Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants of purchase decisions for PUBG Mobile skins among Generation Z, focusing on the roles of user experience, scarcity, and gamification, with perceived value as a moderating variable. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 220 respondents through an online survey and analyzed with SmartPLS 4.0. The results demonstrate that user experience, scarcity, and gamification each have a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions. Specifically, higher user experience, increased scarcity of skins, and stronger gamification features significantly encourage players to make purchasing decisions. In addition, the findings reveal that perceived value successfully moderates the relationships between user experience, scarcity, and gamification with purchase decisions. When players perceive greater value in the skins offered, the influence of these three variables on purchase decisions is further strengthened. This highlights that perceived value not only acts as an independent factor but also enhances the impact of other determinants in shaping consumer behavior. Overall, the study contributes to the understanding of digital consumer behavior, especially within the mobile gaming industry. The implications suggest that developers and marketers should emphasize optimizing user experience, designing scarcity strategies, and implementing engaging gamification features while enhancing the perceived value to maximize in-game purchases.

Abstract

This research investigates operational challenges in the mining industry, specifically the weighing and documentation of coal shipments at PT XYZ. The process previously relied on manual data entry across three separate systems, resulting in recurring problems of data inaccuracy, process inefficiency, and excessive workload that disrupted operations and delayed managerial decision-making. The study aims to analyze the root causes of these issues, design a practical solution, and evaluate its impact. A mixed-method approach was applied, combining interviews, field observations, and quantitative measures such as error rates, process cycle efficiency, and Full-Time Equivalent calculations. The proposed solution, designed through a user-centered design framework, introduced automation via RFID-based dump truck identification, automatic generation of delivery documents, and integration of weighbridge data across internal and external applications. Implementation reduced errors by 86%, improved efficiency more than fourfold, and decreased workload by 80%, allowing a single operator to manage the process effectively. The findings confirm that automation and system integration significantly improve the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of coal shipment documentation, demonstrating how digital interventions can enhance both operational performance and strategic decision-making in mining logistics.

Abstract

Turn Around activities in the oil and gas industry involve the mobilization of thousands of temporary contract workers with non-technical backgrounds who face extreme and risky working environments, creating a high potential for work accidents that threaten lives and the operational sustainability of strategic national refineries. This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment, occupational safety and health (OSH) training, work experience, and education level on work accidents, considering the mediating role of unsafe actions as manifestations of risky behavior that directly trigger incidents. An explanatory quantitative approach was applied through Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares, involving 242 Turn Around worker respondents to test a complex structural model. The results reveal significant findings where unsafe actions are proven to be the dominant predictor of workplace accidents, while work experience actually increases the risk of accidents both directly and through the mediation of unsafe actions due to the phenomena of overconfidence and complacency. OSH training and education levels, which should be protective, significantly increased unsafe actions because they created an illusion of competence without real practical skills, while the work environment had a direct effect on accidents but not through behavioral mediation. The academic contribution of the research lies in the empirical validation that in the ultra-complex petrochemical industry system, the Normal Accident Theory and Swiss Cheese Model are more relevant than the classic individual approach, while the practical contribution is the recommendation for a fundamental transformation of the safety management system from a quantitative-formalistic approach to the quality of interventions that are contextual to the actual operational complexity. The study concludes that workplace accidents in the context of Turn Around are the result of systemic interactions between organizational failures in providing relevant training, the mismatch between worker competencies and task demands, and the normalization of risky behavior reinforced by overconfidence from pseudo-experience and inapplicable education.

Abstract

The rapid growth in consumer expectations and the increasing demand for online shopping have necessitated the integration of distribution systems that can serve customers seamlessly across multiple channels. Despite its potential, implementing an effective omni-channel system presents various challenges, particularly in aligning operations with the values perceived by customers. Addressing this issue, the present study—titled “The Role of Omni-channel Integration in Driving Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty in Indonesia E-commerce”—seeks to contribute to the expanding literature on omni-channel strategies. Specifically, the study aims to empirically examine the relationships between omni-channel order fulfillment integration, integration quality, perceived omni-channel value, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty. The data analysis uses the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) to explore these relationships. The findings indicate a positive relationship between omni-channel integration and customer satisfaction, while the quality of omni-channel integration is also positively associated with customer loyalty.

Abstract

The air conditioner (AC) serves as an enabling facility to support the continued operation of coal mining activities at PT Bukit Asam, Tbk (PTBA) Tanjung Enim site, particularly at the substation, mine switch station, server room, and other work facilities. Although Preventive Maintenance (PM) of AC has been fully implemented every month, the Corrective Maintenance (CM) rate remains high. This research aims to determine the causes of the high number of work orders (WO) for CM in AC, how to design an appropriate PM and CM schedule that can be implemented to be more effective in reducing failure rates, and recommendations that can be propose to improve the reliability of AC systems in coal mining areas. The method used is the DMAIC (Define–Measure–Analyze–Improve–Control) approach, combined with FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and risk-based maintenance principles. Data was analyzed from the monthly report, work order history from July to December 2024, observations, and semi-structured interviews with related management and users in the operational department. Research findings indicate that 55% of activities are non-value-added, while only 45% of activities are value-added. FMEA analysis identified several failure modes, including filters that easily become dirty, the lack of PM monitoring and evaluation, not yet to conduct an environmental risk assessment for air conditioner maintenance on the mining site, and the movement between departments is far away. The implementation of risk-based maintenance for work order CM, from January to June 2025, has classified risks into high, moderate to high, moderate, and low to moderate risk locations that directly impact operations, and has positive results with a sigma level increasing from 2.88 to 3.29. Propose improvement recommendations include reorganizing the PM schedule by location and implementing digital tagging forms for units to report maintenance activities.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of a collaborative approach in teaching descriptive text writing to grade 10 students in one of the public schools ESTV-IT 28 Dili Timor Leste. The problem behind this study is the students' low ability to write descriptive text effectively, which is characterized by a lack of ideas, poor paragraph structure, and weak use of vocabulary. The collaborative approach is believed to address these problems. by providing space for students to discuss, give feedback, and build mutual understanding in the writing process. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and document analysis in the form of student writing results and learning tools. The results show that the implementation of collaborative approach can increase students' involvement in the learning process, strengthen critical thinking and cooperation skills, and produce more structured and expressive writing. Despite challenges such as unequal participation in groups and time constraints, teacher mentoring strategies and the use of peer feedback proved effective in supporting the collaborative process. This study makes an important contribution to the development of collaboration-based writing teaching strategies, especially in descriptive text learning. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for teachers in designing learning that is contextual, participatory, and in accordance with the needs of 21st century students.
