Abstract

Minat belajar siswa terhadap sejarah di tingkat menengah sering rendah akibat metode pengajaran monoton dan kurang relevan dengan kehidupan mereka. Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi manajemen di SMA Negeri 15 Ambon untuk meningkatkan minat belajar sejarah. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis SWOT menunjukkan sekolah berada pada kuadran I (strategi SO), mencerminkan potensi besar dalam memanfaatkan kekuatan internal. Kepala sekolah menerapkan manajemen partisipatif melalui penguatan kebijakan, dukungan inovasi pembelajaran, dan kemitraan eksternal. Guru sejarah aktif menggunakan metode interaktif berbasis teknologi, sementara kegiatan ekstrakurikuler sejarah turut memperkuat motivasi belajar siswa. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya manajemen sekolah yang kolaboratif dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar sejarah yang menarik dan kontekstual.

Abstract

Stres kerja merupakan salah satu tantangan yang sering dihadapi oleh guru dalam melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran kepala sekolah dalam mengelola stres kerja guru melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah memiliki peran strategis dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif, memberikan dukungan emosional, serta membangun komunikasi yang terbuka dengan guru. Selain itu, kepala sekolah juga berperan dalam mengatur beban kerja secara proporsional dan memberikan motivasi yang berkelanjutan guna meningkatkan semangat kerja guru. Dengan adanya kepemimpinan yang responsif dan solutif, tingkat stres kerja guru dapat ditekan sehingga produktivitas dan kualitas pembelajaran tetap terjaga. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya peran kepala sekolah sebagai manajer, motivator, dan fasilitator dalam menjaga kesejahteraan psikologis tenaga pendidik. Penanganan stres kerja guru tidak dapat dilepaskan dari kepemimpinan yang humanis dan adaptif. Upaya sistematis yang dilakukan kepala sekolah menjadi bukti bahwa peran kepemimpinan transformatif sangat menentukan dalam menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan yang mendukung kesehatan mental guru dan peningkatan mutu pembelajaran secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Technological advancements highlight the urgent need for digital library management to support the quality of higher education services. This study aims to analyze the management strategies of digital libraries at the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (FIP UNESA), in enhancing service excellence. A descriptive qualitative approach with a holistic single case study method was employed. The findings reveal that implementing well-planned management, developing technological infrastructure, providing continuous training, and conducting user feedback-based evaluations positively affect service efficiency and user satisfaction. However, limitations in human resources and insufficient librarian training remain significant obstacles. The study concludes that continuous training and improvement of human resource competencies are crucial factors in delivering optimal digital library services.

Abstract

This study aims to analysis the classroom mapping process for new students as a strategy to create a conducive, inclusive, and effective learning environment. The process considers not only academic ability but also students’ social, emotional, and Quran reading and memorization skills—reflecting the integration of general and religious education values. This descriptive qualitative study employed in-depth interviews, document analysis, and observation. Informants included the principal, vice principal for curriculum, and teachers directly involved in the mapping process. Findings show that classroom mapping is conducted collaboratively and regularly. A key strength of the school is the inclusion of Quran reading and memorization assessments as part of the criteria. This approach not only ensures more accurate class placement but also serves as a foundation for designing teaching strategies that are tailored to the individual needs and potential of each student.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between college entrance test scores in arts, social, numeric, mathematics, Indonesian, and English with the Cumulative Achievement Index (GPA) of vocational students majoring in applied social studies. Data were obtained from students enrolled in vocational study programs and analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression. The results showed that scores in the fields of arts, social, and Indonesian had a significant positive relationship with GPA. The multiple linear regression model revealed that the three variables contributed significantly to the prediction of GPA, whereas the numeric, mathematics and English scores did not have a significant effect. The overall regression model was significant (p < 0.001) with an adjusted R² value of 0.216. These findings indicate that verbal, social, and creative abilities are more relevant as predictors of academic success at the vocational level in applied social studies than numerical and mathematical abilities. The results of this study serve as input for rearranging the content weighting of college entrance tests according to the competency needs of graduates.

Abstract

Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP) Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) menghadapi tantangan dalam mengelola layanan administrasi terkait persuratan setelah peningkatan jumlah program studi. Sebagian besar proses administrasi masih dilakukan secara manual, yang mengurangi efisiensi dan memperpanjang waktu pelayanan. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, penelitian ini mengusulkan digitalisasi persuratan berbasis e-layanan yang dapat mempercepat proses administrasi, mengurangi beban kerja manual, dan meningkatkan transparansi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan metode Borg& Gall.  Sistem yang dikembangkan memungkinkan mahasiswa untuk mengajukan surat secara daring, mulai dari pengisian formulir hingga penerimaan surat melalui email. Implementasi sistem ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi layanan, mengurangi kesalahan administratif, dan mendukung transformasi digital di FIP Unesa. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini sangat mempermudah mahasiswa dalam mengajukan surat tanpa harus datang langsung ke kantor administrasi, serta mendapatkan respon positif dari pengguna.

Abstract

The accelerating digital transformation in education highlights the strategic role of principals in cultivating sustainable digital culture, yet empirical evidence from vocational schools in developing countries remains limited. This study employs a qualitative exploratory design in five public vocational high schools (SMKs) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, with 15 informants comprising principals, teachers, and administrative staff. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, and analyzed thematically. The findings reveal six interdependent dimensions of digital leadership: vision and policy, digital learning, teacher professionalism, digital management, assessment and supervision, and responsiveness to social–ethical issues. Together, these dimensions illustrate how principals strategically integrate technology and organizational culture to enable holistic school transformation. Unlike previous studies that primarily emphasize teacher innovation or PLC mediation, this research highlights the broader organizational processes of fostering digital culture within vocational education. Theoretically, it advances educational leadership literature by proposing a context-specific framework for digital leadership in developing countries. Practically, it provides concrete guidance for principals and policymakers in designing professional development, formulating digital policies, and fostering ethical digital awareness to strengthen sustainable school digitalization.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of the school principal's leadership at SD Muhammadiyah Jogokariyan in enhancing education quality. Employing a qualitative-phenomenological approach, this study explores how a transformational leadership style focusing on systemic innovation and a long-term vision serves as a key factor in the school's success.  The principal fulfills seven key roles educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator, and motivator with an integrated and systemic approach.  The implemented strategies include management digitalization, a collaborative quality assurance system, and structural innovations such as the "dual homeroom teacher" policy. Findings reveal a strong correlation between transformational leadership and a significant increase in academic achievement (ANBK) and school accreditation.  This report concludes that leadership based on role modeling and proactive system design is an effective model for building sustainable educational quality.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a comprehensive model that can be used to improve the quality of research in universities in the digital era, while also testing its feasibility. The model was developed using a qualitative approach, using in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs) with department officials and lecturers. Content validity was used to test its feasibility. This study produces a lecturer competency development model to improve research quality in the digital era, consisting of four integrated pillars: Digital Literacy, Research Methodology Enhancement, Academic Writing Competency, and Continuous Learning Adaptation. The feasibility test results indicate that this model is suitable for use as a strategy to improve lecturer competency in research and scientific publications. This research provides an original contribution in integrating lecturer competency development to improve the quality of research that is adaptive to digital transformation.

Abstract

The development of educational institutions is highly dependent on the capacity and productivity of educators within those institutions. With professional human resource management arrangements, it is hoped that educators and education personnel can work well. The school's human resources include the principal, teachers, students, staff, and the community. This study aims to measure the correlation between the principal's leadership style and job satisfaction with teacher work discipline, a study conducted at four private junior high schools in Bogor Regency. The research method uses descriptive and verification analysis with an explanatory survey of 80 teachers from the four schools. The research results show that the total correlation between leadership style, job satisfaction, and teacher work discipline is 0.230 or about 23.0%. Leadership style has a greater influence on subordinate work discipline than job satisfaction, both directly and indirectly. Therefore, it is important to make efforts to improve leadership styles in order to increase teacher work discipline and to improve job satisfaction in order to increase teacher work discipline.
