Abstract

The siyasa approach in understanding the concept of the state offers a comprehensive paradigm, with spiritual and moral dimensions as the main foundation. In this perspective, the state is not just a political entity, but a divine mandate that must be carried out to realize noble goals: upholding justice ('adl) and safeguarding the benefit of the people (maslahah). This article explores the essence, functions and characteristics of an ideal state according to siyasah fiqh, which includes implementing sharia fairly, protecting individual and collective rights, strengthening social justice, and realizing the unity of the people in diversity. By exploring the thoughts of classical scholars such as Al-Mawardi and Ibn Khaldun, this article not only offers historical reflections, but also examines the relevance of the concept of siyasa in facing modern challenges. The dynamics of globalization, secularization and the hegemony of the Western political system are major tests in the application of siyasa values. This research uses a literature study methodology as the main method. For data collection methods from various literature, this study also involves comparative analysis between traditional theories and modern political reality. The conclusion of this study confirms that although the modern world presents new complexities, spiritual and moral values ??in siyasah remain relevant. Therefore, creative and innovative strategies are needed to transform these values ??so that they can be applied effectively in today's global context.

Abstract

The ingkung tradition is one of the very significant cultural heritages for the people of Sriwangi Village, Suku III District, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. Ingkung is not just a dish, but a ritual symbol that is full of profound meaning, both from a socio-cultural and religious perspective. This tradition serves as a symbol of cultural identity, a means to strengthen social relationships, and a way to get closer to Allah. Although it is still preserved, the challenge of modernization is an important concern that needs to be overcome so that this tradition can continue to thrive amidst changing times. The ingkung tradition has a rich depth of meaning and is in line with the principles of Islamic law. The local wisdom contained in this tradition can serve as a bridge to strengthen the cultural identity of the community without neglecting religious values. People can practice the ingkung tradition as a form of gratitude and togetherness, as well as a manifestation of obedience to religious law. The importance of intention in carrying out the ingkung tradition shows that every action must be based on awareness of a higher purpose. Furthermore, this tradition also provides space for people to maintain social relationships and strengthen solidarity among them. Thus, ingkung is not just food, but also a symbol of values that must be upheld in daily life. However, the challenges of modernization and social change need to be faced wisely. Efforts to preserve the ingkung tradition must be done actively, involving the younger generation in every implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social media management strategy of the Instagram account @Sobat Islami in producing Islamic content, with a focus on the effectiveness of delivering religious messages in the digital era. Social media, especially platforms such as Instagram, has become a potential tool in disseminating Islamic values ??to a wider audience. This study explores various aspects of management, including content planning, scheduling, managing interactions with followers, and utilizing creative features such as videos and images. The results show that an effective social media management strategy plays an important role in increasing the appeal and spread of Islamic content. With a structured approach, social media accounts are able to convey messages that are relevant, inspiring, and in accordance with Islamic values, while strengthening relationships with digital communities. This study contributes to the understanding of the use of social media as an innovative modern means of da'wah.

Abstract

This article discusses the philosophical approach in the interdisciplinary study of multicultural Islamic Education. Islam as a universal religion emphasizes human values, equal rights, and recognition of cultural diversity. In understanding multicultural Islam, philosophical approaches are an important instrument to explore the essence, essence, and wisdom of religious teachings. An interdisciplinary approach allows for the integration of various disciplines to provide a more comprehensive understanding of social, cultural, and religious issues. This research highlights how philosophical approaches are applied in Islamic studies through metaphysical, epistemological and axiological analyses. Using this perspective, Islam is not only understood in normative aspects but also in an applicative context that is relevant to the challenges of the times. The study also emphasizes the importance of multicultural Islamic education in building tolerance and harmony in a pluralistic society. The research uses qualitative methods through literature analysis. This research is analytical-descriptive, aiming to explore philosophical concepts, theories, and principles related to Islamic religious education in a multicultural context. Through this approach, research not only explains the concept, but also analyzes and interprets the meanings contained in it. This study concludes that a deeper understanding of Islam can be an alternative solution in dealing with social and cultural complexity. Multicultural Islamic education must continue to be developed as an effort to moderate religion to create an inclusive and peaceful society.

Abstract

This research is about the competency of PAI teachers in implementing the independent curriculum. Many teachers still face difficulties in understanding and applying the new concepts promoted by this curriculum. Therefore, the aim of this research is to find out how competent teachers are in implementing the independent curriculum as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors. This research uses field research, with a qualitative approach. Data was collected by observation, interviews and documentation. Then it is analyzed through data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. In implementing the independent curriculum, teachers use various teacher competencies. For example, pedagogical competence has five roles, namely the ability to understand the character of students, the ability to create learning designs, develop a curriculum, the ability to carry out educational learning and the ability to evaluate learning outcomes. And professional competence has five roles, namely the ability to understand educational principles, the ability to understand teaching materials, compiling teaching programs, implementing programs in the field of education and the ability to evaluate the results of the teaching and learning process. And there are supporting factors such as existing facilities and infrastructure, improving teacher qualifications, innovation in teaching, and support from the school and there are also inhibiting factors, namely, poor time management, differences in student character, and limited references.

Abstract

This study examines the importance of promoting equality, tolerance, and inclusion in multicultural societies, focusing on the role of religion and the challenges faced in achieving these ideals. Utilizing a qualitative literature review method, the research analyzes secondary sources, including books, scholarly journals, and relevant articles. The findings reveal that discrimination, conflict, and extremism pose significant barriers to equality in diverse contexts. However, principles such as pluralism, tolerance, and interfaith dialogue provide pathways to overcome these challenges. Religion plays a crucial role in shaping societal dynamics through moral values, social structures, and cultural identities. Interfaith dialogue serves as an effective means to foster understanding, build positive relationships, and promote peace among different religious communities. The study emphasizes best practices for fostering inclusion and tolerance, such as inclusive education, open communication, collaboration among faith communities, and a commitment to peace. Ultimately, this research argues that through collective efforts, multicultural societies can develop into inclusive and tolerant environments where individuals coexist peacefully and respectfully, appreciating the richness of diversity.

Abstract

Social harmony is essential for fostering peaceful coexistence in multicultural societies, particularly in regions with diverse religious backgrounds like Jambi Province, Indonesia. This study investigates the role of Maqashid Syari'ah Islamic legal objectives in promoting interfaith harmony and social cohesion. This study employs a qualitative approach to explore the concept of social harmony and its significance in promoting inter-religious coexistence, specifically within the context of Maqashid Syari'ah in Jambi Province. The study highlights the importance of collective commitment from various societal actors, including religious leaders, community organizations, and local governments, in promoting interfaith dialogue and understanding. The research identifies practical strategies for enhancing social cohesion, such as community engagement initiatives and educational programs emphasizing shared values and mutual respect among religious groups. This study underscores the relevance of Maqashid Syari'ah as a guiding framework for addressing contemporary challenges of intolerance and radicalism in Jambi Province. By promoting social harmony through the lens of Islamic teachings, the research offers valuable insights and practical solutions that can be adapted to other regions facing similar challenges. Fostering a tolerance and cooperation culture is vital for achieving sustainable peace and stability in diverse societies.

Abstract

The Sekura Festival custom in West Lampung is one of the many fascinating acculturation phenomena that Indonesia has to offer, given its rich cultural heritage and predominately Muslim populace. However, as modernization advances, traditions may lose their relevance. Because of this, people may view these customs as merely amusement without appreciating the Islamic principles they represent. There will be a conflict between adhering to Sharia principles and preserving culture as a result. Examining how Islamic ideals are represented in the symbols and customs of the Pesta Sekura tradition practiced by the residents of West Lampung is the aim of this study. Relevant literature content analysis was used to perform library research. According to the study's findings, the Sekura Festival is full of Islamic principles that are internalized through seven key elements: friendship (ukhuwah islamiyah), thankfulness, tolerance and cooperation (ta'awun), joy within the bounds of Sharia law, education and cultural da'wah, simplicity and unity, peace and reconciliation, and gratitude. Sekura symbols (Betik and Kamak) and the ritual system as a whole are excellent means of conveying these principles. According to this study, the Sekura Festival is a tangible illustration of cultural da'wah (dakwah bil hikmah), which is the integration of Islam with regional culture while adhering to Sharia law. In the face of modernity's problems, it is also a crucial means of preserving cultural legacy and fortifying the community's Islamic identity.

Abstract

This study examines the construction of occidentalism within the framework of contemporary Islamic theology, focusing on Hasan Hanafi's thought and its contribution to maintaining epistemology in the non-Western world. The aim of the study is to identify the forms of occidentalism that emerge in contemporary Islamic theological discourse. It explores Hasan Hanafi's approach to the deconstruction of Western epistemology and assesses the impact of Hanafi's thought on the development of knowledge discourse in non-Western contexts. The methods used are critical library research and hermeneutic textual analysis of Hasan Hanafi's main works, as well as a comparative study of the literature on occidentalism and epistemology in non-Western regions. The results show that Hasan Hanafi offers a systematic critique of the pretensions of universality of Western epistemology with an emphasis on epistemic plurality, the historical reconstruction of Muslim experience, and the need for an autonomous normative basis for knowledge production in the Islamic world. His thought challenges the tradition-modernity dichotomy and introduces the concept of cultural reconstruction as a strategy to restore the epistemic heritage of non-Western societies. The study concludes that Hasan Hanafi's contribution enriches contemporary Islamic theological discourse by offering a critical epistemic framework that rejects occidentalist domination and opens up space for pluralistic dialogue between local traditions and intellectual innovation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the multicultural values instilled in the millennial generation in Ma'had Aljamiah, this research is motivated by the degradation of national morality values that are really concerning and multicultural problems that cause conflict prone to changes caused by radical elements in the millennial generation. This type of research is qualitative research research with a descriptive approach, the data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that the strengthening of multicultural values in Mahad Al Jamiah to instill the character of students has been realized through a moral knowing approach. Every night Monday to Thursday, students learn to recite, Friday is filled with yasinan, and the mauizotul hasanah program is implemented. Ustadz and ustadzah alternately delivered material on Islamic creeds, morals, morals, and laws. Saturday night is filled with muhadoroh activities for self-development. Strengthening through moral feeling is applied by instilling a sense of empathy and mutual help among students. Strengthening through moral action is reflected in the obligation of congregational prayer and discipline in Mahad Al Jamiah IAIN Curup. Factors supporting the strengthening of multicultural values of the millennial generation in Mahad Al Jamiah IAIN Curup are influenced by the students themselves, the support of ustadz/ustadzah, seniors, ma'had administrators, dorm friends, and various activities. However, inhibiting factors can arise from the students themselves.
