Abstract

Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by inadequate nutritional intake over a long period of time, resulting in impaired optimal physical and cognitive development. The problem of stunting and malnutrition requires coordination between various parties to overcome it. In Agam Regency, especially Nagari Kamang Hilia, the stunting rate is still relatively high, with a prevalence of 24.6%, according to the latest Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI). One of the factors influencing this is the high cost of nutritious food, which reduces the interest of mothers in serving healthy menus for the family. Therefore, education and training on nutritious food processing with alternative food sources is needed to increase public understanding. This program targets posyandu cadres and PKK mothers as the main targets, with the aim of providing knowledge about the importance of fulfilling nutrition to prevent stunting and malnutrition. The results of this activity are expected to increase awareness and interest of mothers in processing nutritious food that is attractive and liked by families, especially children.

Abstract

Innovation in sustainable agriculture is key to improving the productivity and quality of agricultural products, especially in areas with low soil fertility challenges. This service activity explored the impact of the application of Biochar and Bioactivator (BnB) technology on the growth medium of banana Kepok Tanjung seedlings in Sijunjung Regency. Biochar, which is produced from the pyrolysis of rice husks, serves to improve water retention and nutrient availability, while bioactivators accelerate the decomposition of organic matter and increase soil microbial activity. Through the method of socialization and structured demonstrations, the initial hypothesis of the activity provides an overview that the use of BnB technology significantly improves the growth parameters of seedlings, including an increase in stem diameter by 15.6% and an increase in the number of leaves by 26.2%. Statistical analysis showed a consistent Z-score and a very significant p-value (<0.001), from this hypothesis it confirms the effectiveness of this technology in improving the quality of the growth media of banana Tanjung Kepok seedlings. These findings not only provide an overview of the potential of BnB technology in banana cultivation but also offer sustainable solutions to increase agricultural productivity in areas facing similar challenges. Recommendations for follow-up service activities include optimizing application doses and evaluating long-term impacts on the sustainability of soil ecosystems.

Abstract

The kelulut / Trigona bee business development sector is still carried out as a small-scale business and is still far away when compared to other countries that have been able to produce large-scale honey production. Indonesia's honey production has only reached around 2,000 tons / year with a low level of honey consumption per capital, which is around 10 to 15 grams / person / year or only equivalent to one tablespoon per person per year. UMKM Umah Labah An Nahl Farm and Education located in Cimpua Pasa Durian village, Nagari Lareh Nan Panjang Sungai Sariak, Padang Pariaman Regency was founded by Febri Mulyadi, S.Pd. with two colleagues two years ago. In general, kelulut beekeepers in Cimpua village have not been organized in containers such as farmer groups or cooperatives so that they work individually so that their business progress has not been encouraging, including Umah Labah. This UMKM Umah Labah An Nahl Farm and Education is just developing and has various problems, including: 1. Marketing or marketing; 2. Educating consumers about the taste and quality of honey; 3. Working partners (retailers and so on) in adjusting prices; 4. Choosing good and attractive packaging and 5. Taking care of licensing correspondence. Thepurpose of the service is to develop superior products of Padang Pariaman Regency produced by Umah Labah An Nahl Farm and Education MSMEs to improve the quality and quantity of products / services to be highly competitive

Abstract

Organic fertilizers have been popular lately because they are believed to increase agricultural yields and are environmentally friendly. With the increasing popularity of fertilizer use, farmers have innovated to make their organic fertilizers using materials available in their surroundings. The problem experienced by farmers is regarding the testing of the fertilizer produced. This community service activity aims to assist farmers in testing fertilizers in the laboratory and provide insight into testing the effectiveness of fertilizers in Jorong Arikia, Nagari Dalko, Agam Regency, aided by 39 students from Padang State University. Assistance is carried out through discussions related to fertilizers, then continued with preparing for testing and assisting in testing fertilizers. The results of this community service activity are increasing farmers' insight in testing organic fertilizers so that the fertilizers produced can optimize harvest results, be certified, and be produced on a large scale to encourage economic growth in the region. In addition, this PkM activity also aims to provide a forum for UNP students who are carrying out community service program activities to be able to practice the knowledge they have gained on campus in the field. Thus, this PkM program is directly integrated with campus activities and is expected to develop further in the future so as to provide a greater contribution to society.

Abstract

One important aspect in learning is assessment. Assessment design is not only useful for measuring the achievement of learning objectives, but the results of the assessment can be used as feedback to improve the learning process. The quality of assessment and learning are a complete unity. Good learning quality can be seen from the quality of the assessment, and vice versa, so it is very important for teachers to understand and be skilled in creating appropriate and innovative learning assessment instruments according to curriculum demands. Field data shows that there are still many teachers in Indonesia who are constrained in creating innovative assessment instruments that are in accordance with the Merdeka curriculum. This also happened at MAN 2 Padang Panjang. Efforts made to overcome this problem are by providing training in creating innovative assessment instruments for teachers. The methods used are lectures, demonstrations, questions and answers and guided practice. The results of the evaluation of this activity show that there is an increase in the understanding and skills of teachers in creating innovative learning assessment instruments.

Abstract

Back to organic farming is necessary but applying this should begin with production of the organic products in a special place called organic center, where the all possible organic products produced from organic waste in a place. This approach has started by the Usaha Tani group last year but failed in fulfilling the goals. This program was proposed to strengthening the organic center with some simple organic projects such as liquid organic fertilizer (LOF), eco-enzyme and maggot. The activities were conducted through establishing the facilities and enhancing the skills. Three of 100 kg buckets were established and were produced about 60 liter LOF, and eco-enzyme is now producing about 1680 liter within 15 of 25 kg buckets, while 450 maggots were ready to be released for making hundred thousand eggs. The farmer group is very antusias with the process and the promissing yields, and be ready for the next steps.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology in the era of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 has made digital literacy an essential skill for teachers. As Generation Z is increasingly immersed in the digital world, teachers must possess digital literacy to deliver innovative learning experiences. Virtual laboratories, such as PhET Interactive Simulations and VASCAK, provide a solution for schools with limited resources. Observations at 11 high schools in South Solok Regency revealed that practical work is hindered by a lack of equipment and materials. Many teachers are unfamiliar with virtual labs, and even those who are aware struggle with understanding the tools. Furthermore, teachers rarely use practical modules that students can use for independent learning. To address this, a Technical Guidance program was implemented to introduce virtual laboratories and improve teachers' digital literacy. Evaluations using pre-test and post-test methods showed a significant improvement, with a normalized gain of 0.73, indicating high progress in teachers' competencies.

Abstract

The problem of online loans has become an increasingly worrying phenomenon in Indonesia. Online loans have become a popular financial solution, but they pose risks such as high interest rates, data security threats, and psychological stress due to debt. Teachers and students are groups that are vulnerable to being affected by this problem, both directly and indirectly. This article discusses the development of an education program for teachers and students at SMKN 2 Padang Panjang, West Sumatra. The aim is to increase financial literacy in order to prevent the negative impacts of online loans among teachers and students. This program is designed through a participatory approach involving seminars, training/workshops, and financial simulations. The results show that structured education can improve financial online loans, financial literacy, education programs, financial management skills and awareness of the dangers of illegal online loans.
