Abstract

Customary land is land controlled and managed collectively by indigenous communities based on customary law that has been inherited from generation to generation. For the indigenous community of Teba Timur, customary land holds significant social, cultural, economic, and spiritual value as a source of livelihood and communal identity. However, a dispute arose when the Regional Technical Implementation Unit of Forest Management (UPTD KPH) claimed the area as part of a state forest zone, resulting in restrictions on the community’s rights to manage and utilize their customary land. This study aims to examine: (1) the customary legal basis of the Teba Timur indigenous community over customary land that has been traditionally controlled and managed, and (2) the perspective of Indonesian positive law regarding the control and management of land by the UPTD KPH over the customary land of the Teba Timur indigenous community. This research employed an empirical juridical method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews with village officials, customary leaders, community members, and UPTD KPH personnel, as well as literature studies on relevant legal regulations. The findings indicate that the Teba Timur indigenous community possesses a strong customary legal basis over its customary land due to continuous hereditary control and management. Although customary rights are recognized under Indonesian law, their implementation remains ineffective because of overlapping authority claims. Therefore, stronger legal protection, formal recognition of indigenous communities, regulatory harmonization, and deliberative dispute resolution are required.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relevance of national resilience in mitigating the impact of hoaxes in the era of information globalization. This study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach by collecting and reviewing journals, books, government reports, and other academic sources related to hoaxes, digital literacy, and national resilience. The results show that hoaxes can cause confusion, social conflict, declining public trust, and weakening social unity. Hoaxes can also be viewed as a non-military threat because they can influence people’s mindsets and disrupt the stability of national life. National resilience plays an important role in addressing this threat through strengthening digital literacy, national awareness, critical thinking, and cooperation among the government, educational institutions, media, and society. With these abilities, people can be more selective in receiving information and avoid being easily provoked. In conclusion, national resilience is relevant in mitigating the impact of hoaxes because it can maintain social stability, strengthen unity, and build a wiser society in responding to information amid digital technology development.

Abstract

Students' understanding of learning materials is not only influenced by how students receive the material, but also by how the teacher presents it. In Indonesian language learning, students still find it difficult to analyze narrative texts, especially in terms of analyzing text and pictures in picture books. This situation causes students to lack concentration and have difficulty identifying story elements, which affects learning outcomes. This study aims to improve the ability to analyze narrative texts that focus on analyzing the emotions of characters in picture books in the VII grade of SMPN 6 Madiun by implementing the Discovery Learning model with the help of the ZepQuiz media. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which is carried out in two sessions. The participants of the study were 30 students in the VII grade of SMPN 6 Madiun with a minimum final criterion (KKM) of 75. Each session consists of a planning stage, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques use student achievement documents and observation sheets. The data are analyzed descriptively, quantitatively, and qualitatively. The results show that the use of discovery learning, based on ZepQuiz, can improve students' analytical skills. The percentage of those who completed traditional learning increased from 13% (4 students) in the pre-primary level with an average grade of 60.53 per class, to 37% (11 students) in the first level with an average grade of 71.53, and reached a maximum of 93% (28 students) in the second level with an average grade of 86.40. These results indicate that this learning model is effective in creating a meaningful and enjoyable deep learning experience for students to achieve narrative reading proficiency.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education requires teachers to possess digital competence that extends beyond technical proficiency to the effective integration of technology into teaching and learning practices. This study aims to analyze the implementation of teachers' digital competence in enhancing learning quality, identify technology-based instructional strategies, examine barriers to technology integration, and explain the contribution of digital competence to learning quality. A qualitative case study approach was employed at SD IT SITI AMINAH, Karawang Regency, Indonesia. The participants consisted of ten teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, complemented by thematic analysis involving open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. Trustworthiness was ensured through source and method triangulation, member checking, and peer debriefing. The findings indicate that teachers have integrated various digital platforms, including Google Classroom, WhatsApp, Canva, PowerPoint, and YouTube, into classroom instruction. The integration of digital technology contributed to greater student engagement, enhanced learning motivation, increased teacher creativity, and more diverse instructional strategies. However, its implementation remains constrained by disparities in teachers' digital literacy, limited technological infrastructure, unstable internet connectivity, and insufficient opportunities for professional development. The study concludes that teachers' digital competence is a strategic factor in promoting innovative, effective, and student-centered learning. Therefore, continuous professional development and institutional support are essential to strengthen teachers' digital competence and improve educational quality in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to explain how the Pancasila Student Profile is applied in Indonesian language learning and to identify obstacles that arise during its implementation at a private vocational high school in Jambi, Medan. The method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects included the vice principal and Indonesian language teachers in grades X, XI, and XII. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that the six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile are integrated into the lesson planning module, but implementation in the field is not evenly distributed and optimal across all grade levels. The main obstacles identified include declining student character and learning motivation, misuse of devices during learning, low student learning independence, and low focus in grade XII students due to the pressure of final exams and Field Work Practice. It was concluded that the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile at Jambi Private Vocational High Schools in Medan is in a transitional phase that requires strengthening teachers' pedagogical capacity, equitable distribution of facilities, and more consistent and sustainable institutional synergy.
