Abstract

This research is committed by the aim to know the effectiveness in teaching reading skills after being taught by vocabulary note card technique. It used a pre-experimental design as the method, and there are 20 students as the sample of this study. The result shows that the average achievement of the students' pre-test was 59%. Pre-test values had succeeded out of criteria minimum value ≥65% were five students (25%) of 20 students. And the post-test value of students obtained the average achievement was 77, 50%. It was successful of criteria minimum value. The N-Gain score was 15 students of 20 students getting medium category. Five students of other were two students getting the high type and three students getting a low variety. The final arithmetic that determined the result of pre-test and a post-test score of paired sample t-test formula on the SPSS program indicated that the value of sig (2-tailed) was 0,000. The critical value used 5%= 0.05 as the level of significance. It means the formula of Paired Sample T-Test had obtained the value of sig (2-tailed) was lesser than the critical of value (0,000<0, 05). It was the significance of pre-test and post-test scores. Finally, it can be said that the teacher can use this technique as one of the learning techniques.

Abstract

The study was educational Research and Development (R & D). The procedure of the study was conducting need analysis, material development, expert validation, revision I, try out, revision II, and the final steps are the final product. The instruments of the study were questionnaires and interview guidelines. Respondents are the teacher of the English lesson and students of tenth-grade senior high school Islam Parlaungan Waru. The result shows that the students needed interesting additional writing materials. The product of this supplementary writing material is entitled Write for Future. The study guide book is completed with a warming up, discussion, and practice. The additional English writing materials book consists of four chapters. Each chapter has a topic that is different from one another. Those are 'You Also Need To See A Doctor for the first topic, "Let Me Tell You" for the second topic 'When I Visit My Viillage' for the third topic, and 'Let's Makes Brownies' for the last topic. It can be seen as the result of the process. As a result, the supplementary English writing materials using Contextual teaching and learning have been appropriate with the tenth-grade senior high school students' needs

Abstract

This research is aimed to develop a supplementary English Speaking Material Based On Communicative Language Teaching for VIII Grade of MTs Putra Putri Lamongan. It concerns how to provide speaking material based on Communicative Language Teaching for English teaching and learning. The researcher used Educational Research and Development, and the procedures are (1) Need analysis. (2) Developing material. (3) Expert Validation. (4) product revision I (5) Try-out (6) product revision II (7) Final Product. The product is a supplementary English speaking material entitled 'Speak Up with Pronunciation.' Abstract

The Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) technique for teaching reading comprehension in a recount text environment is the subject of this study. Cooperative learning necessitates that students collaborate on a shared goal and coordinate their efforts. The study used a pre-experimental pretest-posttest design. Surabaya junior high students provided the samples. The result reveals that the value (2-tailed) is 0,000, indicating that the CIRC approach has a positive impact on pupils' reading comprehension. The mean of the pre-test experiment group was 50.00, while the standard of the post-test experiment group was 80'00. Students who were taught the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) technique outperformed those who were taught alternative strategies.

Abstract

Writing skill is very important in the current era, yet writing is one of the most challenging skills to master. Consequently, the Teacher should be innovative in teaching writing in the English learning process for their students. This research aims to find out the effectiveness of Poster Comment in increasing students" ability to write Recount text. The research method of this study uses a quasi-experimental design. The alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted, and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. It indicates that the Poster Comment method applied in the Experimental class effectively increased students'" ability to write recount text. The Poster Comment method was more effective in teaching writing recount text in second grade than the conventional method (lecturing).

Abstract

This study focuses on English vocabulary teaching and learning. Vocabulary as all words in a language, the richness of words possessed by a speaker or writer, words used in a field of science, a list of words arranged like a dictionary, and practical and brief explanations. The study uses a pre-experimental research design, one group pretest-posttest. The result1 shows the students' Mean pretest score was 55,3333, and the posttest score was 78,3333. It shows that the posttest score (after giving Flashcards treatment) was higher than the pretest score (before treatment). The researcher obtains that t-value -6,965 was more elevated than t-table 2,131 in the significant level 0,05.

Abstract

This study was aimed to know the method used in Teaching Public Speaking at Kind English Course Pare-Kediri. The method used in this case was descriptive qualitative research. It means that the data gotten were described qualitatively. The researcher conducted the research in public speaking class at Kind English Course. The researcher used purposive sampling and took Public Speaking class as the participants because this class is the most wanted class. This is the only class in Kind English Course that holds the placement test in accepting the students. The class is always full in every period, and so many people say that Public Speaking class is one of the recommended classes. The researcher got the result from the observation, interview, and documentation as well as interview with the teacher that teaching learning process in the class is run well. In the teaching learning process, the teacher prepared the material well and explained the material using various methods. Subsequently, the evaluation was done every day after students performed their speech. Furthermore, the way the teacher teaches, the method used, the material and the environment become a complete package that Kind English Course offers to develop the student speaking ability.

Abstract

Some students find writing exercises boring, especially in English writing. So, one way to make students more motivated to write is to use games. One of the games is a chain card game. The subjects of this study were students of class VII B MTs Al-Ihsan. The results showed that the card game chain proved to be useful in learning to write English. From the results of the paired sample t test analysis shows that sig. the value is 0.000. Lower than the significance level (α) = 0.05 with degrees of freedom (df) = N-1 and the number of subjects (N) is 12 students. According to the value of sig. (2-tails) is 0.000. Given the basic concept of testing the hypothesis that if sig. (2-tailed) is smaller than (α) = 0.05, meaning that the hypothesis (H1) is accepted while the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the Chain Card Game on the writing skills of the seventh-grade students of MTS al-ihsan

Abstract

This evaluation aims to evaluate the implementation and progress of the research learning activity program achieved by students at MTsN 2 Kota Kediri for the 2019/2020 school year. The Madrasah Tsanawiyah educational institution cannot be separated from several obstacles. Based on the information obtained, the implementation of research learning activities has not been maximized, such as infrastructure is inadequate, responsibility, and student discipline is still lacking. The evaluators see the many benefits and obstacles of implementing this program activity so that they can provide suggestions or input in the future. This evaluation uses the CIPP evaluation model on the Context, Input, Processes, and Product aspects. Carry out four-month activities from August 23 - to December 18, 2020. The results of this evaluation are (1) Evaluation Context legality of research learning based on the Decree of the Director-General of Islamic Education Number 6757 of 2020 concerning the designation of madrasas as research providers in Indonesia. (2) Input Evaluation, The main madrasah facilities are quite adequate. Unless the human resources component is inadequate, it is necessary to add additional teaching staff. (3) Evaluation Processes, which consist of lesson planning, learning implementation, learning assessment, and project documents, have gone well and according to the criteria. (4)EvaluationThe results follow the criteria for evaluating the value of research learning above the KKM and are categorized as good. In terms of management, MTsN 2 Kota Kediri already has an activity program plan and a good priority scale to implement the activity program. An organizational structure and job descriptions have been prepared, and an evaluation of scheduled activities.
