Abstract

This research was motivated by children who rarely learn science because the activities carried out are not appropriate for early childhood. Science learning for young children is very important because it can build a strong foundation for their scientific understanding in the future. At an early age, the approach used in teaching science must be fun, interactive, and appropriate to the child's developmental stage. So the aim of this research is to find out the extent of children's cognitive abilities by carrying out simple science learning through play activities to get to know taste. The research method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method, namely a method used to describe actual phenomena. To support this research, data was collected using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are that there are five playing activities to get to know taste, namely exploring taste, matching taste, guessing taste, creating taste, and making a taste book. By doing these activities, young children not only learn about taste but also develop important cognitive skills such as problem solving, memory, and understanding concepts. Activities that involve this sense make science learning more interesting and interactive.

Abstract

Measuring employee performance is a critical component of ensuring the success and sustainability of a business in a competitive and dynamic business environment. The objective of this research is to create a web-based employee performance monitoring information system that can address the obstacles associated with managing employee performance, including data inaccuracy, reporting delays, and a lack of visibility of employee progress. The prototype method was employed to design this system, which enables the system to be developed iteratively in response to user feedback. This system's primary capabilities include the ability to access and revise employee data, prospects, and performance reports in real-time. The black box testing method was employed to evaluate the implementation of this system, and the results indicated that all of the features that were developed were valid and functioning properly. Ultimately, this system will facilitate more appropriate decision-making and increase company productivity by enabling companies to more effectively monitor employee performance. In summary, the information system for monitoring employee performance that has been developed provides a practical and effective solution to the numerous obstacles that organizations encounter when administering their performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the functions of the Village Council (BPD) in the administration of village governance in Situterate Village, Cikande District, Serang Regency. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, involving in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. The findings indicate that the understanding of BPD members regarding their duties and functions is still limited, particularly in the areas of legislation and supervision. The level of education and training of BPD members significantly affects the effectiveness of their task performance, with better-educated and trained members demonstrating greater competence in fulfilling their roles. Coordination between BPD and the village government also needs improvement, especially in communication and role clarity. Moreover, public participation in village governance remains low, primarily due to a lack of socialization and transparency in the decision-making process. Bureaucratic complexity and administrative hurdles frequently impede the implementation of BPD work programs. The study suggests enhancing training, education, and coordination, as well as simplifying bureaucracy to support more effective BPD task execution.
