Abstract

Students' creativity is one of the major challenges in Social Studies (IPS) learning, as classroom instruction is still predominantly teacher-centered. This condition limits students' opportunities to develop ideas, collaborate with peers, and produce creative learning outcomes. Therefore, innovative learning models are needed to foster students' creativity. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning model assisted by scrapbook media on students' creativity in the topic of community life during the Hindu-Buddhist Kingdoms in Indonesia. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 68 eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Surabaya, divided into an experimental class and a control class through purposive sampling. Data were collected using observations, creativity questionnaires, pre-tests, post-tests, and documentation. The data were analyzed through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an independent samples t-test. The results indicated a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 (< 0.05), demonstrating a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups. The experimental class achieved a higher mean creativity score than the control class, with a mean difference of 8.794. These findings indicate that the implementation of the Project Based Learning model assisted by scrapbook media significantly improves students' creativity. Through project-based learning activities, students are encouraged to explore ideas, collaborate actively, solve problems, and create meaningful learning products, thereby enhancing their creative abilities. Consequently, the Project Based Learning model integrated with scrapbook media can serve as an effective instructional strategy for improving students' creativity in Social Studies learning.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low academic achievement of 10th-grade students at SMKN 48 Jakarta in the subject of Basic Economics, with an average score of 75.71 below the minimum passing score of 82.00 as well as the limitations of conventional and less interactive learning media. The application of the ADDIE model in the Research and Development (R&D) methodology served as the basis for this study to develop web-based learning materials using the Wix platform, while also assessing their feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. The results showed that the media achieved an average feasibility percentage of 92.89% (highly feasible), a practicality percentage of 90.48% in the one-to-one test and 93.71% in the small-group test (highly practical), and an N -Gain value of 0.54 (moderate), with an increase in the average score from 70 to 86.46. Thus, the Wix-based website learning media is deemed feasible, practical, and effective for supporting the learning of Basic Economics at vocational high schools.

Abstract

The Immigration Detention House (Rumah Detensi Imigrasi/Rudenim) plays a strategic role in implementing administrative immigration measures against foreign nationals who are detained pending deportation, repatriation, or the resolution of their immigration status. However, the current management system of Immigration Detention Houses in Indonesia remains predominantly administrative and has not incorporated a risk management approach as the basis for decision-making regarding detainee placement, supervision, and treatment. This condition has limited the effectiveness of detention management, particularly considering the diverse characteristics, security risks, and supervisory needs of detainees. This study aims to examine the existing management system of Immigration Detention Houses and formulate a reconstructed management model based on risk management principles to strengthen effective immigration law enforcement. This research employs normative legal research using statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches. Legal materials were collected through library research and analyzed qualitatively using descriptive-prescriptive methods. The findings indicate that the current legal framework does not integrate risk management principles into the governance of Immigration Detention Houses, resulting in detainee classification, placement, and supervision being conducted primarily through administrative considerations. This study proposes a reconstructed management system incorporating risk identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation, risk treatment, and continuous monitoring as the foundation for detention management. The proposed model is expected to improve the effectiveness of immigration law enforcement, optimize institutional resources, strengthen the protection of human rights, and establish an adaptive, accountable, and risk-based governance system for Immigration Detention Houses.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on understanding the concept of fraction addition in fourth-grade elementary school students. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (Nonequivalent Control Group Design). The research sample consisted of 28 students in the experimental class and 25 students in the control class, selected using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through pretest and posttest in the form of description questions that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics, normality test, homogeneity test, Mann-Whitney U test, N-Gain test, and effect size test. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the initial ability to understand the concept of fractions between the experimental class and the control class (p-value 0.594). After the intervention, the Mann-Whitney U test (posttest) showed a significance of 0.294 (sig 0.05). The N-Gain analysis recorded an increase in the experimental class of 30.04% (medium category), superior to the control class of 22.83% (low category), with the effectiveness of the treatment classified as medium category (effect size 0.205). The conclusion of this study indicates that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve students' understanding of the concept of fractions, although the effect is in the medium category. Thus, the PBL model can be used as an effective alternative to improve elementary school students' understanding of fraction concepts.

Abstract

A prenuptial agreement is a legal instrument aimed at providing legal certainty and protecting the rights and obligations of prospective spouses in married life. Although it has been regulated under Indonesian law, its implementation remains relatively uncommon. This study aims to analyze the role of the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in the implementation of prenuptial agreements from the perspectives of Islamic family law (fiqh munakahat) and Indonesian positive law. This research employs an empirical legal research method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and literature review. The findings indicate that public awareness regarding prenuptial agreements is still low. Based on interviews, only one couple had ever submitted a prenuptial agreement, and the document was submitted only after the marriage had taken place. This demonstrates that the implementation of prenuptial agreements has not yet been optimal. The KUA does not have the authority to draft such agreements but functions primarily in marriage registration and providing legal information. From the perspective of fiqh munakahat, prenuptial agreements are permissible as long as they do not contradict Islamic principles. Indonesian positive law also recognizes prenuptial agreements through Law Number 1 of 1974 on Marriage, as amended by the Constitutional Court Decision Number 69/PUU-XIII/2015.

Abstract

Increasing competition in the subsidized housing industry requires developers to improve marketing strategies and product quality to encourage consumers’ purchase decisions. This study aims to analyze the effects of content marketing and product innovation on house purchase decisions among customers of PT HOME in Sukoharjo. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of 409 consumers who had purchased subsidized housing from PT HOME, with a sample of 84 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that content marketing has a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions, with a path coefficient of 0.228 and a p-value of 0.032. Product innovation also has a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions, with a path coefficient of 0.517 and a p-value of 0.000. Product innovation has a stronger effect than content marketing. These findings indicate that house purchase decisions are influenced not only by the quality of marketing information but also by the added value offered through product innovation. Practically, PT HOME should improve the quality and accessibility of its marketing content while continuously developing housing products that meet consumers’ needs.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low social studies learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 20 Indarung, as indicated by the number of students who had not achieved the Minimum Learning Achievement Criteria. The learning process was still dominated by lecture, question-and-answer, and simple discussion methods, causing students to be less active and less motivated in learning. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Cooperative Learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type assisted by interactive PowerPoint media on students’ social studies learning outcomes. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population consisted of all fourth-grade students of SDN 20 Indarung, comprising two classes. The sampling technique used was total sampling, with class IV A as the experimental class and class IV B as the control class. The research instrument was a multiple-choice objective test. Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and the Mann–Whitney U test. The results showed a significance value of 0.003 < 0.05; therefore, H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. This indicates that there was a significant effect of implementing the Cooperative Learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type assisted by interactive PowerPoint media on the social studies learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 20 Indarung. This was evidenced by the higher average posttest score of the experimental class compared to the control class. The implementation of the TGT learning model assisted by interactive PowerPoint media was able to improve students’ activeness, cooperation, motivation, and understanding in social studies learning.
