Abstract

Youth empowerment in rural areas plays a crucial role in developing the potential and skills of the younger generation to contribute to the progress of society. Lempangang Village, located in Gowa Regency, has great potential to improve the quality of life for its residents, especially the youth, which can be maximized through empowerment programs. One such program designed by the Lempangang Youth Organization (Karang Taruna) to enhance the skills and abilities of the village's youth is the Lempangang English Club (LEC), which aims to improve the youth's English language skills through fun and interactive learning activities. This study aims to analyze the implementation and impact of the LEC program on youth empowerment in Lempangang Village. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, the research gathered data through interviews, observations, and documentation of activities conducted by LEC members. The results show that the LEC program not only enhances the English proficiency of elementary, middle, and high school participants, but also has a positive impact on their self-confidence, social skills, and preparedness for entering the workforce. The program also encourages youth to become more active in social and community activities, thus increasing their role in village development. However, there are challenges faced, such as limited facilities and resources, which need to be addressed to maximize the program’s impact. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening supporting infrastructure, increasing stakeholder involvement, and expanding the program to other villages as part of a broader youth empowerment effort.

Abstract

In Ketanonageng Village, Sragi District, the activity of reciting the Maghrib Koran has become part of the community's tradition. This activity, which is usually participated in by children, aims to introduce them more closely to the Koran and Islamic values, as well as strengthen their devotion from an early age. The iqro' method is the method used in Koran recitation activities in Ketanonageng Village, Sragi District. The aim of this research is to find out how the Maghrib Koran recitation activity is implemented in Ketanonageng Village, Sragi District, Pekalongan Regency, and to find out the level of success that has been achieved in this activity. Abstract

Cangak village is wrong one corn producing village in the Regency Pemalang. Corn can be processed into several one of the processed products is plethok corn. Not only corn that can be processed but corn waste can also be processed into briquettes. Briquettes from corn is a renewable energy alternative. Which environmentally friendly and potential replace fossil fuels. The method that used in carrying out community service includes an approach through discussion, socialization and training, and practice. Results of activities the dedication that is carried out shows that there is an increased understanding regarding transfers technology on IPNU and IPPNU youth corn made into processed snacks and corn kernels can be made into briquettes beneficial for local community MSMEs

Abstract

The Tax Volunteer Program at Universitas Hasyim Asy’ari aims to increase tax awareness in the community through assistance with Annual Tax Return (SPT) filing. This initiative involves students as volunteers who undergo intensive training in taxation, including SPT filing procedures and the tax volunteer code of conduct. During the February–March 2025 period, the volunteers assisted approximately 800 taxpayers at various locations, in collaboration with the Jombang Primary Tax Office (KPP Pratama Jombang). Evaluation results indicate that the program ran successfully and made a significant contribution to supporting taxpayer compliance, with success measured by activity scores validated by the Directorate General of Taxes of the Republic of Indonesia. As a follow-up, a “Tax Goes to School” program is planned to instill tax awareness from an early age. This program not only supports the Directorate General of Taxes but also enriches students’ experience in community service in line with the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

Abstract

This community service program was designed to enhance the professionalism of Accounting Service Offices (KJA) in Malang through training in communication skills and ethical understanding. The program aims to make a significant contribution to improving service quality, maintaining integrity, and supporting the economic development of the community. The community partners comprised professionals from KJA, with the training conducted over three months, involving interdisciplinary lecturers for a holistic approach. The training methods included delivering fundamental materials through seminars, demonstrations and simulations, as well as evaluations and mentoring. Data collection employed a quantitative approach using questionnaires and a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews. Quantitative results revealed that 80% of participants experienced significant improvement in communication skills, while 70% reported enhanced ethical understanding, positively impacting workplace relationships and the professional image of the office. Qualitative findings supported these results, highlighting that the training enhanced participants' ability to make ethical decisions and build harmonious workplace relationships. This program demonstrates that training in communication skills and ethics is a strategic investment to enhance organizational professionalism and integrity. These findings are relevant to strengthening professional services in the service sector and fostering a productive work culture, providing long-term benefits for individuals and organizations.

Abstract

Women dominate food traders in the Kembang Kuning area. Most of the food businesses they run are small businesses carried out at home or around the grave area. The business activities carried out by Kembang Kuning Mulyo women are still relatively simple. Food products are only sold in front of the house using a table to place food. Unfortunately, traders pay little attention to hygiene standards, have limited knowledge of capital calculations and product cost, and refrain from using promotional media. The solution to overcome this problem is to provide education and practice regarding healthy and clean food business management, provide simple counseling regarding business finances, and help design promotional media such as banners or posters. Program implementation begins with problem identification, followed by implementing each activity according to plan, monitoring and evaluation, and assistance after completing the program. Through this service program, women can apply hygienic steps in every business process, calculate profits and losses from their merchandise, and have banners to beautify their stalls. Overall, this community service program ran smoothly. The partners showed high enthusiasm during the mentoring, as evidenced by their willingness to provide information, participate in counseling, and have active discussions.

Abstract

Ngampel Village in Ngusikan Sub-district, Jombang Regency, struggles with managing agricultural waste, particularly rice husks generated from rice production. Often underutilized, this waste contributes to environmental degradation. This community service initiative seeks to educate residents on transforming rice husks into briquettes as a sustainable energy source while enhancing the economic potential of agricultural byproducts. The project adopts a systematic method, including semi-carbonization, blending with binders, molding, and drying, to produce quality briquettes. This approach reduces environmental pollution from improper waste disposal, lowers fire risks, and encourages innovative resource use. Outcomes reveal heightened community awareness of sustainable waste management and increased interest in briquette production as a viable, eco-friendly energy option. This initiative underscores the value of community-driven innovation in tackling environmental issues and unlocking economic opportunities through agricultural waste utilization.

Abstract

The development of 21st century competencies such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication has become a key focus in educational institution. These four competencies are closely linked to the use of technology in learning. Unfortunately, the rapid advancement of technology is often not matched by teachers' readiness, both in terms of knowledge and skills. To address this challenge, the team organized a workshop aimed at enhancing teachers' competencies in utilizing Augmented Reality-based learning media at SDN Kranggan 2. The target of this community service activity was all teachers at the school. The program was carried out in three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation, using brainstorming, lecture, and question-and-answer methods. This workshop provided a platform for teachers to share experiences, receive material on technology use in education, and engage in interactive discussions. The results showed a very positive response from participants, with a satisfaction score of 97.4%. Participants were enthusiastic about the training on using Assemblr Studio, as it allowed them to create the needed learning media. Prior to this, they had never attended a training with similar content. In the feedback questionnaire, participants also suggested extending the duration of the workshop to allow for more material to be covered. Additionally, they expressed a desire for follow-up guidance so that all teachers could eventually create engaging learning media using Assemblr Studio and Canva.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is one of the important factors in strengthening the Indonesian economy, especially through the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector which has proven to be resilient in facing the global crisis. Kepuhrejo Village, Jombang Regency, has abundant natural potential, such as tamarind and spices, but has not been optimally utilized. Through a community service program, students carry out training to maximize this natural potential in order to develop traditional herbal medicine-based products that can improve the local economy. This activity aims to build community interest in entrepreneurship, provide innovation in the utilization of local resources, and create sustainable business opportunities. The method used is Community Based Research (CBR), involving local communities in training in making herbal medicine products from natural ingredients. The results of the activity show an increase in community awareness of the potential of the surrounding nature and the ability to create products of high economic value. This program has succeeded in contributing to the development of MSMEs in kepuhrejo Village, as well as opening up wider and more sustainable business opportunities for the local community.

Abstract

Kemampuan public speaking merupakan keterampilan esensial bagi siswa di era globalisasi untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri, efektivitas komunikasi, dan daya saing global. Namun, keterampilan ini sering terabaikan dalam sistem pendidikan formal, termasuk di MTsN 17 Jombang. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pendampingan pengembangan keterampilan public speaking siswa melalui metode yang interaktif dan sistematis. Program ini mencakup survei awal, sesi teori, workshop, simulasi, dan pendampingan individual, serta melibatkan pelatihan guru untuk keberlanjutan program. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kepercayaan diri dan keterampilan komunikasi siswa. Siswa mampu mengelola suara, bahasa tubuh, dan audiens dengan lebih baik, serta menunjukkan penguasaan materi yang lebih terstruktur. Guru yang terlibat juga mendapatkan wawasan baru untuk mendukung pembelajaran berbasis public speaking. Dengan pendekatan holistik yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islami, program ini berhasil menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendorong pengembangan karakter dan keterampilan abad ke-21. Program ini diharapkan menjadi model implementasi keterampilan komunikasi di sekolah berbasis Islam.
