Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of academic supervision in improving the performance of Islamic religious education teachers in madrasas. The quality of teachers as the spearhead of educational institutions is very important for the continuity of the learning process. Therefore, teacher performance not only needs to be motivated, but also facilitated and monitored on an ongoing basis. Academic supervision includes planning, implementation, supervision and evaluation aimed at improving the quality of education. The steps taken by the madrasa head in academic supervision include problem identification, problem analysis, and formulating and implementing appropriate solutions. The research results show that effective supervision management can increase the number of academic activities carried out by teachers, as well as contribute to improving student performance. Apart from that, the challenges faced by teachers, such as time management and workload, are also important factors that influence their performance. Thus, this research recommends the need for collaboration between supervisors, madrasa heads, and all teaching staff to achieve maximum performance in the learning process. Through planned and directed supervision, it is hoped that a better and more effective learning environment can be created for students at madrasas.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the product quality of the developed Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD), specifically focusing on its validity, by utilizing liveworksheets media. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The final product of this research is an E-LKPD developed with liveworksheets media on the fundamental movements of big ball games for fifth-grade students at UPT SDN 060876 Medan. The results indicated that the material expert evaluation yielded an average score of 96%, and the media expert evaluation resulted in an average score of 88.75%, both indicating a 'very feasible' rating. The practicality assessment achieved a score of 85.3%. Student responses, after calculation, showed an average score of 91%. Furthermore, the average scores of the pre-test and post-test demonstrated an increase from 43.5 to 84.

Abstract

Abstrak. WhatsApp merupakan media sosial yang sering menjadi pilihan untuk melakukan interaksi dengan pihak lain. Media sosial sangat diperlukan perannya untuk menyebarkan informasi mengenai kesehatan terlebih saat pandemi Covid-19 yang mana saat itu sulit untuk bertemu secara langsung. Teori Uses and Effects digunakan untuk penelitian ini yang mana Sven Windahl di tahun 1979 menjelaskan bahwa teori ini adalah ekstensi dari teori Uses and Gratifications dan teori tradisional terkait efek. Metode kuantitatif dilakukan di mana datanya didapat dari kuesioner dan diukur dengan skala likert 1 sampai 5. Uji regresi linear sederhana dilakukan untuk menguji data analisis. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik non probability sampling berupa accidental sampling atau dikenal dengan metode menentukan sampel dengan cara memilih responden yang ada di tempat yang sesuai dengan konteks penelitian. Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) digunakan untuk menguji validitas. Cronbach’s Apha dan pengolahan data dengan SPSS dilakukan untuk menguji reliabilitas. Penelitian ini menghasilkan pemaanfaatan aplikasi WhatsApp memengaruhi penyebaran informasi kesehatan di masa pandemic Covid-19.

Abstract

Seeing the many problems experienced by students in solving HOTS-based problems, this research was conducted to see the extent to which students' thinking skills at the elementary school level were in solving problems. Student learning activities are not focused on finding a concept but rather on memorizing it, and book-based learning does not foster critical thinking skills. Therefore we need a Problem Solving learning model as a learning model that can help. students develop their Higher-Order Thinking Skills. The purpose of this research is to ascertain how social studies teaching in elementary schools incorporates HOTS-oriented problem solving. The research method used is qualitative library research without going into the field, library research is an activity to collect research data that is appropriate or relevant to a topic or problem as a research object. This research can be used as a reference for elementary school teachers to implement learning in their classes. As a result, teachers can use it to overcome learning challenges.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis validitas kelayakan, praktikalitas, serta efektivitas media pembelajaran Pop-Up Book pada materi Bangun Ruang dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V di SDN 064976 Medan pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan dengan model ADDIE yang mencakup lima tahap, yaitu analyze, design, develop, implement, dan evaluate.Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 21 siswa kelas V SD Negeri 064976 Medan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi wawancara, skala penilaian, serta tes, dengan analisis data secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil validasi oleh ahli materi menunjukkan persentase 80% dengan kategori “layak,” sedangkan validasi media memperoleh persentase 95% dengan kategori “sangat layak.” Penilaian oleh praktisi pendidikan mencapai 98%, dikategorikan sebagai “sangat praktis”.Efektivitas media diukur berdasarkan hasil belajar siswa melalui pre-test dan post-test yang dianalisis menggunakan perhitungan N-Gain Score, menghasilkan persentase 65,24% dalam kategori “Efektif.” Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran pop-up book pada materi Bangun Ruang tergolong sangat layak, sangat praktis, dan efektif untuk diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the traditional game Gobak Sodor on the level of agility of third-grade students at SD Negeri 112281 Aek Kanopan. Along with the development of technology, traditional games are increasingly abandoned, and students' interest in digital games is increasing. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research sample consisted of 15 third-grade students of SD Negeri 112281 Aek Kanopan, who were selected through a total sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was a shuttle run test to measure students' agility levels before and after treatment. The data obtained were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and paired sample t-tests. The results showed a significant increase in students' agility levels after being given treatment through the Gobak Sodor game. The average travel time of students in the agility test decreased, indicating an increase in their agility abilities. The results of the statistical test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05), so the alternative hypothesis was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the traditional game Gobak Sodor has a significant effect on increasing the agility of grade III students of SD Negeri 112281 Aek Kanopan. Therefore, this game can be used as an alternative in physical education learning to improve students' fitness in a fun way.

Abstract

ABSTRACT_ This study, which focuses on the implementation of character values in social studies learning at SD Negeri 2 Tumiyang, Banyumas, uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection through classroom observations, teacher and student interviews, and analysis of learning documents. For data analysis techniques using data reduction techniques. The results show that the implementation and integration of character values in social studies for grade IV have been carried out but need to be improved. Teachers are required to present social studies materials in an interesting and relevant way so that character values are conveyed effectively. This study confirms that the integration of character values is important for developing cognitive aspects while forming positive character in students, equipping them with useful life skills in the future.

Abstract

Social studies as one of the subjects in elementary school has extensive and complex material. Based on observations, the large amount of material makes students quickly bored. The complexity of social studies material needs to be simplified so that it is easy to understand and apply by students. Therefore, teachers need to have good competence in teaching social studies so that the material is easier for students to accept. This study aims to analyze the importance of four teacher competencies in developing social studies learning at SDN 02 Cikawung. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The results of the study indicate that pedagogical and professional competencies have a real impact on the effectiveness of learning activities. Pedagogical competence is reflected in the teacher's ability to compile structured and relevant learning tools, while professional competence is seen in the mastery of the material and the use of diverse and innovative learning methods and media. Personality and social competence, which are related to the character and interaction of teachers, also play an important role in creating a harmonious and positive learning environment. Personality and social competence are important in developing social studies learning because teachers can collaborate with the surrounding community and be role models for the application of real material concepts. These two competencies are also important in creating harmonious relationships with students, fellow teachers, parents, and the community as well as building a positive learning atmosphere.

Abstract

The background of this research is the existence of problems at SD Negeri 01 Pekiringanalit in fourth-grade learning, where students are experiencing difficulties in speaking skills. Based on the results of interviews with the fourth-grade teacher at SD Negeri 01 Pekiringanalit and the analysis of questionnaires given to fourth-grade students, speaking skills among fourth-grade students still face several issues, including: 1) Students use their mother tongue, 2) Students still shy to tell stories, 3) Students tell stories in a disorganized and incomplete manner, 4) Students tell stories in a soft voice, 5) Students are still unable to tell stories without the teacher's help, 6) Students are still unable to tell stories without the help of books, 7) Students cannot understand the stories. Therefore, the researcher strives to provide a solution by choosing a learning method to achieve good learning outcomes, namely by using the role-playing method. The researcher used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population in the study consists of fourth-grade students from SD Negeri 01 Pekiringanalit, with a sample size of 19 students. The data collection techniques used were tests (pretest and posttest) and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive and inferential analysis with hypothesis testing using the paired samples t-test with the help of SPSS Statistics 26. The results of this study indicate that the role-playing method can impact Indonesian language learning, and there is a significant difference between learning before the implementation of the role-playing method and after its implementation in the learning process. The significant difference is influenced by the pretest and posttest scores conducted before and after the implementation. The average pretest score was 30.79, while the average posttest score was 70, indicating that the results were higher than the pretest. The results indicate the influence of the role-playing method in Indonesian language learning, as seen from the paired samples t-test with a result of 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a difference between the pretest and posttest scores, meaning that the role-playing method can impact Indonesian language learning. Abstract

The low quality of education in Indonesia is caused by the weak literacy of students, which is further exacerbated by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to explore the strategies applied by teachers in building a literacy culture with a culturally responsive teaching approach at SDN Sayung 1 and identify the challenges faced in improving students' reading skills. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, where data is collected through interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that strategies such as reading habituation Asmaul Husna, reading 15 minutes before learning, and the Duta Baca award program have proven to be effective in increasing students' interest and literacy skills. In addition, the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach also plays a role in linking learning with students' cultural backgrounds, thereby increasing their involvement in literacy activities. Although the challenges found include limited access to diverse reading materials and differences in students' literacy environment at home. Thus, continuous support from schools, teachers, and parents is needed to enrich literacy resources and create a more conducive environment for the development of students' reading skills. With the implementation of the right strategy and good collaboration, a strong literacy culture can be formed and contribute to improving the quality of education in primary schools.
