Abstract

This study aims to produce science learning media comic in Class V B SD Negeri 55 Lubuklinggau on theme 6 Sub-Theme 2 Heat Transfer around Us which is valid and practical. The development model or Research and Development (R&D) carried out in this study is to use the 4-D development model. The research instrument was in the form of validation sheets from material experts, linguists and media experts. The data collection tool uses a questionnaire to obtain data on product eligibility through validation questionnaires and practicality questionnaires for teachers and students. With a small group test sample of 9 students with different cognitive levels, the teacher's practicality test was then carried out. Based on the results of research and data analysis on the use of comic media, it was found that the validity test by the three experts showed that comic media met the Aiken's V validation interpretation criteria of 0.82 with high validation criteria. While the practicality test of teachers and students obtained student practicality of 94% in the very practical category and the teacher's practicality test of 75% in the practical category with a total of 85% in the very practical category. So it can be concluded that comic media meets valid and practical criteria and can be used in the process of teaching and learning activities. Abstract

This study aimed to explain and prove the causal relationship between parents' education level and parenting. This research was conducted in one of the PAUD schools in East Lombok Regency. The research method used was quantitative with the type of ex post facto correlational research. The population used was the parents of 20 students who were taken using a non-probability sampling technique. Data collection techniques used observation, documentation, and closed questionnaires. Data processing was carried out using statistical analyses such as validity, reliability, and prerequisite analysis tests with t-tests to test hypotheses. The resulting data is then entered into the preparation table to find the value of X, Y, X2, Y2, and XY. The results of this study are, the higher the level of education of parents, the better their understanding of providing parenting to children, while the lower the level of education of parents, the lower the parents' understanding of parenting. Democratic parenting is the most common parenting pattern applied in PAUD compared to authoritarian and permissive parenting and is considered the best parenting pattern because it can shape children into individuals who trust others, take responsibility for their actions, are not hypocritical, and are honest. It is concluded that parents' education level significantly influences early childhood parenting in PAUD. Keywords: early childhood, parenting orientation, education level

Abstract

This study aims to analyze relevant research in implementing the computational thinking approach to improve learning outcomes in Integrated Science (IPAS) at the Elementary School level. The study adopts a meta-analysis approach with data collection conducted through searching Google Scholar or Google Scholar and Mendeley using the keywords computational thinking, learning outcomes, and science education in elementary schools. The search yielded a total of 7 articles that utilized the computational thinking approach in teaching science at the elementary school level, employing qualitative research methods. The findings of the study indicate that the implementation of computational thinking in IPAS instruction at the Elementary School level can provide significant benefits in developing critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, learning interest, and students' digital readiness. Therefore, it can be concluded that the positive implementation of computational thinking contributes to improved learning outcomes and skill development in students. The results of this research are expected to serve as recommendations and a foundation for enhancing students' learning outcomes through the application of computational thinking in the teaching and learning process. Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials based on the High Scope learning model to increase the learning motivation of children aged 3-4 years at TPA Segara Anak Selong. The High Scope model was chosen because it emphasises the active involvement of children in learning, with the teacher as a facilitator. The research adopted the Borg and Gall research and development method with six steps, involving observation, planning, initial product development, initial field trials, revision, and field trials. These stages included the design of teaching materials, development of evaluation instruments, and validation by material experts and linguists. The validation results showed that the teaching materials were categorised as "very good" from material experts and "good" from linguists. The initial field trial involved 15 children aged 3-4 years at TPA Segara Anak Selong. Observation data was converted into scores and analysed to assess the increase in children's learning motivation. The results showed a significant increase in learning motivation. Revisions were made based on feedback from the initial field trial. This research contributes to the development of High Scope-based teaching materials to increase early childhood learning motivation. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) method in Islamic Education learning at SDN 20 in Bengkulu City. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with research subjects consisting of 28 sixth-grade students and teachers teaching Islamic Education at SDN 20 in Bengkulu City. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that the implementation of the CIRC learning method involves all school authorities, supportive facilities and infrastructure, media selection, modes, strategies, and lesson plan preparation by Islamic Education teachers. With the implementation of this learning model, students are able to understand reading texts and solve issues within the readings. The CIRC learning method is considered effective as it enhances student engagement, makes them enjoy the learning process, and aids in understanding readings without feeling bored. Based on the research findings, it is concluded that the application of the CIRC method is effective in Islamic Education learning at SDN 20 in Bengkulu City. This method enhances students' understanding of Islamic concepts and their ability to apply religious values in daily life. Therefore, it is recommended to continue implementing the CIRC method in Islamic Education teaching to enhance the quality of learning and students' learning outcomes consistently. Abstract

This study aims to enhance the learning outcomes of sixth-grade students in the subject of Science by implementing the Experiential Learning method on the topic of the solar system. The research methodology used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with an Experiential Learning instructional design. The research participants consisted of 23 sixth-grade students from SDN Oro-Oro Ombo, and the research instrument used was an observation sheet to measure students' learning achievements. The research procedure consisted of the pre-cycle phase, cycle one, and cycle two. In the pre-cycle phase, an initial evaluation in the form of a pre-test was conducted to measure students' understanding before implementing the Experiential Learning method. Subsequently, in cycle one and cycle two, evaluations were conducted in the form of post-tests to measure the extent of students' comprehension after participating in the Experiential Learning-based instruction. The research results showed that in the pre-cycle phase, there were 4 students (17%) who achieved the proficiency level. This number increased to 9 students (39%) in cycle one, and there was a further improvement in cycle two, with 18 students (78%) reaching the proficiency level and meeting the criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of Experiential Learning in teaching the solar system significantly improves the learning outcomes of students in the Science subject. The students demonstrated an increased understanding of concepts, information retention, and scientific thinking skills. Additionally, this method also enhances students' interest, motivation, and practical problem-solving skills. Therefore, it is recommended for teachers and educational institutions to consider using the Experiential Learning method as an engaging alternative in the teaching and learning process to achieve better learning outcomes in the Science subject, especially in the topic of the solar system. Abstract

Peneliltian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan desain produk LKPD berbasis Higher Order Thinking skill (HOTS). Menguji kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan LKPD berbasis HOTS untuk siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu Research and development dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswai kelas V SD Negeri Purwara V. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan tes. berdasarkan hasil validitas LKPD berbasis HOTS berdasarkan penilaian ahli bahasa, media dan materi menunjukan bahwa LKPD berbasis HOTS memenuhi kriteria valid dengan skor rata-rata 0,78 dengan kriteria “cukup tinggi” Sedangkan dari analisis penelitian lembar angket kepraktisan guru dan siswa terhadap LKPD berbasis HOTS memperoleh nilai sebesar 84,15% dengan kriteria “sangat praktis”. Pada uji lapangan N-Gain diperoleh nilai rata-rata pre-test dan post-test sebesar 0,74 dengan klasifikasi “tinggi” yang artinya LKPD berbasis HOTS memilliki efektifitas tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis HOTS terbukti valid, praktis dan memiliki nilai efektif dalam pembelajaran tematik kelas V SD Negeri Purwara V. Abstract

This research is motivated by the issues found at SD IT Ar-Raihan Pagaralam where students seem to lack interest in Pancasila Education. This can be observed through the students' attitudes during the teaching and learning process, such as not paying attention to the teacher during lessons, chatting with friends, feeling sleepy, and lacking enthusiasm in participating in the learning process. To address the students' low interest in learning, classroom management strategies are implemented. The objectives of this research are: 1) To describe the efforts of teachers in managing the classroom during Pancasila Education lessons at SD IT Ar-Raihan Pagaralam. 2) To describe the role of teachers in stimulating students' interest in learning Pancasila Education at SD IT Ar-Raihan Pagaralam. 3) To describe the role of teachers in managing the classroom to enhance students' interest in learning Pancasila Education at SD IT Ar-Raihan Pagaralam. This is a qualitative research with a descriptive analysis approach. The population of this study includes all 273 students at SD IT Ar-Raihan Pagaralam. The researcher used a non-probability sampling technique, selecting a sample of 30 students from grade V at SD IT Ar-Raihan Pagaralam. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that teachers play various roles in teaching, such as learning facilitators, demonstrators, information sources, mediators, guides, facilitators, and motivators. However, these roles are not fully optimized, as there are still weaknesses in implementation and students' interest in Pancasila Education has not significantly improved. Students still do not feel entirely happy and engaged in Pancasila Education. Common issues faced by students in the learning process include difficulty concentrating, lack of motivation, and memory retention challenges. In conclusion, students do not exhibit a comprehensive interest in learning. Keywords: Teacher Role, Classroom Management, Learning Interest, Pancasila Education.

Abstract

This research aims to develop teaching materials in the form of LKPD based on Guided Inquiry Learning for fifth grade elementary school students that are valid and practical. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development) with the ADDIE development model. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, questionnaires, tests and documentation with research subjects, namely fifth grade students at SD Negeri 61 Lubuklinggau. Based on the results of the validation test analysis of the Guided Inquiry Learning-based LKPD which was assessed by three experts, namely, language experts, media experts and material experts, they met the validity criteria with an average score of 0.84. Meanwhile, from the results of the analysis of teacher and student practicality sheet assessments, it was found that the Guided Inquiry Learning-based LKPD met the practical criteria with an average score of 90.43%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the Guided Inquiry Learning-based LKPD has been proven to be valid and practical, making it suitable for use. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate how first-year class D students can be more motivated to learn by combining traditional classroom methods with modern technological devices. The research comprises four phases: design, implementation, observation, and assessment, making it an example of classroom action research. Eighteen male students and fifteen female students from the first year class D of State Elementary School 130 in Palembang participated in the study. Observation and interviews were utilized as tools. Descriptive qualitative analysis was conducted on all data. In cycle I, it was found that 60% of students had a desire to learn. Students' enthusiasm for learning increased to 96% in cycle II when they paid attention, completed tasks, and made connections with the teacher's content. Furthermore, we had traditional and digital resources to support this, including addition games 1-20, dice, and instructional films. The findings of cycle II indicate that the combination of traditional and technological media significantly enhances students' motivation to learn. Keywords: Professional Competence, Teacher
