Abstract

This research is titled "Implementation of Teacher Performance Supervision at SD Negeri 88 Palembang." This study aims to understand how the implementation of teacher performance supervision is carried out at SD Negeri 88 Palembang. The research design employed in this study is field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques involve data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The findings of the research indicate that the implementation of teacher performance supervision has been carried out effectively and regularly every year. The stages of teacher performance supervision consist of planning, implementation, and evaluation. The program for teacher performance supervision has been executed according to the established plan, and the process has been well-implemented. This is evident in the procedural execution of teacher performance supervision, covering the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. In the planning stage, the school head forms a supervision team and reviews records or documents related to the subject of supervision. The implementation stage involves using the classroom visitation technique, where the school head actively participates in the field. Finally, the evaluation stage assesses the results of the well-executed supervision, with the school head, supervision team, and subject of supervision collectively discussing the outcomes. Challenges in the implementation of supervision include the duration or timing of supervision. School heads may sometimes have limited time to conduct supervision, and teachers may not always be prepared for the routine supervisory process, viewing it as a daunting activity because their superiors are the ones evaluating them. Solutions to these challenges include effective time management by school heads and changing the mindset of teachers to see supervision not as a threatening activity but as an evaluation tool to improve their performance.

Abstract

Speech development delays in children are often triggered by inappropriate parenting styles during their developmental stages. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method to analyze parenting styles, particularly permissive parenting, concerning speech delays in 4-year-old children. Factors such as parental busyness, low educational levels, lack of stimulation, positive support from the environment, and limited interaction are identified as major contributors to the issue. Research findings highlight that permissive parenting influences the language development of children through a lack of positive examples, adequate stimuli, and guidance from parents.

This research highlights the importance of reading as a key element in understanding scientific concepts, introduces written language symbols, and emphasizes the role of the family environment and children's play on reading development. Focus on children's early reading delays in grade 1 elementary school students in the JL area. HM. Kamil, Lorong Anggrek which aims to identify parenting patterns as a significant factor. Researchers try to overcome this problem by introducing activities to the concept of early reading, highlighting the importance of appropriate parenting patterns and creating an interesting learning atmosphere. Qualitative descriptive research methods were used to explore information regarding the influence of parental parenting on children's early reading development. The research results show the application of a primitive parenting style, which allows children to explore without certain stimuli. The implication of these findings is the need for a creative and varied approach to early reading learning, taking into account children's readiness and supporting the positive role of parents in forming children's interest in reading.

Abstract

development of educational institutions. Several factors are predicted to affect performance, including transformational leadership and organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB). This study investigates the direct effect of transformational leadership and OCB on performance. In addition, we also tested the mediating effect of OCB between transformational leadership and performance relationships. The population in this study were all lecturers and administrative staff of Institut Agama Islam Negeri Kerinci, with the status of civil servants totalling 254 people. Based on this number, 152 people who would be the research sample were obtained. Researchers adapted three research scales for data collection: Individual Work Performance (IWP-1.0), the Organizational Citizenship Behaviour Scale, and The Global Transformational Leadership scale (GTL). Hypothesis testing using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM PLS) through the SmartPLS. The research findings showed a significant effect of transformational leadership and OCB on performance; OCB also has a mediating effect on these relationships. Testing using multigroup analysis proved that there was a significant effect on all genders, but greater significance was found for male respondents. Higher education leaders can begin to consider performance metrics that include OCB as an integral part of faculty and administrative staff performance appraisals. This policy will encourage them to perform with sincerity beyond fulfilling routine tasks. In addition, university leaders also need to display transformative leadership to support the achievement of better performance of lecturers and administrative staff.
