Abstract

Education is the foundation of human life that cannot be separated from the lifelong learning process. However, education today is often focused on cognitive aspects, neglecting the importance of character and moral formation. Phenomena such as bullying in schools show the low and real moral degradation among students, even though they have good academic achievements. This article examines the role of Islamic religious education in shaping the character of global diversity in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, by emphasizing the importance of moral and spiritual values in education. Through this approach, it is expected that students will not only become intelligent individuals but also have noble characters and are able to get along well in society and in the school environment. This research uses the Systematic Literature Review method to explore relevant literature, and the results show that character education based on religious values can overcome the problem of negative behavior among students. Thus, Islamic religious education plays an important role in creating a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also has high moral integrity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Pancasila student profile strengthening project at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This research employs a mixed-method approach with the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. Data collection techniques used in this study include interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. The research subjects consist of madrasah heads, class teachers, and students. The objects of this study are Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Bukhori Pekanbaru, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Birra Pekanbaru, and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Tahfidz Cendekia Pekanbaru. The data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and verification/conclusion. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) learning using the CIPP model at the Pekanbaru City Elementary Madrasah is still in the less-than-good category and requires various improvements. These improvements are mainly needed at three main stages, namely input, process, and product. At the input stage, aspects that require attention include P5 learning resources, the availability of human resources that support P5 learning, and the P5 learning planning flow. At the process stage, improvements are needed in implementing P5 learning. Meanwhile, at the product stage, the learning outcomes of P5 learning also require improvement.

Abstract

The preliminary reading comprehension test revealed that 25 students scored below the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), while 3 students scored above it, with an average score of 51.15. This study aims to improve students’ reading comprehension using the Know-Want to Know-Learned (KWL) strategy, supported by series image media. A quasi-experimental design with a Nonequivalent Control Group was used, consisting of three groups: the first experimental group using KWL with series image media, the second experimental group using KWL, and the control group applying conventional methods. The ANOVA test showed a significant difference with a p-value of 0.004 (p < 0.05). The average posttest scores were 83.00 for the first experimental class, 80.47 for the second experimental class, and 74.30 for the control class. The n-gain scores indicated high categories for both experimental classes (0.78 and 0.75) and a medium category for the control class (0.68). These results suggest that the KWL strategy significantly enhances students’ reading comprehension.

Abstract

Science literacy is the ability to apply scientific knowledge in daily life, yet students' science literacy in Indonesia remains low. This study aims to develop ethnoscience-based electronic student worksheets (e-LKPD) and evaluate their feasibility, attractiveness, and effectiveness. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ASSURE development model. The results show that the e-LKPD received validation from three experts: material experts (95.55%), design experts (91.66%), and learning practitioners (83.00%), all falling into the very valid category. The worksheets were found to be highly attractive, with a score of 85.21%. The N-Gain score was 0.79, indicating high effectiveness. The independent sample T-test revealed a significant difference in science literacy between the experimental and control classes (p = 0.001, less than 0.05). In conclusion, ethnoscience-based e-LKPD effectively enhances students' science literacy, as shown by the improvement from pretest to posttest results.

Abstract

This character development can be carried out through the Project for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile and the Rahmatan Lil Alamin (P5 RA) which is based on local regional wisdom. Bojonegoro is an area rich in local wisdom such as batik and typical food. However, the majority of students have low knowledge and skills in understanding local wisdom. So, there is a need for a P5 RA module based on local wisdom. The aim of this research is to develop a phase B P5 RA module based on local wisdom. This module will highlight material about Bojonegoro Traditional Cuisine. This research uses the ADDIE method with detailed stages of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The research results showed that the module developed had high validity in terms of content, language and visual design, and received positive responses from teachers and students. The implementation of the module succeeded in increasing students' understanding of Pancasila values and the local culture of Bojonegoro. This research recommends the use of similar modules as part of contextual learning in the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to increase the motivation of class 2B SDIT Al Bashirah students to learn fiqh material about the pillars of prayer by using prayer bag media. As a result of monotonous conventional learning methods, students tend to be passive and unmotivated. Prayer bag media is an interactive tool that allows students to learn visually and practice directly about prayer movements. The Classroom Action Research (PTK) method, which is used in two cycles, uses the Kemmis and McTaggart model. After data was collected through documentation, interviews, and observations, qualitative descriptive analysis was used. The results showed that learners felt more motivated to learn after using the prayer bag media. In the pre-cycle, only 11% of learners showed excellent motivation, in cycle I it increased to 22% and 50% in cycle II. It is evident that the use of prayer bag media increases learners' engagement, enthusiasm and understanding of the material. This study suggests the use of innovative media in Islamic religious education to make education more interesting and effective.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the profile of syntactic complexity abilities in elementary school aged 7 - 8 years in Surakarta. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey-based descriptive design using multi-stage sampling which focuses on observing a single variable. Each respondent's sentence complexity will be calculated using analysis of language samples obtained from the results of the conversation, and the results will be analyzed descriptively statistically. The results show that interrogative, complex and compound-complex sentences are in the low group. Complete sentences, subject, predicate, object, information, declarative, simple, compound, active and passive are in the medium group. The syntactic abilities of children aged 7-8 years are mostly adequate, but have not yet reached their maximum potential. The role of teachers, speech therapists, and parents is important in optimizing this development through active language stimulation, syntactic structure practice, and early detection, taking into account environmental and social factors.
