Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited use of interactive learning media in Pancasila Education, particularly on the topic of Keragaman Budaya Indonesiaku in elementary schools. Learning activities are still dominated by textbooks and simple instructional media, resulting in limited student engagement during the learning process. This study aimed to develop a Deep Learning-based learning media using Articulate Storyline and to determine its feasibility. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and expert validation sheets, and were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that the developed learning media obtained an average feasibility score of 93.6%, categorized as very feasible, based on the assessments of material, media, and language experts. Furthermore, students' responses during the implementation stage were highly positive, reaching 89% in the one-to-one evaluation, 85% in the small group evaluation, and 88% in the field test. Therefore, the Deep Learning-based learning media using Articulate Storyline is considered feasible as an alternative instructional medium for teaching Pancasila Education on the topic of Keragaman Budaya Indonesiaku for fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Listening is an active process that requires a person to capture information, understand messages, and respond to information conveyed verbally. This research is motivated by the low listening skills of young children, particularly in paying attention to teacher explanations, understanding story content, answering questions, and continuing the storyline. The purpose of this study is to improve listening skills in young children through the use of the relay story method in storytelling activities. The method used in this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR), implemented in two cycles. Each cycle included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 13 children aged 5–6 years at the Al-Quran Yabas Panyakalan Kindergarten, Kubung District, Solok Regency. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively by comparing the results from each cycle. The results showed that the application of the relay story method in storytelling improved children's listening skills. In Cycle I, the average children's listening skills reached 38%, then increased to 69% in Cycle II. Thus, the relay story method in storytelling is effectively used to improve the listening skills of early childhood children at Al-Quran Yabas Panyakalan Kindergarten, Kubung District, Solok Regency.

Abstract

Numeracy is a basic competency that needs to be developed in early childhood as part of cognitive development. Based on initial observations at the Cemerlang Early Childhood Education Center (PAUD) in Selasih Village, Kaur Regency, Bengkulu Province, the numeracy skills of Group B children aged 5–6 years old are still low. This study aims to improve children's numeracy skills through the application of number sticks in learning activities. The study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, implemented in two cycles, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The study subjects consisted of 10 children in Group B: 4 boys and 6 girls. Data were collected through observation, performance tests, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively using quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed that the use of number sticks gradually improved children's numeracy skills. The learning completion rate reached 30% at the initial stage, then increased to 60% in Cycle I and reached 90% in Cycle II. This improvement was evident in the children's ability to recognize number symbols, count objects, connect quantities with number symbols, and complete simple addition calculations. The research findings indicate that number sticks can be used as an effective learning alternative to develop early childhood numeracy skills. Furthermore, the results achieved exceeded the established success indicator of 75%.

Abstract

Social media communication serves not only as a means of conveying information but also as a medium that reflects the use of politeness strategies in maintaining interpersonal relationships. One example of such communication can be found in Bigmo's YouTube podcast, which features spontaneous and interactive conversations. This study aims to analyze the politeness strategies used in social media communication in Bigmo's YouTube video entitled "All Streaming Belongs to Allah...(BIGMO x ALDI TAHER!!!)" based on Brown and Levinson's (1987) politeness theory. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with a pragmatic approach. The data consisted of utterances containing politeness strategies found in the selected YouTube video. The data were analyzed through three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that all four politeness strategies proposed by Brown and Levinson were identified, namely bald on-record (16 utterances), positive politeness (31 utterances), negative politeness (4 utterances), and off-record (6 utterances). Among these strategies, positive politeness was the most frequently used, while off-record was the least frequently employed. These findings indicate that the speakers tended to prioritize strategies that promote closeness, solidarity, and friendly interpersonal relationships in social media communication.
