Abstract

This research is used to find out what strategies can be applied to improve employee performance at Mason Elephant Park and Lodge. Where employee performance is used as a research variable. There are 2 data collection techniques in this study, namely through literature study and questionnaires. This study is a type of quantitative data in the form of a questionnaire distributed to 100 employees at Mason Elephant Park and Lodge which was sampled through a simple random sampling technique from 340 total population of employees. The data analysis technique used in this research is using SWOT analysis. Where, from the results of the SWOT analysis, the Mason Elephant Park and Lodge company is in quadrant I position. So the SO strategy that can be focused is maintaining the composition of the number of employees who come from the local area and doing CSR in the village; improve technology support and services; and scheduling workforce training. Abstract

This study aimed to understand (1) The application of Hygiene using hazard analysis and critical point (HACCP) systems in Purchasing Department. (2) Ensuring the safety of hotel food by implementing HACCP system onto their hygiene procedure. This study used descriptive qualitative design that describes the data that have been collected through observation, interviews, documentation matrix analysis IFE and EFE during the research. The results of this study indicate that Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta has implemented the hygiene standart accordance with the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system. In carrying the activities at Purchasing Department, Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta still faces many problems. Abstract

Development in human resources cannot be separated from standardization for hotels, this is due to the determination of hotel star ratings or hotel standards which will cover three aspects: product, service, and management. In terms of management to ensure service delivery, one of the indicators is human resources. For hotels, this competency will certainly be very important, especially for five-star hotels, the competence itself is basically part of the concept in human resource development efforts. The development of good human resources will also of course go through several strategic steps contained in a business plan. The management and implementation of Banghegar Royal Hotel, especially in the aspect of human resource development, is not smooth, development in human resources is carried out through internal education and training, and employees are sent to group institutions for education that are owned by the hotel. Abstract

The education sector is one of the sectors seriously affected by the COVID -19 pandemic outbreak. The learning process changed from having many social interactions to being seated behind a screen for hours. Online learning connects students to a different learning experience. This has become a challenging task f or educators to make the students engaged and motivated through an online learning process; therefore, it requires the educator to discover new teaching strategies. The use of digital platforms for online learning has grown the students' interest exponentially. The educators design the learning material through games. One of the digital platforms used to maximize students' enjoyment and engagement is gamification. In this new normal, the learning process has immediately switched to offline classes. Educators need to provide an active learning activity, especially in teaching speaking. Role p lay is a common technique used to promote active learning and develop students' speaking skills. However, students need fun activities using their mobile phones, and gamification is the solution. The purpose of the study was to analyze the implementation of two combined strategies (gamification and role play) in teaching speaking for developing university students' speaking skills. There were 16 students involved in this study. The design of the study used an embedded mixed method which was mainly in the f orm of a qualitative study but supported by a quantitative data analysis. The study shows that the use of gamification and role play has a beneficial contribution to students' speaking skills. Keywords: Gamification, Role Play. Speaking Skill

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of employee commitment, organizational culture and the spirit on employee performance at Maxi Hotel Restaurant and Spa Legian. Questionnaires are distributed to 94 respondents who are all members of the population. This study uses regression analysis techniques with hypothesis testing using T test and F test. The results of the T test shows that employee commitment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Maxi Hotel Restaurant and Spa Legian. This is proof by the results of the analysis showing the value of the regression coefficient X1(b1) tcount = 4.694 > ttable (0.05:89) = 1.66 and sig t = 0.002 (p < 0.05). Organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Maxi Hotel Restaurant and Spa Legian. This is proof by the results of the analysis showing the value of the regression coefficient X2(b2) tcount = 9.984 > ttable (0.05:89) = 1.66 and sig t = 0.000 (p <0.05). Morale has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Maxi Hotel Restaurant and Spa Legian employees. This is proof by the results of the analysis showing the value of the regression coefficient X3(b3) tcount = 11.987 > ttable (0.05:89) = 1.66 and sig t = 0.000 (p <0.05). Employee commitment, organizational culture and their morale have a positive and significant impact on the performance of Maxi Hotel Restaurant and Spa Legian employees. This is proof by the results of the analysis showing the regression coefficient value Fcount = 180,487 > Ftable (0.05:2:89) = 3.10 and sig F = 0.000 (p <0.05). The work spirit has variable on greatly influences the performance of Maxi Hotel Restaurant and Spa Legian employees with the largest Beta regression coefficient among other independent variables, namely 0.540, organizational culture variable with a value of 0.477 and employee commitment variable with a value of 0.320. Abstract

Language is an important aspect of communication, and is a tool for expressing ourself, thoughts and ideas. Currently, people are required to master a foreign language, one of the most widely used languages is English. In mastering English, as well as learning languages in general, it has been divided into five skills, namely speaking, listening, writing, reading, and structure/ grammar. One of the skills discussed in this study is speaking (pronunciation of vowels) in the practice of handling telephone calls. In this study, data collection was collected by using the observation method and the data analyzed in this study were qualitative data. The data was obtained from 20 students of Triatma Mulya University who were taking English course in Post Intermediate Level. Then the data was processed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. During the learning process, students experience problems in pronouncing English. This can be seen in the pronunciation of vowel sounds that are not in accordance with the pronunciation standards in English especially vowel pronunciation such as /É”/ which becomes /a/, vowel /É’/ which becomes /o/, /i:/ which becomes /e/, and vowel /u:/ which becomes /o/. In addition to students' English pronunciation, during the learning process several obstacles were also found, such as barriers from linguistic factors, barriers to mastery of content components including topics, content structure, content quality, and content quantity. Abstract

The people of Denpasar City and its surroundings need green open space to release fatigue after busy activities. One of these open spaces is obtained at Puputan Badung I Gusti Ngurah Made Agung Field which has tourism potential both natural, historical, cultural and man-made tourism to continue to be developed into a family tourist attraction in Denpasar City, Bali. The existence of this field is supported by various parties, both local communities, tourists to the Denpasar City Government with the existence of Denpasar City Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2019 concerning the Regional Tourism Development Master Plan for 2018-2029. The tangible manifestation of the role of the Denpasar City government to realize Puputan Badung Field as a Family Tourism Attraction is reflected in the existence of 4A elements (attraction, Atraction, Amenity, Accessibility, and Ancillary) that are adequate to date. In this study, data collection was carried out by means of literature studies, documentation and observation. The data analysis technique is carried out using the qualitative descriptive method. The results of this research, it can be concluded that Puputan Badung I Gusti Ngurah Made Agung Field meets the needs of the community for family tourism attraction. Abstract

In an effort to win business competition, companies must have the right marketing strategy for their products. This study aims to analyze the Effect of Product Quality and Price on Purchasing Decisions at Juice Time Dalung, Badung. Data collection techniques by conducting surveys and interviews. Sampling using the purposive sampling method, namely consumers who have purchased Juice Time products with an age range of 15-45 years and a large sample of 90 respondents. The variables used are product quality variables (X1) and price variables (X2), as well as purchase decision variables (Y). The research method uses multiple linear regression analysis, namely t test and f test with the help of SPSS version 24 for windows. Based on the results of the study, the regression equation Y = -0.508 + 0.484X1 + 0.030X2 was obtained. The hypothetical decision obtained states that partially the product quality variable has a significant effect on the purchase decision, the price variable does not have a significant influence on the purchase decision. However, simultaneously these two variables have a significant influence on the purchase decision of Juice Time Dalung, Badung products. Abstract

In the global tourism sector, food and beverage menus no longer play a supporting role. In contrast, food occupies a central position both in determining tourists' decision-making to travel and vacation experiences. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of popularity of the menu and the profit level of the menu at Mawar Saron Restaurant. In addition, this study also aims to determine what marketing strategies are appropriate to use to increase sales results according to the menu category. The data analysis technique used in this study is the engineering menu analysis technique which consists of 12 steps. The results of research on the Mawar Saron Restaurant in Puri Saron Seminyak can be seen that 32% or 16 menu items of the entire ala carte menu offered belong to the star menu class (popular and profitable), 26% or 13 menu items belong to the Plowhorse menu class (popular but unprofitable). ) and 20% or 10 menu items belong to the Puzzle menu class (less popular but profitable). While 22% or 11 menu items belong to the Dog menu class (less popular and less profitable). Management policies implemented in increasing food sales are maintaining food quality and price for the star group, increasing food quality and selling price of food for the plowhorse group, improving food raw materials so as to reduce food prices for the puzzle group and evaluating materials, services, promotions and food prices for the dog category. Abstract

Staycation is a strategy used by accommodation providers in Bali to increase room occupancy rates. Staycation travelers, are local people, also take tour packages to spend time with family, self-healing for those who are not married, and even for those who work remotely. This study aims to analyze staycation offers during the low season or when the Covid-19 Pandemic hit Indonesia, especially the island of Bali which relies on tourism to support the movement of its economic sector. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative by conducting in-depth interviews with 5 (five) staycation tourism connoisseurs who are doing staycation at least 3 (three) times during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The results of this study state that it is proven that staycation is a complementary tourism during the Covid-19 Pandemic or in the Low Season, because local people / tourists who have contributes high numbers to the room occupancy rate in Bali. The relatively cheaper price that can be paid by local tourists compared to domestic or foreign tourists, but can still pay for the operational costs of accommodation service providers which have a positive impact on the tourism sector which is able to boost the economic sector on the island of Bali in particular. This complementary tourism is expected to reduce dependence on foreign tourists and can provide new appreciation for local/domestic tourists and can be relied upon as a promotional strategy not only during the Covid-19 Pandemic, but beyond.
