Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has profoundly transformed the educational landscape, particularly in the domain of language learning. Writing skills remain among the most challenging competencies for students to master across educational levels, yet they are fundamental to academic and professional success. This study aims to analyze the influence of technology use on students’ writing skills within a deep learning framework, identify pedagogical mechanisms through which technology supports meaningful learning, and formulate practical implications for educators and policymakers. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, combining literature review with empirical data gathered through a four-point Likert scale questionnaire distributed to 21 senior secondary school students from various schools in Sulawesi in May 2026. The findings reveal that 100% of respondents learned more effectively when material was connected to real-life contexts, and 95.2% reported needing examples or stimuli before writing independently. While 66.7% did not struggle with generating ideas, the same proportion experienced difficulty with word choice. Furthermore, 71.4% acknowledged being more accustomed to micro-writing formats due to digital media influence. Despite these challenges, 95.2% expressed motivation to improve their writing through training. These findings underscore that technology, when integrated intentionally within a deep learning framework, can serve as a cognitive bridge rather than a replacement for critical and creative thinking. Effective integration requires contextual approaches, text modelling, and an appreciative classroom climate that builds student confidence in writing.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze entrepreneurship and leadership strategies in the development of small businesses. The research method used is qualitative research with a literature study approach through collecting data from scientific journals, books, and previous studies relevant to the research topic. The results show that entrepreneurial strategies play an important role in increasing the competitiveness of small businesses through innovation, creativity, the ability to identify business opportunities, and the use of digital technology. In addition, entrepreneurial leadership also influences the success of small businesses because it helps business management, decision-making, and improving work motivation. The use of digital technology is one of the important factors in expanding marketing and increasing the effectiveness of small businesses in the modern era. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that entrepreneurial and leadership strategies have a close relationship in supporting sustainable small business development. Therefore, small business actors are expected to improve innovation skills, leadership abilities, and the use of digital technology so that their businesses can develop and have high competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning model assisted by YouTube media on the ability to write folklore among fifth-grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 122349 Pematangsiantar. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 28 students selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation, with a writing assessment rubric validated using Aiken’s V index.The results showed that students' initial ability in writing folklore was relatively low, with an average pretest score of 55.35. After the treatment, the average posttest score increased significantly to 89.64. Hypothesis testing using a paired sample t-test revealed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant effect of the Project Based Learning model assisted by YouTube media on students' writing ability.Thus, the use of Project Based Learning assisted by YouTube media is effective in improving students' ability to write folklore, while also making the learning process more engaging, interactive, and easier to understand. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh promosi, literasi keuangan, dan kualitas pelayanan terhadap keputusan menabung produk Tabungan Haji di PT. Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk KC Jambi Pattimura. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan data primer yang diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada nasabah Tabungan Haji PT. Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk KC Jambi Pattimura. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 50 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik random sampling. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dengan terlebih dahulu dilakukan pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial promosi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan menabung produk Tabungan Haji di PT. Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk KC Jambi Pattimura. Literasi keuangan juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan menabung. Selain itu, kualitas pelayanan secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan menabung nasabah. Namun demikian, hasil pengujian secara simultan menunjukkan bahwa promosi, literasi keuangan, dan kualitas pelayanan secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan menabung produk Tabungan Haji di PT. Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk KC Jambi Pattimura. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa keputusan menabung nasabah dipengaruhi oleh efektivitas promosi, tingkat pemahaman masyarakat terhadap keuangan syariah, serta kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan oleh pihak bank. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan strategi promosi, edukasi literasi keuangan syariah, dan kualitas pelayanan menjadi faktor penting dalam meningkatkan keputusan masyarakat untuk menabung pada produk Tabungan Haji di Bank Syariah Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Smartboard media on students’ short story writing skills in Indonesian Language subject in Grade II of UPTD SD Negeri 122349 Pematangsiantar in the 2025/2026 academic year. The background of this research is the low ability of students in writing short stories, particularly in developing ideas, organizing sentences coherently, and using appropriate vocabulary. This research employed a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental Design using a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The population and sample in this study consisted of all 28 Grade II students, using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through tests, observation, and documentation. The research instrument was a short story writing test that had been validated using Aiken’s V validity index, showing that the instrument was valid. Data analysis was conducted using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and the paired sample t-test with IBM SPSS Statistics version 24. The results showed that the mean score of the pretest was 48.75, which increased to 81.14 in the posttest. The hypothesis testing results showed a t-value of -9.038 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using Smartboard media on students’ short story writing skills in Grade II of UPTD SD Negeri 122349 Pematangsiantar. The use of Smartboard media has been proven to improve students’ learning motivation, classroom engagement, and their ability to write short stories in a more structured and creative way.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the increasing prevalence of toxic friendship behavior among senior high school students. The study aimed to examine the effectiveness of group guidance services employing psychodrama techniques in reducing students’ toxic friendship behavior. A quantitative approach with an experimental method was applied using a One Group Pretest–Posttest design.Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques, while the effectiveness of the intervention was tested using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and the N-Gain analysis. The results revealed an N-Gain score of 0.62, indicating a moderate level of effectiveness. These findings suggest that group guidance services integrated with psychodrama techniques are effective in reducing toxic friendship behavior among senior high school students.

Abstract

The proliferation of English across Indonesian digital and social land-scapes has generated complex sociolinguistic phenomena among young speakers, encompassing code-switching practices, accent ideol-ogy conflicts, and evolving cognitive patterns. This study investigates the intersections of identity negotiation, cognitive processing, and the in-fluence of digital media on English language use among a group of In-donesian senior high school students aged 16-18 in Medan. A mixed-methods design was employed, combining a five-item Likert-scale sur-vey administered to 15 respondents with in-depth qualitative interviews and open-ended responses. Quantitative data were analyzed descrip-tively, while qualitative findings were subjected to thematic coding and socio-psycholinguistic interpretation. Findings reveal that code-switching commands the highest agreement (Mean = 4.00), functioning as both a communicative tool and a vehicle for social identity construction. Confi-dence in formal English use stands at a moderate-high level (Mean = 3.47), while the cognitive shift toward thinking in English remains devel-opmental (Mean = 3.20). Accent ideology produces a near-equal but emotionally charged divide: 53.33% favor native-like pronunciation while 46.67% advocate for localized accent retention. Social media emerges as the primary driver of English lexical acquisition (Mean = 3.60), em-bedding slang terms such as literally, cringe, and slay into everyday dis-course. The findings contribute to socio-psycholinguistic scholarship by demonstrating that English use among these young learners is not merely a communicative act but a dynamic process of identity perfor-mance, cognitive becoming, and resistance to linguistic normativity in the digital era.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were: 1) To determine the influence of classroom management on parents’ interest in enrolling their children at Santa Maria Private Elementary School Tarutung; 2) To determine the influence of educators’ hospitality on parents’ interest in enrolling their children at Santa Maria Private Elementary School Tarutung; and 3) To determine the simultaneous influence of classroom management and educators’ hospitality on parents’ interest in enrolling their children at Santa Maria Private Elementary School Tarutung. The method used in this study was a quantitative research method. The population consisted of all parents of students from Grade I to Grade VI at Santa Maria Private Elementary School Tarutung, totaling 788 people, located in North Tapanuli Regency. The sample in this study was taken at 10% from each grade level, resulting in a total of 79 respondents. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire consisting of 79 items. The results of data analysis showed that: 1) The calculated F-value was greater than the F-table value for the influence of classroom management on parents’ interest in enrolling their children, namely 70.555 > 3.07. Thus, it was found that there was a positive and significant influence of classroom management on parents’ interest in enrolling their children at Santa Maria Private Elementary School Tarutung, North Tapanuli Regency, amounting to 47.8%; 2) The calculated F-value was greater than the F-table value for the influence of educators’ hospitality on parents’ interest in enrolling their children, namely 72.745 > 3.07. Thus, it was found that there was a positive and significant influence of educators’ hospitality on parents’ interest in enrolling their children at Santa Maria Private Elementary School Tarutung, North Tapanuli Regency, amounting to 48.6%; and 3) The calculated F-value was greater than the F-table value for the simultaneous influence of classroom management and educators’ hospitality on parents’ interest in enrolling their children at Santa Maria Private Elementary School Tarutung, North Tapanuli Regency, namely 38.855 > 3.07. Thus, it was found that there was a positive and significant influence of classroom management and educators’ hospitality on parents’ interest in enrolling their children at Santa Maria Private Elementary School Tarutung, North Tapanuli Regency, amounting to 50.6%. Therefore, Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal’s managerial role in implementing deep learning from the teachers’ perspective at SMP Negeri 1 Tarutung. The focus of the study includes the principal’s management functions, namely planning, organizing, supervision implementation, and learning evaluation in supporting the implementation of deep learning. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving informants consisting of the principal, facilitator teachers, and teachers who had participated in deep learning training. Data analysis techniques were carried out through data reduction, coding, data presentation, and thematic conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the principal has a strategic role in supporting the implementation of deep learning through the preparation of learning programs, teacher organization, implementation of academic supervision, and continuous learning evaluation. The principal also strives to build a collaborative culture through training, mentoring, and strengthening communication with teachers. From the teachers’ perspective, the implementation of deep learning has a positive impact on student engagement, the development of critical thinking skills, and more meaningful learning experiences. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, such as limited teacher understanding, time management, and supporting learning facilities. Therefore, strengthening the principal’s managerial capacity, improving teacher competence, and providing continuous facilities and supervision support are necessary so that the implementation of deep learning can run optimally

Abstract

The era of digital disruption has brought fundamental changes to the management of Islamic educational institutions. Globalization, digitalization, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) present both opportunities and serious threats to the fundamental Islamic values embedded in educational practice. This article examines Maqashid Sharia as a strategic framework for Islamic education management in responding to the challenges of the digital disruption era. Using a qualitative library research method, this article analyzes the five dimensions of Maqashid Sharia — hifz al-din, hifz al-nafs, hifz al-'aql, hifz al-nasl, and hifz al-mal — as normative and operational foundations for comprehensive Islamic educational resource management. The findings indicate that the Maqashid Sharia framework provides holistic guidance in formulating digital-based curriculum policies, developing educator competencies in the AI era, adaptive institutional governance, and protecting Islamic identity and values amid globalization. This article proposes a three-level implementation model — macro, meso, micro — as practical guidance for Islamic educational institution managers in conducting digital transformation rooted in Islamic principles.
