Abstract

Observasi ini ditujukan guna memahami seberapa besar dampak metode bercerita terhadap kemampuan berbahasa terhadap peserta didik. Observasi ini memakai jenis observasi kuantitatif dengan metode uji coba dengan model yang dipakai yaitu Pre-Experimental Design dengan model desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Subjek pada observasi ini yaitu satu kelas anak B2 yang berada di RA Siti Amelia yang beranggotakan 12 peserta didik. Pengelompokan data didapat melalui tes, observasi, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data didapat dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji T. Hasil observasi menggambarkan bahwa menurut hasil analisis uji t (paired sample t-test), maka dapat diperoleh hasil bahwa thitung lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 14.582 > 1.714 dan Sig. (2 tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan analisis data tersebut dapat disimpulkan sebetulnya terdapat keragaman yang signifikan kemampuan berbahasa peserta didik ketika sebelum dan sesudah diberi metode bercerita. Dalam artian thitung > ttabel yang maksudnya Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Banyaknya dampak metode bercerita pada kemampuan berbahasa anak usia dini di RA Siti Amelia yaitu sebesar 7,50 serta dalam interpretasi nilai Cohen’s ialah 69% yang dikategorikan sedang. Berdasarkan paparan diatas,bisa di tarik kesimpulan terdapat pengaruh metode bercerita pada kemampuan berbahasa peserta didik.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to explore the strategies used by teachers in handling children experiencing tantrums at TQ Muhammad Al Fatih Kindegarten. This case study employs a qualitative approach using observation and in-depth interviews to collect data. The research subjects are childern who frequently have tantrums and the teachers who handle them. The result of the study indicate that teachers implement various effective strategies to calm tantrums, including distraction techniques, consintent boundary setting, and providing emotional support. Teachers also use individualized approaches tailored to each child’s chatacteristics. Additionally, teachers actively engage childern in activities that can divert their attention from sources of frustration. This study suggests the need for further training for teachers in behavior management techniques to handle tantrums effectively and create a more conducive learning environment.

Abstract

The ability to recognize letters in group B at Libukang Permai Kindergarten, Palopo City is still low, there are still some children who do not know letters and cannot distinguish letters. The ability to recognize letters will of course have a negative impact on the person concerned because the impact will be greatly felt when entering the next level of education. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kurt Lewin Model which consists of two cycles. Cycle I consists of 4 meetings and cycle II consists of 4 meetings. Each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were students of Libukang Permai Kindergarten in the 2024/2025 academic year totaling 12 children, namely 5 boys and 7 girls. The actions implemented, namely the letter board media to introduce letters to children, were obtained from the results of observations, interviews and documentation analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The success criteria for this study were determined if the child got a score of 80% of all indicators. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Letter Board Media is in accordance with the needs of children and the use of the Letter Board Media can introduce letters to children. The score in the pre-action condition was 40% of all indicators with the category Not Yet Developing (BB). Cycle I with an observation score of 54% of all indicators with the category Starting to Develop (MB). Cycle II with a score of 82% of all indicators with the category Developing Very Well (BSB). Thus, this Classroom Action Research (CAR) is said to be successful so that researchers recommend learning using Letter Board Media in introducing letters to children. Letter Board Media makes learning more interactive and interesting.

Abstract

This research aims to develop innovative learning media in the form of Panji animated fairy tale videos to stimulate early childhood moral development. The background of this research shows the low morale of children, which can be seen from behaviors such as lack of patience, giving up easily, being disrespectful to teachers, and lack of empathy for friends. The learning approach used is still conventional, such as lecturing and writing, and has not utilized technology optimally. In addition, the lack of local culture-based media is an obstacle in instilling moral values while preserving cultural heritage. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) using the Borg and Gall development model. Data were collected through direct observation in the field, while data analysis used Aiken's Formula to assess the validity and feasibility of the media based on experts' assessment. The results of this study indicate that this local culture-based learning media has been achieved. This media is not only academically and technically feasible, but also succeeded in increasing children's involvement and moral understanding in accordance with the success indicators in the research objectives. The implication of this study is to contribute to early childhood learning theory, especially in the context of moral development, by showing that the use of local culture-based animated fairy tale video media (Panji story) is effective for stimulating children's moral development.

Abstract

Literacy development is a fundamental aspect of education, especially in preparing students to face life's challenges. Indonesian immigrant children in Malaysia often have limited literacy skills and are less fluent in Indonesian due to the dominance of the Malay language in daily life. This study aims to identify the impact of a game-based learning approach integrated with daily life on the Indonesian language literacy skills of students at Sanggar Bimbingan Belajar At-Tanzil Pandan Jaya Malaysia. This study uses qualitative methods. Observation and interviews are two data collection methods used by the author in the research. The research was conducted at Sanggar Bimbingan Belajar At-Tanzil Pandan Jaya Malaysia with students aged 9-10 years. This method is used to obtain a comprehensive view of the implementation of the approach. Data were analyzed using interactive qualitative data analysis, which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results show that the game-based approach, particularly through the Word Warriors game, significantly enhances student engagement, critical thinking skills, understanding of literacy concepts, and enriches their Indonesian vocabulary. This approach not only improves students' proficiency in the Indonesian language but also helps make the learning process more relevant and engaging for them. These findings imply that the game-based learning approach can be more widely applied as an effective strategy in enhancing students' literacy and learning motivation.

Abstract

The lack of mathematical skills in children that include classifying, measuring, adding requires teachers to be more creative in creating fun, interesting, and interactive learning to increase children's interest and understanding. This study aims to examine whether there is an effect of implementing interactive learning media based on educational e-games wordwall on the mathematical abilities of children aged 5-6 years at Aisyiyah I Kindergarten Bukittinggi. This study is included in the type of quasi-experimental approach. The population used was all children at Aisyiyah I Kindergarten Bukittinggi in the 2024/2025 academic year, to determine the sample using a purposive sampling technique, for children in class B1 determined to be the control class, and class B4 as the experimental class. The data processing method in this study uses normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. The data collection instrument uses a statement sheet. Then the data is analyzed using a difference test (t-test) using SPSS 27 statistical software. Referring to the results of observations that have been carried out, the mathematical abilities of children aged 5-6 years in the experimental class using interactive learning media based on educational e-games wordwall are greater than the control class. In the pre-test, the experimental class obtained a mean of 19.2 and the control class 17, while for the post-test in the experimental class, the mean was 30 and the control class 23. The sig value (2-tailed) shows a figure of 0.000 <0.05. There is a difference in the results after the intervention was given to both classes. There was a significant increase in the experimental class. While the control class also experienced an increase, but it was not significant. These findings indicate that the use of interactive wordwall learning media has a significant influence on the mathematical abilities of children aged 5-6 years.

Abstract

The problem in the study is the initial mathematical ability of children aged 5-6 years who still need appropriate stimulation according to the age and abilities of the child. This study aims to determine the effect of traditional das games on the initial mathematical ability of children aged 5-6 years. This study uses a quantitative research type with a pre-experimental method and a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study amounted to 29 children aged 5-6 years. The sampling technique used a purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used was observation carried out using an observation sheet that had been tested for validity and reliability and was declared valid and reliable. The research data was tested using the Paired Sample Test and obtained a value of 0.000. This value is less than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05), which means that there is a positive influence between traditional das games on the initial mathematical ability of children aged 5-6 years. This positive influence is because the traditional das games used can attract children's interest and are carried out repeatedly, so that it is in line with Piaget's theory which states that children's activities that are carried out repeatedly will create new knowledge for children.

Abstract

This research is motivated by findings at the Mojoroto State Kindergarten, where the basic numeracy skills of early childhood children are still low. Many children are unable to distinguish numbers and count correctly, and there is a lack of use of educational learning media. To address this issue, the researcher created a learning media called "Lettrum box" using a quasi-experimental method and a quantitative approach. The study involved 24 children, divided into a control class (A2) and an experimental class (A1). Each class participated in five learning sessions. The research instrument was a numeracy post-test with five questions per session. The post-test results showed a significant difference between the two groups. The average score of the control group was 8.00, while the experimental group reached 16.31. This research aims to improve the basic numeracy skills of early childhood children. Thus, the learning media "Lettrum box" has been proven effective in enhancing the numeracy skills of early childhood children in early childhood education institutions.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is an essential stage in building the foundation of child development. Principals must be innovators who can develop new ideas to improve the quality of education. Implementing Data-Based Planning (PBD) is one strategy to improve the quality of PAUD education services. An objective picture of the quality of PAUD services needs to be analyzed based on factual data through system tools and education reports. This study explores the principal's leadership in optimizing data-based planning through education reports to realize quality schools in PAUD institutions. The method uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The location of the research was in Bantengan Village Kindergarten 01, Madiun Regency, with the research subjects being the principal. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of documents related to the Education Report. The study showed that the principal optimized data-based planning through education reports using the Self-Evaluation Sheet and the Learning Environment Survey (Sulingjar). The Self-Evaluation Sheet was carried out by identifying and reflecting on priority indicators to formulate root problems and inspiration for improvement. The Learning Environment Survey was used to identify learning conditions, facilities and infrastructure, and partnerships with parents. These findings underscore the importance of accurate data in supporting ongoing reflection, planning, and evaluation processes in PAUD institutions.

Abstract

The importance of the role of teachers in character education requires a more in-depth review. To improve a teacher's ability to teach, a high level of efficacy is needed to believe that teachers can instill positive values. There are two efficacies in this study, namely Teacher Self-Efficacy (PTE) and Teacher General Efficacy (GTE). This article discusses teacher self-efficacy and teacher general efficacy in character education in terms of educational background and teacher training experience. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of educational background and training experience on a teacher's PTE and GTE. This research method uses a quantitative approach method with data collection from 143 teachers as respondents using a questionnaire distributed to early childhood education teachers in Gajahmungkur District as research respondents. The questionnaire contains the aspects being studied. Respondent data is processed using the ANOVA method to obtain the results of the study. The results obtained in this study are that the educational background and training experience that have been obtained by teachers have significant results on teacher self-efficacy and teacher general efficacy. The findings of this study are that educational background and training experience have a significant influence on teacher self-efficacy. Therefore, teacher education institutions, especially PGPAUD and PIAUD study programs, need to improve the quality of teachers to be in line with educational needs in the field.
