Implementation of service activities also involves the participation of the community and partners. Service activities are organized into an activity aimed at improving the welfare of society. Abstract

Adolescence is a critical phase in life, marked by the transition from childhood to adulthood, known as puberty. One of the physiological changes experienced by adolescent girls is Menarche or the first menstruation. Lack of understanding about Menarche can cause anxiety and negative reactions, both psychologically and physically. Health education is essential to equip young girls with the necessary knowledge to face these changes. This community service activity was conducted on January 8, 2025, at SDN 02 Labuhan Sumbawa, aiming to enhance the readiness of 5th and 6th-grade female students in facing Menarche and puberty. The method used was counseling through posters and interactive discussions. Posters were chosen as an educational medium due to their visual nature, making the information more accessible and understandable for children. The results of this activity showed an increase in students' understanding of Menarche and puberty, reducing excessive anxiety among them. Education using posters proved effective in delivering health information and helping young girls prepare for bodily changes with a more positive attitude.

Abstract

Character building is essential to personal and societal development, particularly for the younger generation, which will shape the future. However, the rapid advancement of technology and exposure to negative influences pose challenges in fostering individuals with strong integrity and resilience. This Community Service Program (PKM) utilizes the educational film Sang Penantang as a medium to instill moral values in the youth of Pakang Village, Andong District, Boyolali Regency. The program integrates film screenings, interactive discussions, and self-reflection activities to enhance participants' understanding of perseverance, honesty, and determination. This activity was conducted on February 16, 2025. The program implementation involved several stages: socialization, film screenings, group discussions, and individual reflections. The results indicate a significant improvement in the participants' comprehension and application of character values in daily life. Many expressed increased awareness of the importance of integrity, responsibility, and persistence. The success of this initiative highlights the potential of educational films as an effective tool for character education. Future programs may expand through collaborations with academic institutions and youth organizations to ensure a broader and more sustainable impact.

Abstract

This community service program focuses on empowering women in the development of the Sharia economy in Kedungdowo Village, Andong District, Boyolali Regency. The program is implemented in February 2025 with the aim of enhancing women's understanding and skills in managing Sharia-based finances and developing micro-businesses in accordance with Islamic economic principles. Through a participatory approach and practical training, participants receive materials and intensive mentoring to apply Sharia financial concepts in their daily lives. The success of this program is measured by the improvement in participants' understanding of the Sharia economy, their financial management skills, and the growth of their micro-businesses after attending the training. Evaluations show that 50 participants experienced significant progress in these aspects, as reflected in better financial management practices and the sustainability of their businesses. With these positive results, this program is expected to serve as a sustainable model for women's empowerment based on the Sharia economy in other regions.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of online gaming among students, often linked to online gambling sponsorships, has raised concerns about financial literacy among young individuals. The Indonesian Teachers Association (PGSI) reported that 12,000 students were involved in online gaming with gambling sponsorship, highlighting the urgent need for financial education. Lack of financial literacy makes students vulnerable to the allure of quick wealth promised by online gambling platforms. Therefore, introducing investment knowledge, particularly in Sharia mutual funds, is essential to prevent financial mismanagement. This community engagement program was conducted at Al-Ihsan Vocational High School on February 1, 2024 with 91 participants. The program consisted of two sessions: the first session covered financial investment education, while the second session involved interactive discussions and hands-on practice in online Sharia mutual fund transactions. The objective was to equip students with fundamental investment knowledge, enabling them to make informed financial decisions. By providing structured financial education and training, this initiative aims to foster a generation of financially literate young investors. The long-term goal is to empower students to manage their finances wisely, mitigating the risks associated with online gambling and enhancing their economic resilience.

Abstract

Hypertension and gout are common among the elderly, negatively affecting their quality of life. Preventive measures are essential to avoid complications that may worsen with age. This community service activity aimed to educate the elderly on preventing hypertension and gout using family medicinal plants, such as roselle, butterfly pea flower, and bay leaves. The program took place on November 29–30, 2024, in Curah Cottok Village, Situbondo, using lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice in planting and processing herbal plants. Thirty-two participants, including elderly individuals and health volunteers, actively participated. The results showed an increased understanding among participants regarding the benefits of medicinal plants as a preventive measure for diseases. The program also encouraged the use of household land for growing herbal plants that are beneficial to health. This initiative is expected to enhance public awareness and foster self-reliance in maintaining health naturally and sustainably.

Abstract

Pagerungan Besar Village is one of the villages in the Sapeken District with outstanding natural resource potential. This community service activity is essential, as many housewives still require financial literacy, particularly in managing household finances effectively. Two primary issues are identified: the lack of understanding of financial reports and the inability to prepare them. This activity aims to educate housewives on the benefits of financial reporting and offer training on creating financial reports. The activity was conducted on Monday, October 7, 2024, with 20 housewives participating. The socialization and training were held at a resident's house located on Jl. H. Mohammad Said, Pagerungan Besar Village, Sapeken District, Sumenep Regency. The method used was deemed appropriate for addressing the existing problems. The program consisted of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Based on the outcomes observed during the activity, there was a noticeable improvement in the participants' understanding of simple financial reporting.

Abstract

Entering old age, the elderly will experience a decline in body function both physically and psychologically. This decline can result in a decrease in the physical ability of the elderly in carrying out their daily activities and activities and for this reason the elderly become dependent on others. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of caregivers with health education or counseling methods and physical examination simulations for the elderly who experience health problems. This activity was carried out in August 2025 with a population of 71 caregivers working at the Santo Yosef Werdha Home. The number of participants who attended was 45 people. The instrument used in this activity was a questionnaire that was distributed and filled out before and after the provision of material by the resource person. The results showed that most caregivers before being given the material showed that the level of knowledge was not good, as many as 24 people (53%). After the provision of material, there was an increase in the level of knowledge with the results being mostly in the good category, as many as 38 people (84%). The need for caregiver understanding and skills in caring for and nurturing the elderly through counseling and training can increase the level of caregiver knowledge and have an impact on the quality of care provided to the elderly.

Abstract

The digitalization of education has become both a challenge and an opportunity for educators to improve the quality of learning. One innovative solution that can be implemented is the use of Miro as an interactive learning tool. This community service activity aims to implement Miro as a teaching medium for teachers at SMAK Thomas Aquino using a Design Thinking approach. The methods used include interviews, observations, training sessions, and evaluations of Miro's effectiveness in classroom instruction. The main training session was held on December 20, 2024, with 19 teachers participating. The results show that most participants experienced an increased understanding of technology use in teaching and felt more confident in adopting digital-based learning methods. The success indicators of this activity include improved digital literacy among teachers, ease of using the Miro application, and increased awareness of the potential of technology as a teaching aid. One teacher stated that the application was very helpful in teaching and felt familiar due to its similarities with commonly used platforms such as Google Docs. Despite some initial challenges in logging in and adapting to the platform, the mentoring-based approach proved effective in helping teachers understand Miro’s core features. The implementation of interactive technologies like Miro can be a viable solution to enhance student engagement and learning effectiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase sales by 45% within three months compared to the previous quarter, through enhanced customer satisfaction and loyalty by optimizing service quality at Kedai Om Bew & Billiard, located at Ruko Marco, Jatiluhur, Jatiasih District, Bekasi City, West Java. The activity adopts an action research approach, focusing on employee training to improve service skills and monitoring customer satisfaction through surveys and direct observation. The evaluation of human resource strategies is carried out in cycles, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results indicate that service quality improvement significantly contributes to customer satisfaction, increasing from 46.5% to 93%, and repeat purchases reach 92%. Thus, improving service quality has proven effective in building customer loyalty and supporting sales growth at Kedai Om Bew & Billiard.

Abstract

Digital marketing is a promotional strategy using digital media that significantly enhances students’ entrepreneurial skills. A lack of practical skills, including product marketing, often causes high unemployment among high school graduates. This training aimed to equip students of SMA Santo Yoseph, Cakung, East Jakarta, with knowledge and skills in digital marketing. The method used was a participatory training approach, beginning with initial observation and coordination with the school, then the material presentation and hands-on practice. Students were divided into groups to create social media accounts, design promotional content, and upload recycled products to digital platforms. Facilitators provided technical guidance throughout the practical sessions. The activity concluded with evaluation and discussion sessions to assess students’ understanding and the impact of the training. Previously, students had learned how to transform used materials into finished products but could not market them. Through this training, it is expected that students will develop an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to utilize digital media as a marketing tool.
