held on how to market products, apply for production permits and halal certificates. A total of 30 participants took part in the activity. Evaluate activities with methods pre and post-test, and by asking participants questions about the material. The result was an increase in participants' knowledge after being given socialization and training, namely the average score pre-test 29 increased to 42 after training. Some participants were also able to answer questions correctly. Furthermore, it is necessary to provide assistance in the implementation of production and business sustainability by participants.

Abstract

The development of the Rajendra Farm educational tourism area in Dusun Trayu as an international educational tourism destination is a strategic step in promoting sustainable tourism and education in Indonesia. Dusun Trayu, located in an underdeveloped area, has great potential to become a center for learning about nature and culture, attracting both local and international tourists. This study aims to outline some key aspects of the development of the Rajendra Farm educational tourism area in Dusun Trayu as an international educational tourism destination. Rajendra Farm was initiated by Mr. Heri Kurniawan in 2008, initially as a small-scale sheep farm. This sheep farm continued to develop and underwent its fair share of ups and downs until 2016 when it finally established a successful farming system. From that point on, it was able to collaborate with livestock organizations in Yogyakarta. Rajendra Farm has since partnered with Karang Taruna Trayu, Ngargosari Tourist Village, the Ministry of Agriculture, and Jalaluddin. Its primary goal is to facilitate qurban (sacrificial) activities. As the business evolved, Rajendra Farm expanded into educational tourism related to sheep farming. However, this educational tourism was incomplete due to a lack of glamping facilities, photography spots, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Therefore, as a civil engineering student, the author assisted Rajendra Farm in developing its educational tourism, particularly in designing a restaurant. Based on the existing conditions at Rajendra Farm, which already had foundations, floor slabs, columns, and a roof in place, the author created a 3D restaurant design to provide a visual representation of the restaurant that will be built at Rajendra Farm.

Abstract

Molecular analysis has played a pivotal role in diagnosing and managing diseases during pandemics by enabling early outbreak detection and rapid identification of disease causes, leading to prompt treatment. However, there is still a pressing need to enhance the understanding and proficiency of molecular diagnostics in Southeast Asia. Therefore, proactive measures should be taken to improve comprehension through seminars and training programs focused on molecular analysis. The objective is to strengthen the diagnostic and management capabilities of healthcare workers concerning infectious diseases in Southeast Asia, ultimately aiming to enhance the overall health of the population. The target participants include healthcare professionals, medical laboratory technicians, educators, and students. Through collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia, two significant events were organized. The International Seminar on Medical Laboratory Technology (ISoMLatech), took place on July 5, 2023, with the theme "Advancements in Molecular Assay for Diagnosing and Managing Infectious Diseases in Southeast Asia." This event was held in a hybrid format, utilizing Zoom and the UNUSA Auditorium, and it attracted 510. Afterwards, a Short Course was conducted since August 13 to 15, 2023, at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) with 22 participants, The materials received were as followed: the fundamentals of molecular examinations, immunochemical detection, epidemiology of infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and visits to UPM Campus and Institute of Bioscience, UPM. The evaluation results indicate that over 75% of participants rated both ISoMLatech and Short Course as good or very good. Consequently, there is strong anticipation for the continued success and implementation of the program.

Abstract

Improving the quality of health management is a fundamental basis for enhancing community well-being. A primary challenge faced by PUSKESMAS is the suboptimal management of health data, which impedes program monitoring and response to diseases. The implementation of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology at UPTD PUSKESMAS Urug, Kawalu District, Tasikmalaya City, as a community service output from Telkom University, aims to address this issue. GIS enables spatial mapping of community health data, such as patient locations and disease distribution, facilitating better analysis and decision-making. The development of this GIS application involved initial data collection, system design, and Focus Group Discussions with PUSKESMAS staff. The results show improvements in data integration, spatial visualization, and decision-making efficiency, particularly in mapping non-communicable diseases. The system’s socialization to users has received positive feedback and enhanced health resource management. The ease of data updating is a notable advantage in its operation. Further development is recommended to include various other health aspects to maximize the benefits of this technology for the community. Ultimately, the implementation of GIS at PUSKESMAS Urug holds significant potential to improve the quality and responsiveness of health services and could serve as a reference for other PUSKESMAS.

Abstract

Children are individuals who are vulnerable to infectious diseases. This disease can be influenced by various factors such as knowledge, behavior and environment. Identification of risk factors can determine the right intervention method. This community service aims to identify potential infectious diseases, their risk factors and evaluate the intervention methods given to children to prevent infectious diseases. This activity was carried out in the Kamoro tribal village, Mimika Papua. The activity was carried out in March 2024 targeting pre-school children and school children. This service consists of 3 stages, namely which are health examination, environmental surveys and education on infectious disease prevention behavior. Health examinations are carried out to identify ear, respiratory tract, digestive tract and skin diseases. Environmental identification is carried out by surveying the village environment and education is carried out through counseling, questions and answers and simulations. The results of this service show that most Kamoro children experience upper respiratory tract infections (URTI) (70.37%), with risky environmental factors in the form of lack of sanitation facilities, clean water and puddles. Education on infectious disease prevention behavior shows that the question-and-answer method is less than optimal, but the simulation method is easier for Kamoro children to understand. It can be concluded that ISPA is an infectious disease that is often suffered by Kamoro children with risk factors such as type of house, availability of clean water, toilets and puddles. Prevention education with simulation methods is more appropriate for learning disease prevention.
