Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed various aspects of education, including the supervision system in schools. However, the implementation of educational supervision in many elementary schools, including SDN 173547 Tambunan, remains largely conventional and has not optimally utilized digital technology, resulting in less effective monitoring and evaluation of learning processes. This study aims to develop a digital technology-based educational supervision model to improve the effectiveness of supervision and enhance teacher professionalism. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, involving data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the integration of digital platforms, online supervision, and data-driven analysis can improve the efficiency, flexibility, and objectivity of supervision processes. Furthermore, the use of learning analytics and digital documentation enables school principals to provide faster and more accurate feedback to teachers. The developed model demonstrates that digital-based supervision not only enhances the quality of instructional practices but also fosters continuous professional development among teachers. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, varying levels of digital competence among teachers, and resistance to change remain critical factors that need to be addressed for successful implementation. Therefore, a comprehensive and adaptive digital supervision model is essential to support sustainable educational quality improvement in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of parental guidance on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 48 Kabupaten Sorong. Parental guidance is defined as intentional and consistent support provided by parents encompassing academic assistance, emotional encouragement, discipline reinforcement, and creation of a conducive home learning environment. This research employs a quantitative approach with a simple correlational method. The population comprised all 58 fifth-grade students of SD Inpres 48 Kabupaten Sorong, with 50 students selected as the sample through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a parental guidance questionnaire validated through the Pearson product-moment correlation test, and documentation of end-of-semester report card scores across all subjects. Data analysis employed simple linear regression and Pearson correlation. The results revealed a significant positive effect of parental guidance on student learning outcomes, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.681 and a coefficient of determination R² = 0.464, indicating that 46.4% of the variance in student learning outcomes was accounted for by parental guidance. The regression equation was Ŷ = 34.27 + 0.56X. These findings underscore the critical role of parental involvement in supporting children’s academic achievement and recommend that schools implement structured parenting programs to empower parents in guiding their children’s learning at home.

Abstract

Mathematical problem solving ability is one of the essential competencies that elementary school students must possess. However, in practice, many students still experience difficulties in understanding and solving mathematical problems, especially contextual problems. The low level of this ability is influenced by the use of less innovative teaching methods and the suboptimal utilization of technology in learning. This study aims to analyze the use of digital learning media in improving elementary school students’ mathematical problem solving abilities. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach through the review of various journals, scientific articles, and relevant previous research findings. The research data were obtained from scientific sources traced through Google Scholar and other indexed journals, then analyzed using content analysis techniques through the stages of identification, classification, and synthesis of research findings. The results of the study indicate that various digital learning media, such as Scratch, Wordwall, GeoFun, CapCut, Genially, Smart Apps Creator (SAC), interactive games, and ethnomathematics-based media, are able to significantly improve students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. In addition to improving learning outcomes, digital media have also been proven to increase students’ motivation, engagement, and higher-order thinking skills. Therefore, digital learning media have great potential to support mathematics learning in elementary schools when designed interactively, contextually, and in accordance with students’ characteristics.
