Abstract

Students' ability to write fable text can be categorized as low. The conventional learning model is one of the causes of students' difficulties in writing fable texts. Student's difficulties in writing fable texts and the lack of teaching materials are some problems highlighted in interviews conducted with Indonesian language teachers at SMPN 1 Sungai Lala. Therefore, the researcher applied Picture and picture learning methodology as an alternative to overcome the problems experienced by students. Thus, this study assessed how well the Picture and picture model can improve students' ability to write fable prose. The sample in this study was 63 students in class VIII of SMPN 1 Sungai Lala. This study used a quasi-experimental approach, where the study compared two groups: the group that used the picture and picture paradigm and the group that used the standard model. The findings showed that the experimental group's writing ability improved significantly, and there was a notable difference between the two groups. Thus, the researcher can conclude that the Picture and picture model can improve the ability to write fable texts at SMPN 1 Sungai Lala, especially for class VIII.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship in higher education has gained momentum as a significant research subject, especially in the last decade. New approaches to entrepreneurship education in universities recognize that the goal is not only to generate new businesses, but more broadly to develop students' critical thinking, problem-solving and innovation skills. In this competitive global economy, graduates with technical skills alone are not enough. It also requires the ability to innovate and adapt, and create new opportunities. In response, universities around the world have integrated entrepreneurship education into their curricula, seeking to equip graduates with a flexible and proactive mindset through various programs and initiatives. However, challenges in the implementation of entrepreneurship education include its effective integration into an often rigid and dense curriculum, as well as difficulties in measuring the long-term impact of entrepreneurship. This study aims to identify and visualize publications related to entrepreneurial learning in the context of higher education. Using bibliometric analysis with the main data source from the Scopus database, this study focused on publications between 2014 and 2023, resulting in 799 relevant documents to be further analyzed using Biblioshiny for data visualization. From the data filtering results, 265 publications were identified with an annual growth of 13.33% and 672 authors who have contributed to this field, signaling high interest from the research community. In-depth analysis revealed publication trends, the most prolific authors, the most active affiliations, and the most cited articles, providing a comprehensive picture of the current bibliometric landscape. These insights are important for educators, curriculum developers, and policymakers to inform the development of more effective educational programs and policies and highlight the need for further research on the impact of entrepreneurial learning and the integration of digital technologies in education. This research provides a foundation for future explorations into digital entrepreneurship, charting pathways for innovation and positive impact within the education sector

Abstract

The learning process is a fundamental aspect that supports the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes among learners. Along with the advancement of digital technology, there has been a substantial integration of ICT-based learning tools that aim to improve student engagement and educational outcomes. Despite the availability of innovative tools, many educators still use conventional methodologies, often resulting in passive and less effective learning environments. Recent empirical studies emphasize the importance of ICT-based educational tools in entrepreneurship education. Tools such as educational videos, electronic modules and interactive platforms facilitate direct interaction between educators and learners. In addition, simulations and multimedia resources can be utilized to explain complex concepts, enhancing student understanding. The study used a meta-analysis approach to assess the efficacy of ICT-based educational media in improving learning outcomes in entrepreneurship education. By analyzing secondary data from pre-test and post-test results featured in ten scholarly articles retrieved from Google Scholar, the study calculated effect sizes and conducted hypothesis testing through paired sample t-tests. The analysis revealed a two-tailed significant p-value of 0.000, lower than the threshold value 0.05, leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. Consequently, there was a marked increase in the mean score from 61.793 to 84.131, indicating an increase of 19.5%. The findings suggest that ICT-based educational tools enhance student learning and are specifically effective in entrepreneurship education, with a Cohen effect size of 1.58.

Abstract

Students learn, change attitudes, and develop life skills inside and outside school by following and obeying the rules in structured education. This study was conducted to analyze and find out what factors affect student motivation to learn social studies and to know the role and contribution of the school environment to student learning motivation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, the sampling technique of which is purposive sampling, to determine the research sample. For data collection techniques used are library research and field research, including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the school environment influences student learning motivation to facilitate the teaching and learning process. Physical factors, such as classroom facilities and cleanliness, affect children's sense of comfort and safety in the school environment. Social interactions between learners, teachers, and education personnel are part of the school environment, which is very important in fostering harmony, collaboration, and a sense of unity in the school community, ultimately impacting students' academic drive. Teacher factors include teaching methods and exemplary school atmosphere and conditions, school friends (classmates), student health, talents possessed by each student, facilities, and infrastructure, completeness of learning tools and media, and family support, which all affect student learning motivation. The presence of complete facilities improves the quality of social studies learning, qualified teachers, a comfortable and clean school environment, and encouragement and motivation from social studies teachers.

Abstract

The enthusiasm of high-grade students at SDN Batu Ampar 08 Pagi towards the values of Pancasila in attitude and action still needs to be higher. This is due to the lack of learning that emphasizes character deepening, so students are very minimal in applying these values in attitude. With this, researchers developed learning media in the form of Truth or Dare cards, which are expected to help improve students' understanding of Pancasila values. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model and uses quantitative and qualitative approaches. The validation showed satisfactory results with a validation score of 96% by material experts, 94.3% by media experts, and 93.3% by education experts, resulting in an average validation percentage of 91.3%, which is feasible. In this study, testing was carried out in two stages: a small trial with a score of 91.6% and a large trial with a score of 91.9%, with very feasible qualifications. If the two trial results are combined, an average score of 84.1% is obtained, indicating that this media is feasible to use. The effectiveness of Truth or Dare card media in improving students' understanding of Pancasila values was measured using pre-test and post-test. The pre-test score of 43.7% increased to 61.11% in the post-test, showing an increase of 17.41%. The field test analysis showed an N-gain (g) value of 0.81, which is included in the high classification, indicating that the Truth or Dare card media has a high potential effect. Thus, the Truth or Dare card media is declared feasible and effective in improving the understanding of Pancasila values in high-grade students.

Abstract

The curriculum must be able to accommodate the needs and characteristics of students. The new curriculum in Indonesia called the Merdeka Curriculum, advises teachers to implement differentiated learning. This research analyses the concept and practice of differentiated learning in Indonesia. The method used in this research is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data sources were taken from Scopus and Google Scholar to search for literature regarding the conception of differentiated instruction and the practice of differentiated learning in Indonesia. The results show that the concept of differentiated learning is to give different treatment to students based on their needs and learning styles. Differentiated learning is divided into process, content, product and learning environment. Differentiated learning has been practised in some schools in Indonesia by teacher movers, but mostly in primary schools and inclusive schools. The reason is that many teachers in Indonesia still need to gain the knowledge and competence to implement differentiated learning in their classrooms. Therefore, this research will help teachers in Indonesia understand more about the concept of differentiated learning and adopt the best practices in their classrooms

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of employing animated video learning materials on the learning outcomes for comparable fractions in fourth-grade math students. Research was conducted using a quasi-experimental approach with a control group that only participated in the post-test. This research used a split-class design, with some students as controls and others as experimental subjects. Right from the start, the researchers ensured the instruments were reliable and genuine. In the validity test, researchers used SPSS software, and each of the ten questions was deemed valid. A reliability test value of 0.668 was obtained by using Cronbach's Alpha. The fact that the value is higher than 0.60 indicates that the instrument is regarded as reliable. The hypothesis was tested using the t-test with a significance level (Sig.) of 0.234, which is more than the predetermined threshold of 0.05, using a significance level (α) of 0.05. Beyond that, with a t-count of 5.388 and a t-table of 2.069, the t-count is larger than the t-table. Findings showed that students in classrooms that used animated video learning mediums outperformed those in classes that used more conventional methods.
