Abstract

Proses pembelajaran sejak usia dini perlu diperkenalkan kepada anak sebagai sarana dasar perkembangan diri. Salah satu hal penting yang perlu ditanamkan adalah kesadaran dan motivasi hidup sehat hemat. Tidak hanya sehat secara jasmani, namun sehat secara finansial menjadi salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kesejahteraan masa depan. Penanaman akan kebiasaan tidak dapat dicapai dalam waktu yang singkat,  namun memerlukan proses dan latihan secara terus menerus untuk membentuk karakter dan kebiasaan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan menumbuhkan kesadaran dan motivasi siswa Taman Kanak-kanak (TK) akan pentingnya hidup sehat hemat melalui fun learning, sehingga siswa termotivasi untuk hidup sehat dan menabung demi masa depan. Metode yang dilakukan adalah tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Tahap persiapan meliputi kunjungan awal dan pertemuan dengan kepala sekolah. Pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui aktivitas interaktif agar siswa memahami manfaat hidup sehat hemat. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan mencermati reaksi siswa usai kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan dapat dilihat dari meningkatnya pemahaman siswa akan hidup sehat hemat. Para siswa mampu membedakan makanan yang mahal dan murah, mengidentifikasi makanan sehat pada bekal yang dibawa. Antusiasme serta perilaku aktif siswa dalam menjawab pertanyaan yang disampaikan mampu menggambarkan motivasi anak yang meningkat. Lebih lanjut, rangkaian aktivitas serta interaksi yang dilakukan mahasiswa dengan para siswa mampu menumbuhkan dan mendorong  jiwa seni, kreativitas,  kemampuan berpikir, serta motorik siswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat melalui perkembangan dan kemampuan siswa untuk menyelesaikan setiap aktivitas lebih cepat dari pertemuan pertemuan sebelumnya. Pendekatan melalui aktivitas fun learning mampu memberikan pemahaman, membangun kesadaran dan motivasi anak untuk menerapkan kebiasaan hidup sehat hemat.

Abstract

Lahan gambut di Kalimantan Barat, Indonesia, merupakan ekosistem yang penting namun rentan terhadap degradasi yang disebabkan oleh aktivitas manusia. Dalam upaya untuk mengatasi masalah ini, kegiatan ini memperkenalkan inovasi produk berupa modul sekat kanal berbahan komposit serat sabut kelapa untuk penerapan penyekatan kanal yang berkelanjutan. Studi ini melibatkan serangkaian langkah metodologis yang mencakup studi literatur, pengembangan prototipe, pengujian laboratorium, dan studi kasus lapangan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa modul sekat kanal komposit memiliki potensi yang signifikan dalam mengurangi penurunan permukaan tanah, meningkatkan produktivitas lahan, dan memperbaiki keseimbangan hidrologi di lahan gambut. Selain manfaat ekonomi yang signifikan bagi masyarakat lokal, implementasi modul ini juga memiliki dampak positif terhadap lingkungan, termasuk perlindungan habitat dan pengurangan emisi gas rumah kaca. Temuan ini memiliki implikasi penting dalam pembuatan kebijakan dan perencanaan pengelolaan lahan gambut di Kalimantan Barat, dengan menekankan pentingnya solusi berkelanjutan dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam mengatasi tantangan yang dihadapi oleh ekosistem ini. Kegiatan ini menyoroti potensi inovasi produk komposit modul sekat kanal berbahan baku serat sabut kelapa sebagai langkah penting dalam upaya untuk memperkuat pengelolaan lahan gambut di Kalimantan Barat. Langkah selanjutnya adalah mendorong adopsi dan implementasi solusi ini secara lebih luas, sambil melanjutkan kegiatan lanjutan untuk memperdalam pemahaman kita tentang pengelolaan lahan gambut yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Efforts to efficiently utilize fishery products and economic value to extend the shelf life of fish are called fisheries processing. Traditional market markets and household-scale industries still dominate the fishery processing industry. Home Industry (IRT) fishery products in Palembang is IRT Kuemicel. Application of technology capable of processing fishery products (Snackhead fish). The selection of snakehead fish as raw material is seen from the characteristics of fish meat, nutritional ingredients, and the supply of this type of fish in the Palembang area. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of processing fishery products for Kuemicel IRT’s so as to produce products made from Snackhead fish that are more attractive and have high nutritional content. This activity aims to improve knowledge and skills in processing fishery products for IRT Kuemicel, the methods of activities used include FGD, Training, Tool Provision, and Evaluation. artners' knowledge and skills increased regarding the processing of snakehead fish. Partners have been able to produce processed snakehead fish products (pempek, kemplang and petty snakehead fish) which have their own advantages compared to existing products in the market. In addition, partners' knowledge and skills have also increased in the field of marketing. Partners know marketing management including sales with internet technology, namely digital marketing and social media as a product catalog. Partners develop marketing and promotional media by improving advertisements and posts on social media and providing a more attractive product appearance than before. The service activities that have been carried out at IRT Kuemicel help solve problems in partners so that partners can produce products that meet standards in large enough quantities, of course, saving costs and production time.

Abstract

The theory and application of external lightning protection systems for buildings are not included in the curriculum of the Electrical Engineering Department. Instead, this material is introduced to students through skill training outside regular class schedules, with a focus on components of external lightning protection systems such as finials, down conductors, and grounding. The obligation to install lightning protection systems on buildings is mandated by Law No. 28 of 2002 and Government Regulation No. 36 of 2005. Protection from lightning requires precise planning to be effective in safeguarding buildings. Analysis of lightning strike phenomena and their consequences can be conducted by applying theoretical principles, such as electric fields, magnetic fields, induction voltage, and various theorems related to lightning strike phenomena. Students are provided with an understanding of the concept of lightning strikes, the potential dangers, and the damage they can cause to buildings, living beings, and electronic equipment both inside and outside the building that is affected by lightning strikes. In this simulation, each group is given images of buildings with varying roof shapes and sizes. The buildings are equipped with external lightning protection systems, including the number and placement of finials on the roof, which are then simulated. The effectiveness of the finials placed in these locations is tested to analyze the extent of protection, to ensure that the building is protected from the dangers of lightning strikes.  A total of 40 students participated in this activity, divided into 8 groups. Five groups successfully simulated the installation of finials to achieve an effective level of protection against lightning strikes, while the remaining three groups could only determine the extent of the protection area without being able to plan the installation efficiently. This training provides a benefit by enhancing the knowledge and skills of the students. The students' enthusiasm is reflected in active discussions and question-and-answer sessions that contribute to problem-solving.

Abstract

Kondisi ekonomi nelayan tertinggal merupakan salah satu alasan utama yang mendorong para istri nelayan untuk bekerja dan mencari nafkah untuk keluarga. Hal ini menjadi problematika yang dihadapi oleh keluarga nelayan di Kenjeran, Surabaya. Kondisi perekonomian nelayan salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh kurangnya fasilitas dan edukasi terkait proses pengolahan dan diversifikasi komoditas perikanan yang memadai. Oleh sebab itu, untuk membantu meningkatkan perekonomian di keluarga nelayan perlu dilakukan penyuluhan diversifikasi produk olahan hasil perikanan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pengayaan informasi terkait keterampilan pengolahan produk hasil perikanan. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini diawali dengan survei pendahuluan, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penyuluhan dan pelatihan pembuatan olahan produk hasil perikanan. Pada proses penyuluhan untuk data primer yang diambil dengan melakukan wawancara pengisian kuesioner. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta sudah memahami terkait informasi gizi dan metode pengolahan produk perikanan dengan benar. Peserta kegiatan juga mendapatkan pemahaman terkait penggunaan kemasan sebagai salah satu cara melindungi dan meningkatkan harga jual produk olahan perikanan. Evaluasi kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa istri nelayan memerlukan pendampingan lebih lanjut terkait pengolahan produk ikan yang lebih variatif, beserta pendampingan cara pemasaran, dan penerapan sanitasi serta hygiene selama produksi untuk menghasilkan produk olahan perikanan yang bernilai jual tinggi. Masyarakat nelayan Kenjeran memahami pentinggnya  diversifikasi produk perikanan. Hal ini sebagai upaya peningkatan nilai ekonomi produk sebagai sumber ekonomi warga.

Abstract

Technological advances encourage various types of elements of society, including the MSME business element. The convenience presented by technology influences the development of a business that initially only operated in the offline realm, but is now starting to move into the digital realm. This trend shift must of course be balanced by the ability and understanding of the community, especially MSMEs. One of the most important areas is marketing which has now shifted to using digital media with various conveniences offered, MSME players must follow these developments in order to be able to compete with other business actors. This activity was carried out with the aim of providing in-depth understanding and expertise to MSME players in the field of digital marketing and increasing MSME income through digital platforms. During the implementation of the event, several problems were discovered, such as a lack of public understanding about digital marketing, low motivation to run a business, young people's indifference to the MSME industry, difficulty in visual design creativity and uneven banking payments, these problems made the development of MSMEs not optimal. It is hoped that there will be a similar agenda to provide continuous training so that the MSME industry continues to grow.

Abstract

Teenager reproductive health is a health problem that concerns the nation's next generation, with high vulnerability to sexually transmitted infections (STIs). About 1 million transmissions of STIs, such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis and trichomoniasis occur every day worldwide, and the majority are asymptomatic. Every year, it is estimated 374 million cases are predominantly of reproductive age. This program is based on the trend increasing of promiscuous sexual relations among junior high school teenagers which results in early pregnancy and transmission of STIs. This program has purpose to increase the knowledge of junior high school students and teachers regarding sexually transmitted infections and reproductive health as well as preventing free sex. Counseling regarding reproductive health and sexually transmitted infections is carried out at SMPN 2 and SMPN 6 in Mataram. Extension activities include providing outreach materials, interactive question and answer sessions, Instagram competitions on related topics. The mean post-test score of participants was significantly higher than the pre-test (p <0.05). The scores of SMPN 6 students were found to have a significant increase in the mean during the post-test compared to the pre-test (p <0.05). There was a change in the knowledge of SMPN 2 and SMPN 6 Mataram students regarding reproductive health and STIs after the counseling

Abstract

The aim of this service activity is to increase the self-resilience of pond farmers, due to very rapid environmental changes. Apart from that, this activity is also carried out as a form of implementation of the blue economy which is currently the focus of the government's attention. This is because fisheries cultivation is a business whose production activities are always faced with the threat of risk and uncertainty. The source of this uncertainty is usually a decrease in cultivation production results or price fluctuations. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out risk management to determine the appropriate risk map and strategy to handle production risks experienced by fisheries farmers. The partner for this activity is Pokdakan Berkah Nila Abadi, Dukuhseti District, Pati Regency. Dukuhseti District is an area for brackish water pond fish cultivation. Cultivating salted tilapia is the main commodity. Dukuhseti District is now the main supplier of salted tilapia fish in Central Java and on the island of Java. Seeing the production results and potential of brackish water pond fish cultivation, economically it has contributed to the local population to meet their financial needs. This activity method begins with identifying risks related to cultivation production results and price fluctuations. Furthermore, partners will be provided with training regarding preventive and risk mitigation strategies for managing saline tilapia ponds. It is hoped that regular mentoring and monitoring activities can increase partners' self-resilience abilities. So that partners become strong and superior in competing in the industry.

Abstract

Wastes can be managed into a good source of energy and animal feed to become more economically valuable and profitable. However, only a small amount of this waste is absorbed as an energy source, and becomes food for fish and animal. Several wastes that can used for animal and fish feed are vegetable waste, fruit waste, household and restaurant food waste, namely waste rice, meat, eggs, bones, coconut dregs, grains, etc. These wastes have the potential to be used as fish and animal feed. The food waste availability is quite abundant and has not been utilized to support the cultivation of fish and animal. These wastes are expected as alternative feed ingredients to cut the feed costs effectively and efficiently. If these ingredients are applied, community service activities are necessary regarding the manufacture of alternative feed ingredients from organic waste for fish and animal feed. The service was carried out in Wonosari, Gunungpring Village, Muntilan District, Magelang Regency, in September – October, 2023. Service participants were 15 residents of Wonosari, four students, and nine lectures from Tidar University. Materials in this service focuses on providing education on the types of organic waste that can be used as feed ingredients. The waste is processed through several stages of drying and milling. This service program increases the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing fish and animal feed. Training has an impact on reducing the feed costs effectively through training and community assistance, so that fish and animal farming activities can be carried out efficiently.
