Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management policy of primary education implemented at SDN 33 Rawang Barat, Padang City, and to identify the challenges faced by the school in the implementation of these policies. A qualitative approach with an empirical study was used, collecting data through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document studies. The findings indicate that the primary education management policy implemented at SDN 33 Rawang Barat faces several challenges, such as limited funding, inadequate facilities, and the lack of ongoing training for teachers. While efforts have been made to improve the quality of education through flexible policies, the implementation is still hindered by limited resources. Therefore, the management of education at this school requires more attention in aspects such as budget allocation, facility development, and teacher training. This study recommends strengthening parental and community involvement and improving financial management to enhance the quality of education in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Ecological Theory and Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in the learning process at SDN 15 Pematang Panjang. The school faces several challenges related to limited educational facilities and parental involvement, which may affect students' learning outcomes. Ecological Theory, which emphasizes the interaction between individuals and various environmental systems, is expected to help teachers understand the critical role of students' social and cultural environments in the learning process. Meanwhile, Contextual Teaching and Learning links the learning material to students' real-life experiences to enhance the relevance and understanding of the material being taught. The findings of the study indicate that while both theories have a positive impact on student engagement, their implementation is hindered by limited resources, time constraints, and communication challenges between the school and parents. To improve the effectiveness of these theories, it is recommended that the school strengthen collaboration between teachers and parents, as well as increase access to technology and training for teachers.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of diction shift in the Indonesian language across social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and YouTube. The advancement of digital technology and the high frequency of online communication have generated new diction variations that often diverge from standard language norms. The study aims to describe forms of lexical transformation, including semantic shifts, meaning expansion, and the creation of new equivalents. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to active social media users and documentation of trending content. The findings indicate that user creativity, popular linguistic styles, and the need for rapid expression contribute to the emergence of new diction patterns in digital spaces. These results emphasize that social media functions as a dynamic environment that accelerates diction transformation in Indonesian within the digital era. Furthermore,preliminary findings indicate that diction shifts are also influenced by users’ tendencies to adjust their language to be more concise, expressive, and easily understood within fast-paced social media communication.

Abstract

Peningkatan keterampilan 6C menjadi tuntutan penting dalam pendidikan abad 21 sehingga sekolah perlu melakukan inovasi program literasi yang relavan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi program Kamis Bakisahan terhadap keterampilan 6c siswa di UPTD SD Negeri 2 Kait-Kait. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data diperoleh dari wawancara semi-terstruktur dan observasi non-partisipatif. Data yang didapat dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan tema utama terkait program. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program Kamis Bakisahan dengan kegiatan seperti bercerita, bereksperimen, membuat mading, dan berpantun mampu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kereativitas, kolaborasi, komunikasi, karakter, dan kewarganegaraan siswa. Selain itu, program ini memberikan dampak positif bagi guru maupun siswa di UPTD SD Negeri 2 KaitKait. Penelitian ini juga menganalisis tantangan yang dihadapi dan upaya solutif yang dilakukukan sekolah. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa program Kamis Bakisahan memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap keterampilan 6C siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This paper presents a critical comparative analysis between classical Arabic linguistics and Western linguistic theories as proposed by Ferdinand de Saussure and Noam Chomsky. The study employs a literature-based qualitative approach to explore conceptual, methodological, and epistemological differences among the three traditions. Classical Arabic linguistics, rooted in the Islamic scholarly tradition of Fiqh al-Lughah, emphasizes the preservation of the Arabic language as the medium of divine revelation. Its system combines normative and descriptive elements through the sciences of nahwu (syntax) and sharaf (morphology), focusing on the triadic word classification of ism, fi‘l, and harf. This framework integrates linguistic, religious, and philosophical dimensions, making Arabic linguistics both rule-based and meaning-oriented. In contrast, Ferdinand de Saussure’s structuralism shifted the focus of linguistic studies from historical to synchronic analysis. His concepts of signifiant and signifié, and the distinction between langue and parole, established the foundation for modern structural linguistics and semiotics. Meanwhile, Noam Chomsky revolutionized the field with his theory of generative-transformational grammar, arguing that language ability is innate through the Language Acquisition Device (LAD). He introduced the notions of linguistic competence and performance, as well as deep and surface structures, emphasizing language as a universal cognitive faculty. The comparative analysis reveals that Arabic linguistics is normative and spiritually grounded, Saussure’s theory is structural and social, while Chomsky’s model is cognitive and universal. Each framework has distinct strengths and limitations, yet integrating their insights provides a comprehensive approach to modern Arabic language education. This synthesis combining the normative foundation of Arabic linguistics, the structural focus of Saussure, and the generative cognition of Chomsky can enhance both theoretical understanding and practical pedagogy of Arabic linguistics in contemporary contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the concepts, strategies, and challenges of learning at MTS Nurul Huda Malang. Using qualitative descriptive methods, data were obtained through interviews and documentation. The results show that the school implements learning that emphasizes in-depth understanding, meaningfulness of the material, and character development. The strategies used include meaningful learning, mindful learning, and joyful learning. All three encourage students to think critically, be actively involved, and learn in a positive atmosphere. However, its implementation still faces challenges such as limited infrastructure, teacher and student competencies, costs, and pedagogical barriers. Overall, the implementation of learning at MTS Nurul Huda Malang has been running well but requires further support for optimal results.

Abstract

Early literacy skills are essential for first-grade students; however, students at SDN Nongkosawit 2 still demonstrated difficulties in recognizing letter-sound correspondences and reading simple syllables. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Deep Learning approach using the Smart Reading Board and Syllable Cards and to examine their effectiveness in improving students’ early literacy skills. A mixed-method sequential explanatory design was employed, involving 20 first-grade students. Quantitative data were collected through students’ worksheets assessing their ability to combine syllables into words, while qualitative data were obtained through classroom observations and teacher interviews to explain and validate the quantitative findings. The Deep Learning steps included concept introduction, exploration, hands-on experimentation using the media, concept reinforcement, and reflection. The results indicate a significant improvement: the average score increased from 78.8 to 90.1, and learning mastery rose from 45% to 100%. Observations revealed greater student engagement, improved ability to differentiate similar letters, and increased reading confidence. Teacher interviews confirmed that the concrete and manipulative media strengthened students’ understanding of sound–letter–syllable relationships and supported learners with varied abilities. It is concluded that integrating physical media with the Deep Learning approach is effective in enhancing early literacy skills and serves as an accessible, engaging, and adaptive alternative for elementary literacy instruction.

Abstract

Kecerdasan spiritual merupakan sebuah kecerdasan jiwa yang dapat membuat sesorang untuk mengembangkan dirinya secara ideal guna mengaktualisasikan nilai-nilai yang positif dalam kehidupannya. Meningkatnya mobilisasi serta berkembang pesatnya teknologi dalam kehidupan, membawa beberapa dampak negatif pada tatanan masyarakat Indonesia. Hal tersebut, menjadikan kecerdasan spiritual (SQ) menjadi salah satu solution untuk menanggulangi dampak tersebut. Artikel ini ditulis dengan tujuan melakukan istiqra’ atau penelitian terhadap tingkat SQ, prilaku, serta pengaruh kecerdasan spiritual (SQ) terhadap prilaku mahasiswa PAI UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode penelitian dalam artikel ini ialah dengan metode kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ialah nilai signifikasi antara SQ dan prilaku mahasiswa UINSA dalam pembelajaran ialah < 0,005. Artinya terdapat pengaruh serta hubungan antara SQ dengan prilaku mahasiswa. Adapun keeratan pengaruh serta hubungan tersebut menempati posisi “sedang” dengan Correlation Coefficient sebesar 0,508. Arah hubungan SQ terhadap prilaku mahasiswa PAI UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya ialah searah karena hasil nilainya ialah positif. Yang artinya bahwa jika SQ semakin baik dalam diri mahasiswa PAI UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya maka akan meningkatkan pula prilaku dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of local influencers in the bira beach tourist area and their impact on family values as well as the image of tourism destinations. Using a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with lodging managers, local influencercs, and tourism business actors, the study found that the presence of local influencers positively impacts the increase in tourist visits and the local economy. However, there are challenges in maintaining a balance between modern promotion and local cultural values as well as tourist expectations. The results show that local influencers act as cultural intermediaries who shape public perception of tourist destinations, while also serving as economic agents who enhance the welfare of local business actors. This study suggests the need for strategic collaboration between influencers, business actors, and local governments in developing sustainable tourism promotions that still respect local values.

Abstract

The primary objective of this research was to analyze the effect of implementing technology-based geography learning using ArcGIS digital maps on the enhancement of spatial thinking ability among Grade X students at SMA Negeri 8 Medan. This study was motivated by findings indicating low levels of student spatial ability and the minimal use of innovative media supporting geospatial literacy. The research employed a Quasi-Experimental Method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research sample consisted of two groups selected through Purposive Sampling: the Experimental Group (N=35), which received treatment using ArcGIS learning, and the Control Group (N=31), which used conventional methods. Spatial thinking ability data were collected via test instruments and analyzed using the Independent Samples t-test on the Gain Score. The results demonstrated a significant increase in Gain Score in both groups. However, the Experimental Group's mean Gain Score (31.46) was substantially higher than that of the Control Group (17.93). Hypothesis testing confirmed a highly statistically significant difference, evidenced by a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of Geography learning based on Digital Maps with ArcGIS is significantly effective in enhancing students' spatial thinking ability. This finding underscores the crucial role of geospatial technology in optimizing students' spatial analysis competency.
