Abstract

Strengthening the character of students in higher education is very important. For this reason, it is necessary to internalize local cultural values. One of the cultures in Indonesia is the Minangkabau culture in West Sumatra. This culture is inseparable from the noble values adopted and developed by the Minangkabau people from the past until now. This study aims to find out more about the internalization of the value of Sumbang Duo Baleh as a strengthening of the character of PGMI students at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative research method that describes what it is or provides a clearer picture of strengthening student character with Minangkabau cultural values. The results showed that the internalization of values was implemented through various dimensions including policy, curriculum, learning, student activities, and daily activities. The conclusion is that the internalization of sumbang duo baleh values strengthens student character.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning can be used as an effort to foster an attitude of respect for diversity from an early age. However, students' learning motivation in PAI learning is still low, mainly due to the dominant and teacher-centered lecture method. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of INSAN (The Beauty of Mutual Respect in Diversity) animated video in increasing students' learning motivation in PAI learning. The research method used is Design and Development (D&D) with the ADDIE development model. The data was collected using a questionnaire and the feasibility test was conducted on 19 fourth grade students of SDN Sukanagara, Sumedang. The validation results showed that the INSAN animated video obtained an average percentage of 90.0% (very feasible) from media experts and 84.9% (very feasible) from material experts. The student response questionnaire showed an average percentage of 88.3%, which indicates a very positive response and high feasibility. In conclusion, the INSAN animated video is effective in increasing motivation to learn PAI and developing mutual respect in diversity.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Powtoon-based animation videos to improve students' critical thinking. The research method uses ADDIE which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research sample was class IV A as the experimental class and IV B as the control class. The results of the study include the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of the product. The feasibility of the product is considered valid based on the validation results, with an average Aiken index of 0.808 for material, 0.958 for language, and 0.608 for media. The practicality of the product was seen from the responses of educators (90%) and students (89%), both of which were interpreted as very practical. The effectiveness of the product was measured through a comparison of the improvement of critical thinking skills between the experimental and control classes. The results show that the experimental class has an effect size value of 0.798, which is interpreted as high. This proves that the use of Powtoon-based animated videos significantly improves critical thinking skills compared to those who do not use the product.

Abstract

In this digital era, the student evaluation process can be carried out anywhere and at any time, this makes teachers think creatively about using information and communication technology in student evaluation activities. One method used by teachers in the student evaluation process is by using the Google Form application. This research is about "Effectiveness of Using Digital Media in Evaluation of Student Learning at MIS Nurul Falah, West Aceh Regency". The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of using Google Form digital media in evaluating student learning at MIS Nurul Falah, West Aceh Regency. This research uses a quantitative approach and the type of research used is descriptive research. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The results of this research can be concluded that the use of Google Form digital media in evaluating student learning at MIS Nurul Falah, West Aceh Regency is considered very effective with a percentage of 84.8%. Therefore, Google Form evaluation media can be an evaluation media option that is considered effective, practical and efficient when it is used in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effect of using Smart Explosion Box media on student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education subjects in grade IV Elementary School. This study adopted a quantitative approach. The quantitative approach involves data collection, data analysis, and numerical presentation of results. The research was conducted at SDN 182/I Hutan Lindung with the hope of making a positive contribution to the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education in grade IV elementary schools. Based on data analysis by testing the normality and homogeneity of distribution, the average Post-test result in the experimental class reached 75.26, followed by a t test which showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05. This finding confirms that the use of smart explosion box media significantly affects student learning outcomes in Pancasila education subjects in grade IV elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in the effectiveness of Mathematics problem-solving between fifth-grade students of Gugus Dwija Wiyata Elementary School who use Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Problem Solving (PS) learning models. The research method used is an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. Experimental Group 1 (PBL) consisted of 44 students, while Experimental Group 2 (PS) consisted of 43 students. Data were collected through pretests and posttests using test questions, and data analysis was performed using the t-test. The results showed a difference in effectiveness between Experimental Group 1 and Experimental Group 2, with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 < 0.05. This indicates that the PBL learning model is more effective in improving Mathematics problem-solving skills compared to the PS model. Therefore, it is recommended that educators consider using the PBL learning model in Mathematics teaching at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of STAD cooperative learning model in learning fiqh grade IV in madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The research used a qualitative approach with a case study method involving data collection through interviews, document study and observation. Data analysis used triangulation and research team group discussion.  The research was conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Tarbiyatul Islam 01 Karawang involving teachers and grade IV students. The results of the study showed that the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model provided a number of positive impacts and results, such as increasing social interaction between students, strengthening collaborative skills, and building confidence in communicating and sharing ideas. This model also increases learning motivation, increases class participation, and encourages the development of problem-solving and critical thinking skills through group discussion and collaboration. Despite facing obstacles such as intensive preparation and effective group management, the application of the STAD model in Fiqh learning has a significant positive impact on the quality of learning and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Technological advances encourage the integration of technology in education in various schools, especially in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The role of teachers becomes important in utilizing technology, one of which is through the Game-Based Learning (GBL) method. This method presents a fun and varied learning experience through game elements such as prizes, challenges and scores. This study aims to explore the use of GBL in PAI at MI Islamiyah Butoh by utilizing the Quizlet application. The study used a qualitative approach with interviews as the data collection method. The results showed that the Quizlet app, which allows students to access materials and quizzes, was effective in improving students' motivation and grades. In addition, the app provides an evaluation at the end of the lesson, so MI Islamiyah Butoh succeeded in making an innovative transformation in PAI learning in the digital era. The use of GBL is proven to make learning more effective, interesting and relevant.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan untuk mengenalisis pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran ips berbasis kearifan lokal terhadap kesadaran budaya siswa sekolah dasar bertepatan di desa Tanjung di UPT SDN 002 Tanjung koto kampar hulu, penerapan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif bentuk eksperimen jenis Pre-Eksperimen one Gruoup Pretest posttest design. Pada populasinya adalah seluruh siswa Kelas V dengan jumlah siswa 25 orang dan sekaligus menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini metode observasi,Wawancara,tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisi inferensial yang digunakan yaitu mengunakan rumus statistik tes”t”dependent dengan rumus Paired Sampel t tes untuk menguji hipotesis dengan bantuan aplikasi spss. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan yang telah dipaparkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran ips berbasis kearifan lokal memiliki dampak positif terhadap kesadaran budaya siswa sekolah dasar. Adanya pengaruh tersebut didukung dengan data bahwa nilai mean pretest sebesar 64,00, sedangkan nilai mean posttest sebesar 83,40. Hasil lainnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh terhadap hasil pengujian hipotesis atau uji t sampel berpasangan yaitu 0,000 < 0,000. Jika 0,05 maka H1 diterima. Menunjukkan perbedaan tingkat perkembangan kesadaran budaya siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan pembelajaran IPS berbasis kearifan lokal.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the steps of applying the LOK-R learning model to improve the science literacy of grade IV and V students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Kedungrejo. The LOK-R learning model includes planning, implementation, and evaluation, and is used to improve science literacy at MI Al-Islamiyah Kedungrejo. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with a field research approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the LOK-R learning model was effective in improving students' science literacy. In the planning stage, teachers and students prepare materials and develop learning objectives. At the implementation stage, literacy activities, orientation, collaboration, and reflection were carried out. At the evaluation stage, the improvement in science literacy competencies was significant, with 32 out of 35 students showing improvement. Before implementation, only 15 students had good IPAS literacy, but after implementation, the number increased to 32 students. The LOC-R learning model is proven to be effective for improving IPAS literacy in science learning.
