Abstract

This article explores the historical journey of the formation of the Indonesian state, starting from the role of BPUPKI (The Investigating Committee for Preparatory Work for Indonesian Independence) to the formulation of Pancasila as the nation's foundational ideology. BPUPKI, established in 1945, played a key role in preparing Indonesia's independence and formulating the inclusive foundations of the state, including through the Jakarta Charter. Pancasila, with its five principles, was designed to unite Indonesia's diverse cultures, religions, and ethnicities. This article uses a mixed-methods approach, including historical analysis of primary and secondary sources to understand the process of Pancasila’s formulation, as well as qualitative research on the practice of civic education. The focus of this study is on how Pancasila’s values are taught and internalized by students, as well as the challenges faced in maintaining the relevance of civic education amidst the development of globalization and technology. The article concludes that the foundational ideology, Pancasila, plays an important role in maintaining Indonesia's pluralistic unity while balancing the preservation of traditional values and accommodating the changing times in civic education, ensuring that these principles remain relevant and strengthen the unity of the Indonesian nation amid ongoing global dynamics.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a unique phenomenon at PKBM Ibnu Abbas School, where elementary school students can speak Arabic fluently despite the school not being a pesantren. This condition is intriguing to study as it is rare to find elementary schools that successfully create a consistent Arabic-speaking environment. The main issue addressed in this research is how the school environment can support the development of students' Arabic-speaking skills. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Arabic-speaking environment at PKBM Ibnu Abbas School, both inside and outside the classroom, analyze the influence of this environment on students' speaking skills, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of Arabic-speaking skills. The research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was conducted through direct observation, interviews with teachers, and documentation. The research subjects were fifth-grade students, focusing on the practice of using Arabic in various school activities. The results showed that the implementation of the Arabic-speaking environment at PKBM Ibnu Abbas School is highly effective. Teachers, staff, and students actively use Arabic in daily communication. Supporting factors include proactive school policies, teacher involvement in modeling Arabic use, the use of learning media such as posters and videos, and the application of the immersion method. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors consist of students' limited vocabulary and the influence of the dominant use of the mother tongue outside the school environment. This research concludes that the success of developing Arabic-speaking skills at PKBM Ibnu Abbas School is supported by a conducive Arabic-speaking environment, reinforced by school policies, and active interaction between teachers, staff, and students.

Abstract

Education is carried out to explore and then develop various competencies that already exist in each student. These competencies include abilities in the scientific field, attitudes, and skills. These three competency domains should be developed optimally and in a balanced way both in the learning process in class and in the implementation of assessments/evaluations. Facts on the ground show that the procedure for developing psychomotor evaluation of the prayer material at MTs Darunna'im using the R&D model has been able to produce a valid, reliable, objective, systematic, practical and effective assessment instrument. This study aims to develop a valid, reliable, objective, systematic, practical and effective psychomotor evaluation tool. The research activity consisted of two stages, namely development and limited trials. The development stage includes data analysis carried out in two stages, namely at the development stage and at the end of the limited trial. Analysis at the model development stage was carried out using qualitative and quantitative approaches. This means that the performance evaluation instrument is feasible to use.

Abstract

This article presents an esoteric interpretation of the understanding of the Qur'an by the Sufis as a result of the internalization of Qur'anic values and prophetic traditions that are always seen in a world of ambiguity. Namely exoteric meaning and esoteric meaning. This study strengthens the opinion that the interpretation of the Qur'an carried out by Sufis has a scientific basis of takwili that is sourced and does not conflict with the Qur'an. This article expresses the disapproval of the Sufis on the circulation of statements by philosophers, theologians or mutakallimun and also legal experts (fuqaha') who often negate the esoteric dimension in understanding the Qur'an. Through esoteric interpretation of the understanding of the Qur'an, it has placed the Qur'an as a hammalat lil wujuh, which can accommodate various meanings, so that new meanings are very likely to be accommodated by it without experiencing difficulties and obstacles.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the behavior of a successful entrepreneur named Ir. Sholah Al Athiyah is based on the teachings of the Koran and to fill the void in Muslim entrepreneurship literature and to reveal new findings that have not been explored by other researchers. Ir. Sholah Al Athiyah is an entrepreneur and businessman who lives in Egypt. The exact definition of the term entrepreneurship is still being discussed, so that research on entrepreneurship remains relevant. The source of discussion in this article is the Al-Qur'an, because the study provides a deeper understanding of the basic contents of the Al-Qur'an. Therefore, this article tries to answer the attitude of Ir. Sholah Al Athiyah in Islamic entrepreneurship based on the Koran. This research needs to be carried out considering that the current development of large corporations requires business research that comes directly from the Al-Qur’an as a reference and facts about Islamic figures. This research uses library research methods and examines relevant scientific articles as data sources. The results of this research contain several basic verses about entrepreneurship. This verse relates to the attitude of business actors when running a business. Lastly, the concept of Islamic entrepreneurship would be very suitable to be applied because it contains two meanings Hablumminannas and Hablumminallah, as is the attitude of Ir. Sholah Al Athiyah who always adheres to the values of the verses of the Koran and makes Allah SWT the main investor.

Abstract

Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture (Permendikbud) Number 26 of 2017 concerning Instructions and Techniques for School Operational Assistance is a form of the state's commitment to fulfilling the demands of the opening of the 1945 Constitution. Through this Minister of Education and Culture Regulation, it is hoped that national education will be able to guarantee equal distribution of educational opportunities, improve the quality and relevance and efficiency of education management especially on financing standards to face challenges in the era of globalization. Several important points in this Permendikbud are the ease of learning with the existence of free compulsory education (fair) for 12 years, namely SD/MI, SMP/MTs and SMA/MA. Thus, the commitment made by the government must of course be supported by other stakeholders so that this program can be realized and is on target. So that there will be no issues related to the free 12th compulsory education program which is none other than the existence of BOS/BOM funds.

Abstract

The importance of the implementation of prophetic values in the formation of student character in madrasas, especially in MTs Al-Hafizh Surabaya. Emphasis on affective and psychomotor aspects in education is urgently needed to overcome various deviant behaviors among students, such as brawls and drug abuse. Prophetic education, which is grounded in the values of humanization, liberation, and transcendence, offers an approach to developing students' potential and strengthening their faith. This study uses a qualitative type of research. Data and documents were collected and compiled using in-depth interview techniques, participant observation and documentation studies. The data and documents are then checked for validity through triangulation of sources, techniques and time. Furthermore, the data and documents are analyzed in a qualitative descriptive manner. The result of this research is that MTs Al-Hafizh has implemented prophetic values into the school's vision and mission, through routine activities such as congregational prayers and religious learning. The active role of principals, teachers, and homeroom teachers in internalizing these values is very important, supported by intense communication with students' parents. Thus, it is hoped that students can develop good character, integrity, and responsibility, be ready to face the challenges of the times and contribute positively to society.

Abstract

This study examines Palestine’s claims against Israel for war crimes through the International Criminal Court (ICC). The prolonged conflict between Israel and Palestine has resulted in numerous violations of international humanitarian law, including war crimes, crimes against humanity, and human rights violations. This study aims to analyze the legal basis for Palestine’s claims and ICC’s jurisdiction in prosecuting Israel, given that Israel is not a party to the Rome Statute. The research employs a document analysis method, examining various sources of international law, official reports, and ICC rulings on similar cases. The findings reveal that Palestine has met the requirements to be a state party to the Rome Statute since 2015, enabling it to file claims against Israel. Although Israel is not an ICC member, the Court can exercise jurisdiction since the alleged crimes occurred in Palestinian territory, which has accepted ICC’s authority. This study also identifies various war crimes committed by Israel, including attacks on civilians, the use of prohibited weapons, and obstruction of humanitarian aid. Thus, the findings highlight the urgency of ICC’s involvement in prosecuting this case to uphold international law and provide justice for the victims of the conflict.
