Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of using digital flashcards through the Quizlet application on students’ vocabulary acquisition in English language learning. This research employs a literature review method by examining a variety of credible and relevant sources related to the use of Quizlet in vocabulary instruction. The analysis indicates that Quizlet significantly enhances students’ vocabulary mastery and learning motivation. As an interactive learning medium, Quizlet offers features such as images, audio, quizzes, and educational games that provide a more engaging learning experience. In addition, its accessibility on both mobile devices and computers allows students to engage in independent study beyond the classroom, thereby improving long-term vocabulary retention. Based on these findings, Quizlet is recommended as an effective alternative learning tool in English language education, especially in the digital era. Future research should consider expanding the focus to include other language skills and involve larger sample sizes to ensure more comprehensive and generalizable outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to explore biology learning through the observation of the morphology of dicot and monocot plants as an effort to foster the curiosity and critical attitude of students in the STKIP Melawi campus environment, Entikong border area. The method used is field observation which is carried out directly in the environment around the campus. Students systematically recorded morphological data using observation tables, including the structure of roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and seeds. In addition, reflective question sheets are given to explore students' conceptual understanding and scientific attitudes. The results of the observation showed that students were able to identify the difference in morphological characteristics between dicot and monocot plants precisely. This activity encourages active, contextual learning, and strengthens mastery of concepts through hands-on experience. These findings show that the exploration of plant morphology is effective in increasing the learning interest and critical thinking skills of biology students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between gender, age, and foot arch type with the dynamic balance of students at SDN 035 Bilah Hulu. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The sample consisted of 107 students selected using total sampling technique. Data collection instruments used the dynamic balance test from “Test Your Physical Fitness” by C. Ashok. Data analysis included trend analysis, normality test, linearity test, correlation coefficient test, and hypothesis testing.The results showed that: there was no significant relationship between gender and dynamic balance (p = 0.851), there was no significant relationship between age and dynamic balance (p = 0.054; r = 0.187), and there was a significant relationship between foot arch type and dynamic balance (p < 0.001). Since the data were not normally distributed, non-parametric tests were used, namely the Mann-Whitney U Test, Spearman Rank, and Kruskal-Wallis Test.In conclusion, foot arch type has a significant influence on students’ dynamic balance, whereas gender and age do not show a meaningful relationship. These findings are expected to serve as a consideration in physical education activities, particularly in developing students' balance skills.

Abstract

The low level of reading literacy among elementary school students in Indonesia remains a fundamental challenge in education, particularly with the implementation of the thematic curriculum that requires the integration of various basic competencies. This study aims to identify the strategic role of teachers, effective implementation strategies, and the challenges encountered in integrating literacy into thematic learning. A qualitative literature review method was employed by analyzing ten relevant national journal articles. The findings indicate that teachers play a pivotal role as facilitators, innovators, and designers of learning experiences. Effective integration strategies include the use of the webbed-type integrated learning model, utilization of creative media, and the implementation of literacy-based projects. However, several challenges were identified, such as limited instructional time, lack of methodological variation, and difficulties in aligning literacy content with thematic materials. It is concluded that the success of literacy integration in thematic learning heavily depends on the active and creative role of teachers, which must be supported by a collaborative and sustainable educational ecosystem.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to improve cognitive learning outcomes of students in class IV SDN Layungsari 2 Bogor City by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The research conducted was Collaborative Classroom Action Research (Collaborative PTK). This research was carried out in 2 (two) cycles and in 4 (four) stages, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting in each implementation of the cycle. In cycle 1, the complete learning outcomes achieved by students were 72% in the sufficient category (C) and there was an increase in cycle 2, namely the results obtained were 92% in the very good category (A). Based on this, it can be concluded that research conducted using the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve student learning outcomes in class IV SDN Layungsari 2 Bogor City on the Theme Where I Live. Keywords: Problem Based Learning (PBL), Learning Outcomes, the theme of the area where I live ABSTRAK Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik di kelas IV SDN Layungsari 2 Kota Bogor dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu Peneitian Tindakan Kelas Kolaboratif (PTK Kolaboratif). Penelitian ini dilksanakan dalam 2 (dua) siklus serta dalam 4 (empat) tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refeksi dalam setiap pelaksanaan siklusnya. Pada siklus 1, ketuntasan hasil belajar yang dicapai peserta didik yaitu sebesar 72% dengan kategori cukup (C) dan terjadi peningkatan pada siklus 2 yaitu hasil yang diperoleh sebesar 92% dengan kategori sangat baik (A). Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa penelitian yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) ini dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik di kelas IV SDN Layungsari 2 Kota Bogor pada Tema Daerah Tempat Tinggalku. Abstract

Matematika sering disebut sebagai salah satu bidang ilmu yang kerap dipandang sulit dan kurang diminati oleh siswa, terutama di jenjang Sekolah Dasar. Kurangnya minat ini sering kali berujung pada pencapaian siswa terhadap hasil belajar menjadi kurang maksimal. Karena itu, penting untuk menerapkan strategi pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan mendorong keterlibatan siswa. Penelitian yang dilakukan ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran di bidang Matematika dengan memanfaatkan aktivitas ice breaking kelas II. Penelitian ini mengadopsi model dari Kemmis dan Taggart, yang terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Berdasarkan penelitian, hasil yang diperoleh menyatakan bahwa adanya kemajuan yang cukup signifikan. Pada siklus pertama, hanya 3 dari 9 siswa (33,3%) yang mencapai ketuntasan. Setelah strategi diperbaiki pada siklus kedua, 8 siswa (88,8%) mencapai ketuntasan. Penggunaan ice breaking bukan saja berkontribusi pada peningkatan hasil belajar, namun juga menghasilkan lingkungan belajar yang lebih mengesankan serta menyenangkan. dikatakan bahwa ice breaking adalah strategi bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan pengajaran matematika pada sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi sejauh mana hasil belajar siswa yang belum optimal terutama pada materi dengan penjabaran naratif seperti teks biografi. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut melalui penelitian tindakan kelas, peneliti memanfaatkan gaya belajar dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada materi teks biografi di kelas X-6 SMA Negeri 13 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tindakan kelas dengan teknik perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Target pencapaian peningkatan hasil belajar adalah nilai ketuntasan klasikal 75% dengan ketuntasan minimal 65. Pelaksanaan penelitian berlangsung dalam 2 siklus dengan perubahan hasil belajar yang bervariasi. Pada siklus 1 kelas X-6 hasil belajar yang dicapai adalah 90,87% dari nilai ketuntasan klasikal dengan rata-rata pencapaian 78,81. Pada siklus II hasil belajar yang dicapai pada kelas X-6 adalah 95,96% dari nilai rata-rata 86,71. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran PBL dan gaya belajar dapat mempengaruhi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi teks biografi.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive learning media product called ECORAN (Ecosystem Food Chain) based on Genially, intended for fifth-grade elementary students learning about ecosystems. This research was conducted at SDN Mekarwangi selected through simple random sampling. The study applied the Research and Development (R&D) method and involved three testing stages: a small group (5 students), a large group (10 students), and implementation testing (26 students). Data were collected using interviews, observations, validation instruments, and pretest-posttest evaluations. The results showed that the ECORAN media is feasible and effective. Media expert validation scored 94%, material expert validation scored 96%, and language expert validation scored 100%. Student learning outcomes showed significant improvement after using the media. The ECORAN media proved to be an effective tool to support engaging and meaningful science learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on the critical thinking skills of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Payaman in the IPAS subject of cultural diversity. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach and involved 13 students as subjects. The instrument used was 10 description questions based on critical thinking indicators according to Ennis. The data normality test was conducted with Shapiro-Wilk and showed that the data were normally distributed, with pretest and posttest significance values greater than 0.05. Furthermore, the paired sample t-test resulted in a Sig. value of 0.000 <0.05, so Ha was rejected and H0 was accepted, which means there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. The average score of students increased from 60.85 to 83.23 with an N-Gain Score of 0.58 in the moderate category, the highest score was 89 and the lowest was 42. Thus, the Problem Based Learning model is proven to have a significant effect on improving students' critical thinking skills in IPAS learning.

Abstract

Materi atau bahan ajar kalimat efektif terdapat dalam mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia. Mahasiswa sangat memerlukan contoh dan latihan yang nyata serta berkesinambungan agar dapat menggunakan kalimat efektif dalam karya ilmiah mereka. Kurangnya materi perkuliahan kalimat efektif tidak terlepas dari penggunaan bahan ajar yang masih belum memadai. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah ?Bagaimana langkah menyusun bahan ajar kalimat efektif yang tepat dalam menulis karya ilmiah mahasiswa Jurusan PIPS Prodi PPKn?? Penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis yang berusaha menggambarkan data yang diteliti yang terjadi pada masa sekarang serta menguraikan aspek-aspek yang menjadi fokus penelitian. Bahan ajar kalimat efektif disusun berdasarkan model bahan ajar yang digunakan di lingkungan STKIP Pasundan Cimahi. Agar bahan ajar relevan dengan bidang ilmu yang dipelajari mahasiswa, contoh-contoh penggunaan kalimat efektif bidang kewarganegaraan ditambahkan. Selain itu, tugas menulis karya ilmiah diberikan agar mahasiswa berlatih secara berkesinambungan. Hasil analisis dan penilaian karya ilmiah uji coba bahan ajar kalimat efektif menunjukkan hal-hal berikut. (1) Penerapan aspek pilihan kata karya ilmiah sangat baik pada sembilan karya ilmiah, pemilihan kata-kata sudah sesuai dengan fungsi dan makna secara tepat (2) Penerapan aspek kesatuan dalam sebelas karya ilmiah sangat baik. (3) Penerapan aspek kesejajaran terlihat sangat baik pada tujuh karya ilmiah karena terdapat kesejajaran bentuk, kesejajaran makna, dan kesejajaran rincian pilihan yang tepat. (4) Penerapan aspek penekanan/ketegasan pada kalimat terdapat pada satu karya ilmiah yang bernilai sangat baik.(5) Penggunaan kalimat yang bervariasi terdapat pada satu karya ilmiah sangat baik. (6) Penerapan aspek kelogisan pada 24 karya ilmiah baik.(7) Penerapan kaidah ejaan pada satu karya ilmiah sangat baik. (8) Penerapan aspek kehematan pada lima karya ilmiah sangat baik karena menggunakan kata secara hemat, kata-kata mubazir dihindari, tidak ada penggunaan kata bermakna jamak disatukan dalam kalimat.
