Abstract

The case of elementary school students' involvement in acts of intolerance in several regions in Indonesia demonstrates the importance of early radicalism prevention. Early childhood education is a strategic space for instilling valuesof tolerance and compassion from the beginning of development. This study aims to describe the integration of Rahmatan lil 'alamin valuesthrough the Manaqib program of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jailani at Al-Qodiri Kindergarten in Jember as a strategy for preventing early radicalism. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of learning documents. The results show that the Manaqib activity is carried out through three steps: collective dhikr to build spirituality and peace of mind, storytelling of the story of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jailani to instill examples of compassion, care, and respect for differences, as well as habituation and role models of teachers in daily practice. The integrated rahmatan lil 'alamin valuesare ta'addub, qudwah, muwatanah, tawassut, musawah, and tasamuh. Changes are seen in children's behavior, which is friendlier, more open, empathetic, and avoids discriminatory attitudes

Abstract

The current investigation addresses the urgent need for effective counter-narrative strategies against the proliferation of digital extremism. This article analyzes the Hubb Literacy Model implemented by contemporary pesantren as a concrete framework for teaching compassion, tolerance, and religious moderation to safeguard the digital landscape. Utilizing a qualitative case study design, the inquiry involved in-depth interviews with spiritual leaders and students, participant observation, and a comprehensive analysis of curriculum documents at Pesantren Darussalam Blokagung. The findings reveal that the Hubb Literacy Model effectively mitigates extremism through five strategic pillars: the integration of digitalized classical texts (Kitab Kuning), the production of Tawassuṭ (moderate) social media content, the critical filtering of extremist narratives through the Uswah (exemplary) guidance of the Kiai, the institutionalization of Hubb (love) as a daily soft-skill curriculum, and the strengthening of the "Big Family" analogy as a psychological barrier. The present analysis contributes a practical "Digital Era Hubb Literacy" framework that bridges gaps in current literature, providing a viable model for educational institutions and policymakers to formulate values-based counter-narrative strategies in the modern era

Abstract

The current inquiry addresses the 21st-century global leadership crisis triggered by the dominance of rationality devoid of spirituality. In response, this work explores the pesantren (Islamic boarding school) as a vital source of local wisdom capable of producing leaders characterized by moral integrity and inner consciousness. This article aims to investigate the internalization of four foundational pillars—intention (niat), conviction (yakin), gratitude (syukur), and sincerity (ikhlas)—within the Management, Training, and Leadership (MTL) programs for students (santri). Utilizing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the investigation gathered data through participant observation and in-depth interviews with both students and mentors. The findings demonstrate that the application of these four pillars fosters self-awareness, integrity, empathy, and social commitment aligned with global leadership standards. The present analysis concludes that this internalization process is not merely character building but a spiritual journey that guides students to manifest love and harmony in leadership actions. Ultimately, the study positions pesantren-based local wisdom as a strategic bridge toward a more civilized, compassionate, and spiritually-grounded global leadership order

Abstract

This research examines legal pluralism in Indonesian inheritance law, encompassing three parallel systems: Islamic law (sharia), customary law (adat), and civil law (KUHPerdata). Dutch colonial legacies created normative tensions, including the 2:1 faraidh ratio, collectivist customary principles (Minangkabau matrilineal systems or Batak patrilineal systems), and the Civil Code's egalitarian framework, often precipitating familial disputes. Employing a normative-comparative methodology, this study analyzed statutes, jurisprudence, and key real-world cases, such as the 1957 Minangkabau case and Lamtiur v. Hariman (1971). Findings stressed that the command for grounded reconciliation in tolerance and maqashid syariah to harmonize core values.
