Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and quality management on improving the performance of educational institutions. The method used was qualitative research with a case study approach in several educational institutions that have implemented transformational leadership and quality management systems. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that transformational leadership applied by principals was able to create a positive organizational culture, increase teacher and staff motivation, and encourage innovation in the learning process. The systematic implementation of quality management contributed to increased operational effectiveness and achievement of educational quality standards. The combination of these two factors resulted in significant institutional performance improvements, reflected in increased student academic achievement, stakeholder satisfaction, and institutional accreditation. The conclusion of this study indicated that the synergy between transformational leadership and quality management was the key to success in improving the performance of educational institutions in the current competitive era.

Abstract

STRENGTHENING TEACHER COMPETENCE THROUGH EDUCATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT: CONCEPTUAL ANALYSIS AND IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGYImproving teacher competence is a key factor in enhancing the overall quality of education. This article aims to analyze the integration of educational administration and human resource management (HRM) as a comprehensive approach to strengthening teacher competence. Using a literature review method, this study examines concepts, principles, and empirical findings related to the role of educational administration in policy formulation, program planning, supervision, and evaluation of teacher development, alongside HRM functions such as human resource planning, recruitment, selection, training, performance appraisal, and work motivation. The findings indicate that integrating these two disciplines creates a more effective and sustainable framework for teachers’ professional development. Educational administration provides structural and strategic direction, while HRM ensures that teachers are managed as human capital through systematic development processes. Implementation challenges identified include budget limitations, managerial capacity gaps, weak collaborative culture, and suboptimal use of data for decision-making. This article concludes that the synergy between educational administration and HRM is a relevant and strategic approach to strengthening teacher competence in schools.

Abstract

THE INFLUENCE OF CATHOLIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AND CHARACTER COURSES ON STUDENTS' RELIGIOUS CHARACTER AT SANA BERNADETH KEMBES CATHOLIC MIDDLE SCHOOLThis study aims to determine the effect of Catholic Religious Education and Ethics subjects on the religious character of students at Sta. Bernadeth Kembes Catholic Junior High School. Bernadeth Kembes Catholic Junior High School. The background of this research is based on the importance of Catholic religious education and ethics in shaping the character of religious, moral and faithful students. The subjects of Catholic Religious Education and Ethics are seen as strategic in integrating the values of faith, love, and responsibility in the educational process. The research method used is quantitative method with survey technique. The research sample amounted to 68 students determined through the Slovin formula from a total population of 82 students. The research instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques and simple linear regression through the help of the SPSS application. The results showed that the implementation of Catholic Religious Education and Ethics subjects and religious character were in the very good category. The results of the regression analysis showed a positive and significant influence between Catholic Religious Education and Ethics subjects on religious character, with a coefficient of determination of 74.6%. This finding shows that the subjects of Catholic Religious Education and Ethics make a major contribution in shaping students who are religious, moral, and have integrity.

Abstract

IDENTIFICATION OF STUDENTS' LEARNING MOTIVATION TOWARDS CHEMISTRY LEARNING USING THE PBL-BASED NEARPOD APPLICATION AND CHEMO EDUTAIMENTThis study aims to identify students' learning motivation in chemistry learning using the Nearpod application integrated with Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and the Chemo Edutainment approach. Chemistry is often considered a difficult subject because the material is abstract, full of calculations, and requires high analytical skills. This condition makes many students less motivated and inactive in the learning process. Therefore, a learning model is needed that can increase student motivation, interest, and engagement through a more interactive and enjoyable learning experience. The research method used is a quantitative method with data collection through a learning motivation questionnaire. The questionnaire instrument covers several important aspects, namely intrinsic motivation, interest in the material, curiosity, confidence in understanding concepts, and student learning efforts during the learning process. The integration of Nearpod in learning allows teachers to present chemistry content digitally through interactive quizzes, experimental videos, simulations, and direct collaboration. Meanwhile, PBL provides opportunities for students to solve authentic problems, and Chemo Edutainment presents educational entertainment elements such as animations and engaging visual experiments. The results show that the use of Nearpod combined with PBL and Chemo Edutainment significantly increases student learning motivation. This is evident in increased active participation, student enthusiasm for each activity, and deeper understanding of concepts. These findings demonstrate that utilizing digital technology and innovative learning methods can be an effective solution for improving motivation and the quality of chemistry learning in schools.

Abstract

THE EFFECT OF CANVA'S MEDIA-ASSISTED PROJECT-BASED LEARNING MODEL ON THE EXPOSITION TEXT WRITING SKILLS OF CLASS X STUDENTS OF SMA NEGERI 2 SAWAHLUNTO This study aims to describe and analyze the influence of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by Canva media on the expository text writing skills of 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Sawahlunto. This research focuses on three aspects: expository text writing skills without using PjBL assisted by Canva media, expository text writing skills using PjBL assisted by Canva media, and the influence of the PjBL model assisted by Canva media on students' expository text writing skills. This type of research is quantitative with an experimental method. The research design used in this study is the Control-Only Group Posttest Design. The sample in this study consisted of 36 people. The sample was selected based on the purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study used two class groups: an experimental class and a control class. Based on data analysis and discussion, three things were concluded. First, the skill of writing expository texts using the project-based learning model assisted by Canva media for class X students at SMA Negeri 2 Sawahlunto is at the Good (B) qualification with an average of 84.26. Second, the skill of writing expository texts without using the project-based learning model assisted by Canva media for class X students at SMA Negeri 2 Sawahlunto is at the More Than Sufficient (LdC) qualification with an average of 68.27. Third, the results of the hypothesis test conducted show that t-count t-table (6.03 1.69) at a significance level of a = 0.05 and a confidence level of 95%. This indicates that there is a significant influence in the use of the project-based learning model assisted by Canva media on the skill of writing expository texts for class X students at SMA Negeri 2 Sawahlunto.

Abstract

ANALYSIS OF SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT OF @EVENTBYINDONESIA AT VISI AGIA GLOBALThe rapid growth of social media has encouraged many brands and organizations to utilize digital platforms as strategic tools for information dissemination and brand building. One of them is the Instagram account @eventbyindonesia, managed by Visi Agia Global (VAG), which focuses on providing information about events, festivals, and creative activities across various cities in Indonesia. This study aims to describe the management process of the account using the SOME Model (Share, Optimize, Manage, Engage) as the analytical framework. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, in-depth interviews, active participation during the internship period, and documentation analysis. The findings show that in the Share stage, the account has successfully built basic interaction through engaging captions and the use of seven content pillars. However, the dominance of static poster-based content limits the shareability and emotional appeal of the posts. In the Optimize stage, the team monitors trending topics, analyzes audience insights with the help of Hootsuite, and adjusts communication styles, although open two-way conversations remain limited. The Manage stage becomes the most consistently implemented aspect, reflected through regular monitoring, quick responses, and real-time interactions such as reposts and live event coverage through Instagram Stories. In the Engage stage, the account has collaborated with event organizers and several influencers, which has proven effective in increasing reach and engagement, although such collaborations are still not frequentOverall, the management of @eventbyindonesia has been effective in disseminating event information and building public awareness. Nevertheless, further improvements are needed in strengthening two-way interactions, diversifying content formats, and expanding collaboration strategies to enhance sustainable engagement.

Abstract

THE EFFECT OF FINANCIAL LITERACY AND FINANCIAL INCLUSION ON THE FINANCIAL BEHAVIOR OF GENERATION-Z AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MUHAMMADIYAH SURAKARTA WITH FINANCIAL SELF-EFFICACYThis study aims to thoroughly examine the influence of financial literacy and financial inclusion on the financial attitudes of Generation Z students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, with financial self-efficacy acting as an intervening variable. A quantitative research approach was employed by distributing questionnaires to 101 respondents, and the collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). This analytical method enabled the researcher to assess both direct and indirect relationships among the variables comprehensively. The findings reveal that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on financial self-efficacy as well as on financial attitudes. Moreover, financial literacy exerts a significant indirect influence on financial attitudes through financial self-efficacy, indicating that confidence in managing finances serves as an essential mechanism that strengthens the role of financial knowledge in shaping responsible financial behavior. Meanwhile, financial inclusion demonstrates a positive and significant impact on financial attitudes but does not significantly affect financial self-efficacy. Therefore, financial self-efficacy does not mediate the relationship between financial inclusion and financial attitudes. Overall, the results emphasize the importance of improving financial literacy and enhancing financial self-efficacy to foster wiser and more responsible financial behaviors among Generation Z students. Continuous financial education and broader access to financial services are crucial to support students in making informed and accountable financial decisions.

Abstract

STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT IN OVERCOMING THE SHORTAGE OF UMMI METHOD TEACHERS BASED ON MOTHER-TONGUE APPROACH AT MI AL ISHLAH BOBOS CIREBONThis study aims to describe the managerial strategies implemented by MI Al-Ishlah Bobos Cirebon, in overcoming the shortage of human resources (HR) of teachers in the implementation of the mother tongue-based Ummi Method at MI Al-Ishlah Bobos Cirebon. The results of our observations and data collection on the implementation of the mother tongue-based Ummi method show various phenomena that occur. Among these phenomena, we take one of the phenomena, namely the limited number of teachers certified by the Ummi Method and the low ability of some teachers in implementing the principles of talaqqi and tartil, resulting in less than optimal learning of the Ummi method at MI Al-Ishlah Bobos Cirebon. The Ummi method was chosen because it emphasizes a mother tongue approach, direct reading, repetition, and affection, which are believed to improve students' reading skills. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the institution implemented several managerial strategies, namely: (1) mentor-based internal training; (2) mentoring by the Ummi Foundation in the Cirebon region; (3) recruitment of local mother tongue teachers; (4) integration of mother tongue in Qur'an learning; and (5) routine coaching. These strategies have proven effective in improving teacher competence and the quality of students' Qur'an recitation. These findings indicate that the use of mother tongue can be a contextual solution in managing Qur'an learning in Islamic madrasas, especially when faced with limited human resources.

Abstract

LITERATURE STUDY ON THE ROLE OF TEACHERS IN STUDENT DEVELOPMENT One of the current educational challenges is the suboptimal role of teachers in developing the potential of all students, particularly in the digital era, which demands higher pedagogical skills and technological literacy. This study aims to review and analyze the strategic role of teachers by examining previous research related to students' cognitive, social-emotional, character, and learning motivation development. Through a literature review, this study identifies how teachers contribute to creating an effective, adaptive, and student-centered learning process. The analysis shows that teachers play a crucial role as facilitators who provide a supportive learning environment, as motivators who foster learning interest, as mentors who guide social-emotional development, and as role models in character development. However, teachers also face challenges, such as low digital literacy, lack of student motivation, and difficulties in balancing academic learning and character development. This study confirms that improving teacher professionalism, including digital skills and a student-centered learning approach, significantly impacts the success of student development. Furthermore, collaboration between teachers, parents, and the school environment is a crucial factor in supporting student development holistically.

Abstract

Integration of Islamic Values in Digital Governance at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al MufasirThe development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the education management system, including in the Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) environment. Digitalization is now a key element in the governance of educational institutions, demanding efficiency, transparency, and data-driven accountability. However, as Islamic educational institutions, madrasas have a responsibility to ensure that digital transformation remains grounded in Islamic moral and spiritual values. This study aims to explore the application of Islamic digital ethics principles in digital governance at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al Mufasir, Jln. Gandasoja No. 41, Sukamantri Village, Paseh District, Bandung Regency. The focus of the study includes the internalization of the values of amanah (responsibility), shiddiq (honesty), ‘adl (justice), and ihsan (professionalism) in various aspects of digital management such as the Madrasah Information System, online learning, and application-based administration. The results of the study indicate that the integration of these Islamic values not only improves the efficiency and quality of digital governance but also strengthens institutional ethics and the religious character of all madrasah members. Thus, digitalization at MTs Al Mufasir is not merely a technological instrument, but also a means of preaching and fostering noble character. This research is expected to serve as a reference in developing an Islamic digital governance model based on Islamic values (Islamic Digital Governance Model) at other Islamic educational institutions.
