Abstract

This study examines the determinants of Generation Z students' intention to visit green hotels in the Jabodetabek region, grounded in the Theory of Planned Behaviour and Green Perceived Value. The research employs a quantitative approach, collecting data from 111 respondents through structured questionnaires and analysing it using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that functional value, emotional value, and social value significantly influence attitudes toward green hotels, which in turn positively shape visit intention. Functional value strengthens attitudes through perceptions of service quality, reliability, and cost efficiency, while emotional value reinforces satisfaction, pride, and a sense of moral responsibility. Social value further enhances acceptance and positive social image, particularly among Generation Z, who are highly influenced by community opinions and digital social interactions. Moreover, attitude emerges as a critical determinant of visit intention, confirming the theoretical premise that favourable evaluations of green hotels lead to a stronger behavioural intention. This study contributes to the understanding of sustainable consumer behaviour by highlighting how multidimensional perceived values drive positive attitudes and visit intentions toward green hotels. The results provide theoretical insights for future hospitality research and practical implications for hotel managers in promoting sustainable tourism practices.

Abstract

This research analyzes the effectiveness of the Indonesia-Malaysia cooperation in implementing the One Channel System (OCS) concerning the enhanced protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (IMW) in the domestic sector. The primary issue investigated is the suboptimal substantive protection for IMW, despite the new policy framework established by the 2022 MoU. Using a qualitative research method involving policy document analysis and stakeholder interviews, this study examines the dynamics of OCS implementation. The findings indicate that the improvement in protection is more procedural, such as the legalization of tens of thousands of placements, rather than substantive progress, which relates to the improvement of workers’ real conditions. The effectiveness of OCS on the ground is undermined by three main factors: an asymmetry of national interests between Indonesia's focus on protection and Malaysia's orientation towards fulfilling labor demands; weak bilateral oversight and law enforcement mechanisms; and the continued operation of non-procedural recruitment channels by illegal brokers. This study recommends strengthening joint oversight institutions and enforcing strict law enforcement to bridge the gap between formal policy and on-the-ground reality.

Abstract

This study analyzes the communication skills of elementary school students in the 21st century learning context, where communication is recognized as one of the most essential competencies for academic and social success. The research was conducted with sixth-grade students in a private elementary school in Bandung during the 2023/2024 academic year. This study employed a quantitative descriptive method. Data were collected through a 25-item questionnaire developed from five indicators of communication skills: Respect, Empathy, Audible, Clarity, and Humble. The instrument was tested for validity and reliability, yielding strong results (average r-value = 0.683; Cronbach’s alpha = 0.94). The findings show that most students (40%) are in the medium category, with 25% in the high and very high categories, and 35% in the low and very low categories. These results indicate that while many students possess functional communication skills, a significant portion still faces difficulties in clarity, audibility, and confidence when interacting. The study concludes that systematic and student-centered approaches are required to strengthen communication skills. Strategies such as role-playing, project-based learning, and structured feedback are recommended to support students across different proficiency levels and to foster more effective learning environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the communication strategies of community empowerment implemented through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of PetroChina International Jabung Ltd in the form of the Batik Canting Emas Training. This program represents an enabling CSR initiative focusing on enhancing community capacity and fostering women’s economic independence in Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. The research was conducted from January to June 2025, with a three-month data collection period, thereby providing a contextual overview relevant to the socio-economic conditions of the local community. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study examines the communication strategies applied in the processes of awareness-building, training, and community assistance. The findings reveal that dialogical communication, interpersonal communication, and participatory approaches constitute the primary strategies in developing awareness, skills, and entrepreneurial motivation among local women. The contribution of this research lies in mapping CSR communication strategies that can serve as a practical reference for other companies in designing community-based empowerment programs. Moreover, the study highlights the added value of women’s empowerment, which not only promotes economic independence but also strengthens their social roles within families and communities. These strategies have proven to significantly contribute to creating a positive corporate image while reinforcing social relations between the company, the government, and the community.

Abstract

A powerful wave of change has swept across the global business landscape over the past seven to eight years. Three fundamental disruptions—digitalization permeating every aspect of life, the dominance of the millennial generation with its unique preferences, and the pandemic that drastically altered the socio-economic order—have significantly reshaped consumer behavior. These conditions have forced the freight forwarding industry in Indonesia to undergo radical transformation: from merely providing product-based services to building an integrated service ecosystem. This crucial transformation aims to optimize overall business performance and enhance the quality of national cargo services. his study delves deeply into how Service Quality, Brand Image, and Price converge to build a robust service ecosystem among Indonesian freight forwarding companies. The goal is to orchestrate various stakeholders within the complex logistics ecosystem. Adopting a quantitative approach, the study develops a model consisting of five construct variables and 50 indicators, all of which have been rigorously tested for validity and reliability. Data was collected using a Likert scale (1–5) questionnaire survey involving company leaders from freight forwarding firms, including members of logistics associations. Using a combination of area proportional random sampling and stratified proportional random sampling, data was successfully collected from 300 respondents. The data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with the SmartPLS software. The results reveal the central role of price in influencing logistics industry orchestration and the formation of a service ecosystem. Competitive and strategically set pricing proves to be a critical catalyst in facilitating effective interactions among companies within the logistics network. Statistically, the dominant factor in this study is the price variable, which has a significant influence on logistics industry orchestration (coefficient 0.534) and the service ecosystem variable (coefficient 0.490). The findings indicate that efficient pricing strategies aligned with the value offered have great potential to enhance coordination, collaboration, and better management among various actors in the logistics industry. Moreover, superior service quality and a strong brand image also play vital roles in improving the effectiveness of orchestration and strengthening the foundation of the service ecosystem. Overall, the study concludes that all 10 proposed hypotheses are significant, affirming the crucial role of integrated logistics industry orchestration in driving operational efficiency and improving company competitiveness. Therefore, the study recommends that freight forwarding companies in Indonesia design smart and adaptive pricing policies, leverage technological advancements and digitalization to optimize operations and cost efficiency, and strengthen strategic partnerships among stakeholders. These steps are essential for realizing a more efficient, sustainable, and competitive logistics ecosystem. The study underscores that effective pricing management is not merely a cost element but a strategic key to enhancing competitiveness and significantly contributing to the creation of a superior and efficient logistics ecosystem.

Abstract

This research examines the application of the smart mobility concept as a transition strategy towards low-carbon transportation in East Kalimantan, focusing on the cities of Samarinda and Balikpapan. This research aims to analyze the role of transportation digitalization in improving public service efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and identifying barriers to implementation. The method used is an exploratory case study with a content analysis approach to secondary data. The results show that smart mobility in East Kalimantan is beginning to have a positive impact. E-parking services, the development of e-ticketing, and the use of navigation applications have proven effective in reducing congestion and fuel consumption. Furthermore, the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) has shown a significant increase, marked by a 452% increase in electricity consumption and a 406% increase in SPKLU (Public EV Charging Station) transactions by 2024. The expansion of SPKLU and SPBKLU infrastructure has strengthened the electric vehicle ecosystem in this region. However, obstacles remain, such as a digital literacy gap among the community, particularly among the elderly, low-income groups, and residents in rural areas. This limits the optimal utilization of digital transportation services.

Abstract

This study presents a systematic synthesis of research on the implementation of the AISAS (Attention, Interest, Search, Action, Share) model to enhance user engagement on Instagram from 2015 to 2025. Using the PRISMA 2020 protocol, 58 scholarly articles were analyzed to identify thematic patterns, best practices, and research gaps. The findings confirm that AISAS has been widely applied in influencer marketing, visual content strategies, brand awareness campaigns, and user-generated content, et the Search and Share stages remain underexplored. The study contributes a key novelty by proposing the Adaptive AISAS Cycle (AAC), which reconceptualizes AISAS not as a linear funnel but as a recursive engagement loop, where Search renews Attention and Share reinforces Interest. This cyclical interpretation better reflects the iterative dynamics of digital consumer behavior shaped by algorithmic personalization, emotional storytelling, and participatory culture. Theoretically, this study enriches digital marketing literature by advancing AISAS into an adaptive cycle, while practically it provides guidance for designing Instagram strategies that sustain long-term engagement and brand advocacy.

Abstract

The changing dynamics of English language teaching (ELT) increasingly require creative methods that integrate adaptive pedagogy and technology to address varied student  needs. This qualitative study investigates how seasoned English teachers incorporate these strategies to improve student engagement, motivation, and metacognitive  abilities. Semi-structured interviews were performed with six teachers from diverse educational environments, and thematic analysis was employed to identify patterns and insights. The study found that teachers use digital tools such as language applications, online platforms, and multimedia resources while adjusting strategies to match students’ abilities and learning preferences This integration enhances student engagement and passion, particularly through gamified and interactive activities, while also promoting self-reflection and strategic learning, allowing students to assess and evaluate their own progress. Nonetheless, difficulties sustain, such as disparate access to technology among students and the continual necessity for professional development to align with advancing educational technologies. The research emphasizes the transformative capacity of integrating adaptive pedagogy with technology instruments, indicating a transition towards more individualized, student-centric English Language Teaching methodologies. The implications for teachers indicate that the careful integration of various methods can foster dynamic learning environments that enhance language proficiency and promote lifetime learning skills.

Abstract

Climate change has had a significant impact on the sustainability of coastal communities, particularly small-scale fishers who depend on the stability of marine ecosystems for their livelihoods. This study aims to understand the forms of adaptation undertaken by fishing communities in Aru Bay, South Kalimantan, and examine how these adaptations relate to existing institutional support and policy frameworks. Using a qualitative case study approach and analysis based on the Sustainable Livelihood Framework (SLF), this study explores ive forms of livelihood capital human, social, natural, physical, and financial that shape fishers’ adaptation strategies. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with nine key informants, including active fishermen, fishermen's families, and the local village head. The results show that fishermen's adaptation process occurs autonomously and is heavily influenced by local experiences, social relations, and their interpretations of seasonal changes and extreme weather. Adaptation occurs through adjusting fishing times and locations, diversifying income, and establishing informal social networks. However, limited access to technology, financing, and social protection remains a significant barrier. These findings are expected to form the basis for developing more contextual and inclusive policies in response to the challenges of climate change in the small-scale fisheries sector

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of credit restructuring based on the principles of contract law in Indonesia, particularly in the context of economic instability that affects the ability of debtors to fulfill their obligations. Through a doctrinal and normative legal approach, this study examines the restructuring policies implemented by financial institutions by reviewing relevant regulations, legal principles, and their practical implementation. This study finds that although credit restructuring is clearly regulated in regulations such as the “Otoritas Jasa Keuangan” (OJK) Regulation, there are challenges in its implementation related to the principles of freedom of contract, equilibrium, and morality, especially when creditors refuse to grant restructuring even though debtors meet the criteria. This study suggests the need for more equitable and flexible policies, as well as improved understanding among debtors of their rights and obligations under credit agreements. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the development of more efficient and fair credit restructuring policies for both parties, as well as maintaining the stability of the banking sector in Indonesia.
