Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of Learning Motivation and Grit on Growth Mindset among senior high school students in the Anambas Islands. This research employed a quantitative method with a total population of 324 students and a sample of 235 respondents. The sampling technique used was probability sampling, and the data analysis technique applied was multiple regression analysis. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, the multiple regression analysis showed that the regression coefficient of the Learning Motivation variable (t-calculated) was 2.458, with a t-table value of 1.651. The significance value of Learning Motivation toward the related variable, Growth Mindset, was 0.000 < 0.05. Furthermore, the regression coefficient of the Grit variable (t-calculated) was 2.803, with a t-table value of 1.651, and the significance value of Grit toward Growth Mindset was 0.001 < 0.05. Additionally, based on the F-test results, the F-calculated value was 46.675, while the F-table value was 3.041, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.050. Thus, since F-calculated > F-table and the significance value is below 0.050, it can be concluded that Learning Motivation and Grit simultaneously have a significant influence on students’ Growth Mindset.

Abstract

This article discusses the integration of intellectual intelligence (IQ), morals, and learning achievement from the perspective of modern Islamic education. In the context of contemporary education, students’ academic success is generally measured based solely on cognitive ability, while spiritual and moral dimensions receive less attention. As a result, education tends to produce individuals who are intellectually competent but lacking in values and ethics. This study aims to examine the concept of holistic education based on Islamic values that balances cognitive and spiritual aspects in shaping students’ character and academic achievement. This research uses a literature review method by analyzing relevant scholarly sources, including modern psychological theories on IQ as well as Islamic educational thought from Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas and Imam al-Ghazali. The findings show that IQ plays an important role in academic performance, but it is not the only factor determining learning success. From an Islamic perspective, true success is achieved when intellectual intelligence (‘aql) is accompanied by moral maturity (khuluq), as emphasized in QS. Al-Mujadilah verse 11 and the hadith on the importance of knowledge with proper adab. Al-Attas’s concept of adab and Al-Ghazali’s process of tazkiyatun nafs affirm that true education aims to form individuals who are both intellectually capable and morally virtuous. Therefore, the paradigm of modern Islamic education needs to be directed toward an integrative-holistic learning model that combines cognitive, spiritual, and ethical dimensions to develop a generation that is high-achieving, well-mannered, and refined in character.

Abstract

Belawan waters are waters that directly lead to the waters of the Malacca Strait and are a human trafficking route that is frequently traversed by perpetrators. The existence of cases of human trafficking that occur in the Malacca Strait area will certainly have an impact on the security of the strait. There are three main principles of national security that could be threatened by cross-border cases, namely sovereignty, territorial integrity, political, social, economic and cultural sustainability. This research aims to examine the factors causing human trafficking through Belawan waters from a criminological perspective; to determine the forms of supervision and law enforcement in Indonesian waters in eradicating criminal acts of human trafficking and to examine obstacles to law enforcement of criminal acts of human trafficking through Indonesian waterways. This research method uses normative legal research. The data used is secondary data with primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials as research data sources. The data obtained comes from statutory regulations and developing legal theories related to human trafficking. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative analysis. The results of this research are the first that factors causing human trafficking through Belawan waters include internal factors consisting of economic influence (poverty), negligence of victims, authoritarian societal cultural factors, lack of expertise or skills of victims, low education, lack of job opportunities, lack of access to information and occupational risks. Meanwhile, external factors can be influenced by weak immigration control in a country, lack of coordination between immigration and the police and the Indonesian Navy in the Belawan waters. Second, that the form of supervision and law enforcement in Indonesian territorial waters is to eradicate criminal acts of human trafficking by carrying out penal efforts through law enforcement in accordance with Law Number 21 of 2007 and non-penal efforts by prioritizing preventive efforts. Third, that Obstacles law enforcement of criminal acts of trafficking in persons through Indonesian waterways, including weak supervision by the police and immigration which does not provide information on trafficking in persons; Community indifference in preventing human trafficking cases; The case handling process can take a relatively long time; Development of the Modus Operandi for the Crime of Human Trafficking; There is a condition that the victim does not know that he is being exploited or is a victim of human trafficking; Minimal budget for law enforcement officers.

Abstract

This research aims to explore womenpreneur adaptation strategies in facing crisis situations using a phenomenological approach. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews and then analyzed to reveal subjective experiences, adaptation patterns, and meanings constructed in their entrepreneurial journey. Research results show that womenpreneurs develop multidimensional adaptive strategies, including business innovation based on sustainability values, utilization of social networks and communities, and psychological resilience in managing dual-role pressures. These findings confirm that womenpreneurs not only survive, but make crises a momentum to grow and strengthen their entrepreneurial identity. The research contribution lies in enriching womenpreneurship literature through in-depth qualitative perspectives, as well as practical implications for formulating women empowerment policies, entrepreneurship training programs, and economic inclusion strategies that are more sensitive to the real needs and challenges of women business owners.

Abstract

The involvement of Notaries as public officials in money laundering practices is one of the methods used by criminals to disguise the origin of funds from criminal acts, such as corruption. Notaries are often used to prepare deeds of establishment of legal entities or purchase assets to obscure these illegal transactions. This research elucidates the duties borne by Notaries in conveying indications of atypical financial activities as an instrument for deterring money-laundering offenses. The issues examined encompass: (1) the normative framework governing the obligations and accountability of Notaries in submitting reports on anomalous financial dealings; (2) the delineation of criteria for such transactions that necessitate disclosure; and (3) the juridical repercussions imposed when Notaries neglect to report. The study employs a normative juridical method through a statutory and regulatory approach. Its findings reveal that the mandate to report is anchored in multiple legal instruments, including Law Number 8 of 2010 on the Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering, the Notary Law, Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation No. 9 of 2017, and PPATK Regulation No. 6 of 2021. The parameters for identifying suspicious financial transactions are articulated in Article 1 point 8 and Article 8 of Government Regulation Number 43 of 2015. When a Notary fails to submit such reports, they may incur administrative penalties as prescribed in Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation No. 61 of 2016 and the Notary Law.

Abstract

This inquiry seeks to determine the influence of digital literacy and fieldwork engagement on the employability competencies of SMK students. The study is situated within the broader discourse on enhancing adaptive graduate skills essential for navigating the complexities of contemporary labor markets under Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0. Utilizing a quantitative explanatory design, the investigation draws upon a population of 120 Grade XII students from three state-run vocational schools in East Java participating in Field Work Practice (PKL) programs. Data collection was conducted using a Likert-scale instrument, and subsequent analysis employed multiple linear regression facilitated by SPSS. The analysis demonstrates a statistically significant positive influence of digital literacy on employability skills (p = 0.000 < 0.05). An analogous positive and significant effect is observed for fieldwork practice (p = 0.001 < 0.05). Simultaneously, these two variables contributed 51.4% to the variation in SMK students' employability skills. These findings confirm that strengthening digital literacy and optimizing the implementation of internships are effective strategies for improving the job readiness and competitiveness of vocational school graduates in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to deeply analyze the role of the implementation of industrial class programs in Vocational High Schools in improving hard skills, soft skills, and graduates' work readiness through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The study was conducted using the PRISMA framework and utilized the Publish or Perish database to select relevant articles. A rigorous selection process resulted in eight primary Indonesian-language articles that met the inclusion criteria for comprehensive analysis. The study results indicate that research on industrial classes remains relatively limited, with a significant increase in publications only occurring after 2022. The effectiveness of this program is influenced by several important factors, such as close partnerships between schools and industry, curriculum alignment with workplace standards, educator competency, facility availability, and ongoing training and internships. However, challenges such as limited resources, curriculum synchronization, and suboptimal industry commitment remain major obstacles to its implementation. Overall, the findings of this study confirm that industrial classes play a strategic role in developing students' technical and non-technical skills, while also serving as a bridge between education and the workplace. This program has significant potential to strengthen the competencies and increase the competitiveness of vocational high school graduates in the modern industrial era.
