Abstract

This study aimed at describing the implementation of the Dasa Dharma values in social studies learning and analyzing those implementations in terms of students’ social awareness. The study employed a qualitative method, gathering data through observation, interviews, and documentation. After acquiring the data, the model from Miles, Huberman, and Saldana was administered for analysis. The findings show that the implementation of the Dasa Dharma values in social studies learning was reflected in each process, that is, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Students’ attitude and behavior, specifically their willingness to assist their peers during class, their sensitivity to the social circumstances around them, and their ability to work well in groups, reflect the form or outcome of this implementation. This form of implementation represents the Dasa Dharma values related to social awareness, that is, values 2, 4, and 5. This research is novel in that it focuses on the Dasa Dharma values integrated into social studies learning to foster social awareness. This research can be used as a reference to demonstrate that Crandall's theory of social awareness is relevant for application in social studies learning, collaborating with the Dasa Dharma values.

Abstract

This study develops and evaluates the feasibility and effectiveness of the Gen-Smart digital learning media in enhancing learning motivation among lower secondary Social Studies students. The research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach utilizing the ADDIE framework, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Gen-Smart was designed using Canva AI, Google Sites, and Website2APK Builder Pro to ensure multi-platform access. Feasibility was evaluated through expert validation and student practicality surveys, while effectiveness was measured using pre-test and post-test scores analyzed with normalized gain (N-Gain). The results indicate a high feasibility level, with validation scores of 92% from the material expert and 89% from the media expert. Student practicality responses reached 83%, categorized as "very practical." The effectiveness analysis demonstrates a significant increase in learning motivation from a mean score of 40.17 (67%) to 53.87 (90%), with an N-gain value of 0.70 (high category). These findings indicate that Gen-Smart is a feasible and effective digital learning media for improving motivation in Social Studies learning and is recommended for wider instructional implementation.

Abstract

Deviant behavior in elementary schools such as bullying, harassment, and verbal or physical aggression reflects a moral crisis and weak social control within the learning environment. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a qualitative approach to analyze forms of deviant student behavior that threaten the school climate, identify their causal factors, and formulate effective prevention strategies. Thematic analysis of national and international studies reveals that such behavior is influenced by internal factors, including low emotional intelligence, empathy, and learning motivation, as well as external factors, such as authoritarian parenting, negative peer environments, and weak school supervision. These behaviors negatively impact academic achievement, psychological well-being, and students’ social adjustment. Effective prevention requires collaboration among schools, families, and communities through social-emotional learning programs, teacher training in behavior management, safe reporting mechanisms, and strict anti-bullying policies. The findings have practical implications for teachers and policymakers in Indonesia to strengthen character education, empathy, and moral reasoning within the curriculum and to promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.

Abstract

This research investigates how transformational leadership and intellectual intelligence influence Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), incorporating employee engagement acting as an intervening variable within the Kediri Regency Department of Manpower. The investigation utilizes a quantitative methodology characterized by an explanatory framework. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to all employees using a census sampling technique. Path analysis was employed to assess encompassing both immediate and mediate associations among the variables. The findings suggest that transformational leadership exerts a favorable but non-significant impact on employee engagement, while intellectual intelligence demonstrates a constructive and substantial influence. Furthermore, transformational leadership negatively affects OCB, whereas intellectual intelligence and employee engagement both have positive and significant impacts. Employee engagement functions as a mediating variable that strengthens the effect of transformational leadership on OCB. These findings emphasize the need to enhance employee engagement through inspirational leadership and the development of intellectual competence to encourage OCB within public institutions.

Abstract

The research seeks to examine the experience of the proprietor of CV.MALALA in achieving work-life balance amidst the demands of theconstruction industry. A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed to gather data via in-depth interviews and non-participatory observations. Research findings indicate that employment pressures stem from two primary factors: technical (complete readiness for projects, including during holidays) and administrative (bureaucratic intricacies in project compilation). Effective family communication and support can mitigate conflicts between professional and familial roles, which frequently arise. The employed coping mechanisms encompass spiritual practices (sholawatan, mosque involvement, detachment) and social support (reciprocal assistance among colleagues, familial support). Participants characterize work-life balance as a blend of professional and personal life that mutually reinforces each aspect, rather than as a separation. These findings reinforce role theory, conservation of resources theory, social support theory, and work-family enrichment theory, highlighting the significance of emotional, spiritual, and social equilibrium amidst work-related stress in the construction sector.

Abstract

Global environmental issues are inseparable from mangrove deforestation. Mangrove areas continue to decline every year, while mangrove ecosystems are the most efficient carbon capture and storage systems in the world, currently storing carbon equivalent to more than 21 billion tons of CO2. Mangroves protect communities from the impacts of climate change and generate income through ecotourism and their products. Therefore, their preservation needs to be a focus of the government and the entire community, and efforts must be made to conserve these areas. Kebun Raya Mangrove (KRM) is a mangrove conservation area in the center of Surabaya. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This study aims to identify, analyze, and describe the management of the Kebun Raya Mangrove Kota Surabaya so that it can be used as updated information and enrich studies related to the importance of conservation areas. The results of the study show the roles of several actors, including the Dinas Ketahanan Pangan dan Pertanian Kota Surabaya, NGOs, and the community.

Abstract

This study examines the institutional transformation of customary villages in Central Maluku, focusing on Tulehu and Haruku. It employs a critical qualitative approach using a case study method, combining in-depth interviews with customary leaders, Saniri members, village officials, and local government representatives, participatory observation in customary rituals and village administration, and analysis of official documents, village regulations, historical archives, and maps. Data were analyzed using critical discourse analysis, social mapping, and triangulation to understand the interactions between indigenous governance and state bureaucracy. The findings indicate that the transformation of adat institutions is a complex social process involving negotiations between customary values, state regulations, and identity politics. Both Tulehu and Haruku retain traditional structures—Raja (Upu), Saniri Negeri, and Soa—but differ in integration with formal administration. Tulehu maintains strong social and spiritual authority but faces limited documentation, overlapping territorial claims, and slower formal recognition. Haruku has systematically integrated adat and church norms into village governance, with clear boundaries and institutionalized structures. Interactions with the state are ambivalent: while legal recognition is granted, bureaucratic procedures constrain adat autonomy. Both communities adopt adaptive and collaborative strategies to sustain governance, including revitalizing deliberative forums, strengthening religious leadership, documenting territorial boundaries, and managing resources through traditional practices in coordination with government and church authorities. Overall, the study shows that adat transformation in Central Maluku represents a negotiation between preserving cultural identity and engaging with modern governance structures, highlighting the importance of both local autonomy and administrative alignment for sustainable indigenous law communities.

Abstract

This study is a bibliometric literature review of trends and paths in marketing management strategies between 1990 and 2025, which integrates 683 peer-reviewed articles to trace the intellectual development of the topic. We used VOSviewer to examine the existence of keywords and the cooperation of countries. The common topic groups that we identified included five aspects: AI-driven marketing, digital transformation, sustainability, consumer behavior in the digital environment, and methodological reflexivity. The findings indicate that the number of publications has grown significantly since 2005, and thinking has changed significantly. Integrated, technology-based, and ethically conscious product models have replaced traditional product models. Digital and AI-based marketing are highly mature, while the integration of sustainability is still new, particularly in developing economies. Scholars and professionals tend to collaborate in online environments; however, ethical regulations, longitudinal research, and the inclusion of geography remain issues. Geographic cooperation is still geographically concentrated in North America, Europe, and East Asia, which makes the whole world less representative. The added value of this review is the explanation of the stages of adoption, interdisciplinary convergence, and outlining the gaps in research that should be given the highest priority, especially within ethical AI, digital sustainability interaction, and situation-specific strategy implementation. The results provide useful theoretical proposals and practical recommendations for scholars and practitioners in the dynamic environment of future-ready marketing strategies.
