Abstract

This study intends to investigate the effects of conscious and unconscious processes on crypocurrency investment intention. The impact of personal cultural values, profit expectations, and religiosity on intentions for hazardous investments was examined within this paradigm. Additionally, the mediating function of profit expectations in the association between a person's cultural values and religion for crypocurrency investment intents was also examined. Additionally, the topic of religion as a mediator of profit expectations and crypocurrency investing purpose was covered. When our graduate students willingly shared the online survey link on their social networks between February and July 2022, the data were gathered. In all, 446 people responded to the questionnaire in this manner. The AMOS programme was used to carry out structural equation modelling (SEM), which was used to test the research model. In addition to these, the effects of age, education level, sex, and marital status on individual cultural values and investment intentions were examined. The age group of 41 to 50 years old had the highest uncertainty avoidance level. People above the age of 41 had the highest level of long-term orientation. The 51-year-old age group had the least risky investing objectives. Age did not influence collectivism or power distance. The amount of schooling had no impact on any variations in the pertinent variables. Intention to take risks, power distance, masculinity, and collectivism are all greater in men than in women, and married people are more likely to avoid uncertainty and to identify as men than unmarried people. This study is the first to examine the combined effect of conscious and unconscious processes on cryptocurrency investing intentions. The authors have also offered evidence for the presence of a link between these three factors. On the other hand, the number of empirical studies examining the relationship between profit expectancy, religion, and investment intention in cryptocurrency is rather small.

Abstract

Within the purview of influencing factors, due consideration is given to the adoption of technology and the role played by external assistance. Moreover, this study underscores the crucial function of business continuity as a mediating factor in this intricate equation and the moderating influence of employee creativity. The primary objective of this research is to delve into the multifaceted elements that exert influence on the overall success of small and medium businesses (SMEs).  Employing a rigorous quantitative research approach, a carefully selected cohort of 109 respondents was drawn from the SME community. These respondents were sourced from the membership pool of a financial counseling group affiliated with PT. TASPEN (PERSERO), providing a comprehensive cross-section of perspectives and experiences. The insightful findings derived from this study corroborate the hypothesis that external assistance can indeed have a constructive impact on company performance. However, this influence is found to be channeled through the mediating role of SME business continuity, thus underscoring the importance of maintaining operational resilience and consistency. The research did not find conclusive evidence supporting a direct link between technological adoption and business success within the SME context, indicating that further investigation might be warranted to elucidate this relationship. Nonetheless, these findings provide valuable insights into the intricate web of factors influencing SME success and offer pertinent guidance for businesses aiming to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape.

Abstract

The Jakpreneur Program is a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) development program organized by the Jakarta Government, aimed at fostering entrepreneurship in MSMEs and facilitating MSME players. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on Jakarta, with the highest number of Covid cases, resulting in increased unemployment and a rise in self-employed individuals. The objective of this study is to investigate the performance differences, measured by profit, between MSMEs that participate and do not participate in the Jakpreneur program, which includes training, marketing, and licensing, by considering internal factors. This study uses data from food sector MSMEs provided by the Jakarta Provincial Office of Food Security, Marine and Agriculture Agency in the years 2020, 2021, and 2022. The results of the regression data analysis using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) show that in 2020 and 2021, the marketing and licensing programs have a significant positive influence on MSME profits, while in 2022, the training program has a significant positive influence on MSME profits. On internal factors, the number of workers, male gender and access to credit have a significant positive influence on MSME profits in all years.

Abstract

The current era of digitalization forces entrepreneurs to change their marketing strategy from direct sales to online sales, either in whole or in part. However, the transition is not easy for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises () because of the limitations of knowledge and facilities they have, so the process goes gradually. The study aims to find out the contribution of online marketing for micro-small enterprises to the resilience of enterprises during the restrictions that have lasted for two years. The study is also a policy recommendation against some digital policy directions against MSME by the Ministry of Informatics and Communications of the Republic of Indonesia. The research object is a member of  ISMEA (Indonesia Small Medium Enterprises Association), which meets the business age criteria of more than 2 years, actively performs hybrid sales (online and offline), and is able to survive during that time. Research methods are carried out qualitatively through descriptive, participatory observation. In-depth interviews were conducted with informants selected using snowball techniques. The results of the research found that online marketing on MSME is carried out through independent web hosting or through marketplace or e-commerce applications available or be used simultaneously. Self-marketing has the advantage that it does not require commission fees from the other party, so the entire profit becomes the seller's. However, it also has a weakness with its limited market accessibility as it requires costs to promote the site. While marketing through the marketplace has the advantages of the wide range of the market and the limitation of the promotion of the applicator, it also has disadvantages such as commission fees for applicators and price competition with providers of similar products or services in the same application or other applications. The conclusion obtained is that MSME is more familiar with using social media compared to the marketplace, in addition to the fact that web hosting is rarely used, even though it is free. The stages providing an appearance in the application require their own skills. While the direction of the marketing digitization policy on MSME that has been running for this time has begun to form a culture of marketing digitalization for micro and small enterprises, especially the use of the application for product delivery.
