Abstract

From the preliminary research data obtained, about 74% had never made diagnostic assessment instruments, and 13% indicated they had made them. Therefore, teachers need tools to understand students' learning needs and abilities. The purpose of this study is to help teachers by developing diagnostic assessment instruments for PAI learning in junior high schools. This research method uses the research and development method (Research And Development) with the ADDIE model in making instrument questions through five stages developed by Dick and Carry. Data was collected by testing 383 students from 4 junior high schools in Bandung Regency. This data collection tool uses Google Forms. Data analysis in this study used descriptive statistics and item analysis by looking at Validity, Reliability. This shows that it is reliable and valid. The results of the difficulty level analysis show that the instrument has an easy difficulty level of 2.50%, medium 77.50% and difficult 20.00%. The results of the analysis of the differential power 38 items have "Differential Power" around 0.036 (Low), and 42 items have "Differential Power" around 0.394 (High). Abstract

The various problems among elementary school students are caused by several factors, especially the lack of religious education that children receive. This phenomenon indicates that Islamic religious education cannot carry this responsibility alone. Therefore, attention to MDTA is understandable, primarily since the institution focuses on Religion and Religious Education as regulated in PP 55 of 2007. The research aims to describe Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah, aspects of the curriculum implemented by MDTA, members owned by MDTA, infrastructure owned by MDTA, finances contained in MDTA, and MDTA's relationship with the community. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with exploratory methods. The results of this research inform that to make MDTA superior. An explicit curriculum is needed to implement the provisions set by the Ministry of Religion; apart from that, it also requires complete personnel ready to realize MDTA educational goals. MDTA institutions must also always pay attention to learning facilities as superior institutions. MDTA does not only depend on assistance provided by the Ministry of Religion and City/Regional Government but also through community self-help. MDTA's relationship with the community is established through support and involvement from the environment around MDTA. Based on research conducted, MDTA has an ecosystem that can support students' religious education. Therefore, the researcher recommends examining other levels of education at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah to determine the sustainability of the benefits that MDTA students can obtain.

Abstract

Changes in a learner's reading phase have implications for other aspects of language skills. Moreover, changes in students' reading demand higher output. This research aims to determine the comprehensive reading skills of elementary school students transitioning from lower grades to higher grades. The type of research used is qualitative research using a descriptive approach. The population in this study was 24 students of class IV science at Muhammadiyah Ibtidaiyah Madrasah Hadimulyo Metro City. The tea sampling technique is nonprobability sampling type purpose sampling with data collection methods through tests and interviews. Based on the results of the research data analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that comprehensive reading skills in the assessment criteria could be better, with an average score of 64.2. From this score, students are not proficient in comprehensive reading skills because they have yet to be able to reach the Criteria Score. Minimum completeness determined is 75. The result shows that students need help with comprehensive reading skills in class IV science. This research provides the view that there is a change in the concept of acquiring reading content based on comprehensive reading aspect, namely reading speed, understanding simple meanings, significant meaning understanding, evaluation assessment of content and form, and reading speed flexible and based on the type of reading skill students use.

Abstract

Education, as the foundation of the younger generation, faces pressure to adapt to the developments of the 21st century. The Merdeka Curriculum emerges as a solution to accommodate the dynamics of these changes, emphasizing a contemporary learning approach. However, its implementation in the field encounters complex challenges, including policy issues, changes in the role of teachers, and the adaptation of educational infrastructure. This research explores the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, identifies specific challenges, and contributes to the development of a responsive curriculum in the 21st century era. The literature review highlights the interconnectedness of the Merdeka Curriculum with 21st-century learning, emphasizing the autonomy of students and the utilization of technology as a common thread. Teachers transition to facilitators, and collaboration with the community becomes essential. The research method employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature review study, comprehensively discussing the application of literature review. The research findings reveal challenges in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, such as changes in the teacher's paradigm, policies, and infrastructure. The literature review outlines findings from ten literature sources discussing research results related to the Merdeka Curriculum, emphasizing successes, obstacles, and necessary improvements. The discussion involves aspects of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, the paradigm shift in 21st-century education, and specific challenges. Teacher adaptation, infrastructure support, and continuous evaluation are key factors in overcoming challenges and achieving adaptive, relevant, and responsive education in the modern era.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of game-based online learning media, namely the Quizizz application in increasing student motivation in the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research subjects were FITK students who took the Islamic Studies course, totaling 34 people. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analysis technique which consisted of three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that student learning motivation tends to increase with the application of game-based online learning media, namely quizizz.

Abstract

The increasingly massive use of digital technology has influenced the process of life, one of which is in the field of education. Digital technology has been widely used in the learning process from the elementary to university levels. The use of technology also needs to be accompanied by strengthening character education, which can be done through understanding digital ethics. Digital ethics provides an understanding of moral standards and rules that can be carried out to utilize digital technology. Strengthening character education through digital ethics in the current era is necessary because the teaching and learning process uses more digital technology. The research method used is a literature study approach with descriptive analysis. This study aims to provide an understanding of the contribution of digital ethics applied in daily life to character education in the digital era. The results show that digital ethics has a role in efforts to strengthen character education in the digital era. This is shown through applying moral standards and rules that must be carried out in digital activities. So that applicable rules can direct all digital activities. Digital ethics is one aspect of strengthening character education in the increasingly advanced digital technology development era. If digital ethics is applied correctly, it will positively impact life in the future

Abstract

Pesantren is a stronghold for the entry of radicalism and prevents the degradation of a nation's morality. A critical aspect of the tradition of pesantren is the competence of religious moderation, which must be continuously improved. The study uses a systematic literature review (SLR) method to analyze the concepts of religious moderation that are evolving and becoming a tradition in the Javanese pesantren. There are 16 articles that meet the quality assessment from 4,252 types of documents in the form of scientific journal articles. Researchers used the Dimensions database as a data source. The results of this study show that the concept of religious moderation used in the pesantren tradition in Java includes: teaching national values, social empowerment, moderation values in worship practices, interfaith dialog, charismatic kyai (pesantren leader), openness to modern science and understanding of local wisdom. In its implementation, the pesantren strengthens the competence of religious moderation by improving holistic education, training moderate preachers, developing digital media, developing education, interfaith dialog activities, and building social care. Understanding this concept will affect the pesantren tradition, especially Java, including the attitude of active participation in social programs, upholding Islamic values and local culture, preventing radicalism, encouraging innovation in the education system, increasing tolerance and unity among people, and being critical of extremism.

Abstract

In the 17th century, there were two critical moments in the history of world civilization, namely the beginning of the rise and dominance of the West and the beginning of the decline and destruction of Islam in Arabia after its glory for several centuries. For this reason, Arab intellectuals began to examine the causes of this decline and devise solutions to rise again. Then came one of the Arab intellectuals who provided critical solutions and impacted Islamic thought, Muhammad Abid al-Jabiri. He provides ideas from Bayani, Irfani, and Burhani epistemology, which have implications for the revival of Islam, including Islamic education. This research is analyzed theoretically to describe the construction of al-Jabiri's thoughts on Bayani, Irfani, and Burhani epistemology and their correlation with Islamic education. This research aims to overcome the existing knowledge deficit and investigate the impact of epistemology on the criticism of Arabic language education reasoning and its correlation with Islamic education. The research method used is a literature study by taking primary data from Muhammad Abed Al-Jabiri's work entitled "Takwin al-'Aql al-'Arabi". The results show that Bayani, Irfani, and Burhani epistemologies criticize the dominant Arabic reasoning, explore less noticed aspects, and offer more inclusive thinking alternatives in the context of Islamic education. This research also opens a new paradigm on the relationship between these epistemologies and Islamic education. By understanding Arabic reasoning deeply and applying epistemological principles in Islamic education, Islamic education can become more holistic, inclusive, adaptive to the modern world, and develop critical thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of concentration and student learning outcomes on colloidal material using a Jigsaw model infused with a tic-tac-toe game. The quasi-experimental study used a pretest and posttest nonequivalent control group design. Students in grade XI of three science classrooms in Prambanan High School were identified as the population in this study, and two of them were selected to be samples (one as a control group and another as an experimental group) using a cluster random sampling technique. While applying the Jigsaw-infused Tic-tac-toe Game, learning concentration was measured with a questionnaire. On the other hand, conceptual understanding of colloidal material was analyzed using multiple-choice tests. All data collected used statistical analysis (Mann-Whitney test for data from the questionnaire and data from the tests). The research result shows the value of sig. Questionnaire 0,002 < 0,05 and sig. Test questions 0,003 < 0,05. Based on the research results, the finding shows that applying a Jigsaw-infused Tic-tac-toe game positively affects students' concentration and conceptual understanding of chemistry.

Abstract

Differentiated learning allows students to learn more effectively according to their learning styles and interests. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of differentiated learning based on learning pleasure to student's numerical comprehension. The participants in this study were 25 junior high school students in Indonesia (12 female students and 13 male students) aged 9 to 10 years old. Observation results in cycle I showed that student activity reached 70%, and in cycle II, student activity increased to 80%. Data analysis techniques using classroom action research. Techniques carried out in the data collection process, namely observation, interviews and tests. The research was conducted in two cycles, with one meeting per cycle. The results showed that learning in cycle I and cycle II at each stage of learning could be carried out well. The results of this study indicate that learning activities using differentiated learning based on learning pleasure can improve students' numerical understanding. So, based on the results and discussion, differentiated learning based on joyful learning affects students' numerical understanding.
