Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has an effect on all countries, including Indonesia. Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta sees this phenomenon as a condition that should be able to become a forum for students to take part in prevention efforts, through the Community Service Program for COVID-19. Eight students from the department of Communication Science of UNS are members of the COVID-19 KKN group under the guidance of a lecturer to apply knowledge and skills from the campus to the community in the environment where they live. With data on COVID-19 cases that are still increasing, the KKN COVID-19 team plays an important role in their respective neighborhoods (Jakarta, Surakarta, Sukoharjo, and Wonogiri areas). Apart from data on positive cases of COVID-19 which is still high, the background for this activity is that the people in the target areas are still not optimally running the new normal protocol. The KKN COVID activities are carried out both offline and online, with the majority of activities online considering physical distancing. From this activity, public awareness can increase, and knowledge and information related to COVID-19 will also increase.

Abstract

In the community service program, this extraordinary condition in 2020 is a problem that will be raised in the form of increasing the empowerment of Suka Alam Waterfall tourism in Sukabumi Village and providing information to the community in Sukabumi Village. This community service aims to develop Suka Alam Waterfall tourism and increase community knowledge in Sukabumi Village. The community service program was carried out in Sukabumi Village, Kota Bangun District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency on July 8, 2020 until. August 18, 2020 using the face-to-face (interview) method represented by group members, face-to-face (online media). The steps to be taken to solve the problem are designing and making logo designs for the Suka Alam Waterfall Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS), and making digital educational materials. It is hoped that this work program can help develop the Suka Alam Waterfall Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS), as well as increase public knowledge information in Sukabumi Village.

Abstract

Tanjung Tiram village is a coastal area in the North Moramo sub-district, South Konawe District, Southeast Sulawesi which has quite high mangroves. However, the mangrove communities in the area have experienced damage in several places. Therefore, this service activity provides counseling on mangrove ecosystem conservation and training on the use of mangrove fruit into various products of economic value. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of the community about the manufacture of various processed products made from mangroves fruit so that the mangrove ecosystem in the area is better preserved. The methods and approaches used in this activity are counseling and training. Community service activities in the village of Tanjung Tiram can increase community knowledge about the importance of mangrove ecosystem conservation and utilization of mangrove fruit up to 100%. Mangrove fruit processing training provided to the community was also able to improve community skills in processing mangrove fruit into flour, syrup, and scrub cosmetics up to 75%.

Abstract

To ensure the regularity of treatment for pulmonary TB patients, Drug Supervisor (PMO) is necessary. One of the villages in the area of Puskesmas Kembaran I which still encountered pulmonary tuberculosis was Linggasari Village. The problems in this village were the increasing number of TB patients and TB cases with drug resistance (TB-RO), irregularity in the treatment and some even stop to have treatment. The factor affecting these situations was the ineffective role of PMO in the family. The cadres in Linggasari Village were posyandu cadres for toddlers and the elderly. To suppress the increasing number of TB and TB-RO cases, cadres could increase its role as PMO. Recently, cadres still obtained limited knowledge and skills on TB disease and its treatment. They were also lack of communication and negotiation skills to convince TB sufferers to get regular treatment. This activity aimed to increase the knowledge and skills of cadres in working as PMO cadres for pulmonary TB disease. To increase the knowledge and skills of cadres as PMO, it was necessary to provide cadres guidance on PMO and other supporting facilities. These activities included 1) Writing cadres’ manuals 2) Health education for cadres 3) Effective communication training for cadres 4) Mentoring, 5) Procurement of supporting facilities. The results of the activities indicated that there was an increase in the knowledge and skills of the cadres before and after the activities. The manual book for cadres is very useful in assisting pulmonary TB sufferers.

Abstract

The purpose of this service program is to assist teachers in compiling and making scientific papers, especially PTK. The targets of the 2020-2021 Odd Semester Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PPM) Activities carried out by the Lecturer Team of the Mathematics Education Study Program of the Faculty of Science Technology are all teachers at SMAN 1 Dawarblandong, Mojokerto Regency. There are three stages in the implementation of the Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, namely the planning stage, the socialization stage, and the implementation stage. The three stages of implementing the PTK were carried out on August 18 to September 11 2020. This PPM activity was attended by all 53 teachers of SMAN 1 Dawarblandong, Mojokerto Regency. The implementation of the Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat activities by the Mathematics Education Lecturer team at the PGRI Adi Buana University Surabaya went smoothly. The participants were very enthusiastic about participating in every scheduled activity. The obstacle faced during the implementation was the lack of internet bandwidth because all the teachers and resource persons used the school's internet network, but this did not dampen the participants' interest in following the activity properly and until it was finished. The conclusion that can be conveyed from the results of the Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PPM) is that the activity runs smoothly despite several obstacles. The first activity is explaining the basic concepts of the PTK, writing the PTK proposal, and the activities of the PTK, the second activity is the writing of the PTK Final Report, and the third activity is the Writing of the PTK Scientific Articles.

Abstract

The use of information and communication technology (ICT) in libraries is mandated by Law No. 43 of 2007 on Libraries. Unfortunately, many school libraries find it difficult to carry out this mandate. The SMK Bina Pangudi Luhur Library is one of them. Revitalizing the SMK Bina Pangudi Luhur Library aims to provide information access and library services based on information and communication technology (ICT). This community service activity method is carried out in three stages, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage was carried out by analyzing the needs of the SMK Bina Pangudi Luhur Library. The implementation stage includes installing computer hardware and software, online and offline training, and data entry for the collection of the SMK Bina Pangudi Luhur Library. The evaluation phase includes evaluation and mentoring activities. The result of this community service activity is the availability of an automated library management system based on the School Integrated Library System and Barcode System. This activity has also succeeded in adding to the availability of digital information sources in electronic school books and electronic folklore books that can be accessed through devices at the SMK Bina Pangudi Luhur Library. Teachers and employees also gained new knowledge about library management based on the School Integrated Library System and Barcode System. It can be a provision for running library operations by utilizing information and communication technology (ICT).

Abstract

Keji Village is one of 35 tourist villages in Semarang Regency, but according to information from the Village Apparatus, it is a tourist village that is difficult to develop. This is because the Pokdarwis, which has been around for a long time, is getting more and more suspended and never carries out any activities. This is because there are no related institutions that work together to conduct training and the like. The biggest obstacle felt was the absence of souvenirs from Keji Village, due to limited natural resources that could be used as basic materials for making souvenirs. Based on observations, it is known that the majority of Keji Village residents are dominated by women, and most of them are unemployed/not yet working. To be able to attract the enthusiasm of the residents in participating in the training, training in making souvenirs that are attractive to women is needed. The objectives of this service activity are (1) increasing public awareness, especially housewives, on the importance of tourism villages; (2) reactivation of existing pokdarwis; (3) provide training and assistance in making beautiful sandals with knitted decorations. The solutions offered are workshops, counseling, and assistance through the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method. Through training and practice of making knitting sandals, service participants have new skills in the form of knitting and making beautiful sandals. The trainees were inspired to open up business opportunities by doing business in beautiful sandals online.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to socialize the use and the ways of utilizing YouTube as an effective learning media in English learning. The target audience are the English teachers of State Vocational School 2 Kediri. The method which was used in this community service was the approach method, the implementation method which consisted of the preliminary step, the socialization and audience step and the evaluation step. This activity was carried out through several stages, the first step was the introduction phase of Youtube. The second step is searching for English media through YouTube facilities and learning implementation. The last step was evaluation and motivation. The result of this community service showed that English teachers of State Vocational School 2 Kediri city could take the advantages of YouTube facilities as the effective English learning media and YouTube media was very popular with high-level students especially students of State Vocational School 2 Kediri city.

Abstract

Joglo craftsmen are one of the parties affected by the Covid19 virus. In this service activity, assistance is provided to partners to help survive the pandemic. Mentoring is carried out in the form of online training to improve partners' skills and knowledge. The training provided includes graphic design training, website management training and internet marketing training using Facebook ads. The training process is carried out synchronously and asynchronously. The process of monitoring partner activities in service activities is carried out using the Edpuzzle platform. The results of the analysis of the output of training activities and monitoring of activities carried out can be concluded that the process of transferring knowledge to partners can be carried out even though the activities are carried out online. Synchronous and asynchronous online training needs to be carried out simultaneously to maximize the knowledge transfer process.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic has an impact on all sectors, especially the health sector. Public health is the main focus of government attention. One of the efforts that have been made is to break the chain of covid transmission by limiting activities outside the home and self-quarantine. After carrying out activities only at home, social and economic problems emerge, requiring people to return to carrying out activities to meet their daily needs. The new life order or the so-called new normal is an alternative for the government to solve these complex problems. The public is expected to implement health protocols in the new normal era as a form of efforts to prevent the transmission of covid 19. To achieve this goal the participation of health workers is highly expected. The role of education is the main thing that must be done considering that many people don't know, don't understand about the new normal and what health protocols must be done in the new normal era. Kediri City is one of the areas that is of concern to the East Java Provincial Government because even though it is in the yellow zone, it has a high risk of increasing its status because it is a reference city in the trade economy sector in the Kediri residency area. The updated data obtained from the Kediri City Office on 4 August 2020 obtained an additional 110 cases. One factor in the increase in cases is due to the tendency of people's attitudes and behavior to ignore health protocols. Therefore education is an urgent thing that must be done so that the public knows and understands how to live a new life while still paying attention to health protocols as a form of efforts to prevent COVID-19 transmission. The abdimas team in collaboration with Puskesmas Campurejo carries out community service to provide Health Protocol Education in the New Normal era in efforts to support the central government and local government programs of Kediri City. The key to the success of efforts to prevent the transmission of covid 19 is if the Government, Health Workers and all levels of society work together to comply with health protocols properly. For this reason, we, a team of health workers from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Kadiri University, have participated in efforts to realize government programs by providing education on health protocols in the new normal.
